Sizes of icons?

Hello

I use default icons Adobe AIR sizes: 128, 72, 48, 36, 32 and 16. However, in the Simulator, I can see a little icon (small size) instead of a larger size as 128px.

Is this a bug or do I need to use a different size?

I use 90 x 90 icons named blackberry-tablets - icon.png. Visit the Start Guide for developers in the BlackBerry Tablet OS development resources.

  • Sizes of icons for Windows 7

My application is running in Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and I use LabWindows/CVI 10.0.1. I created an icon file in the editor of icons included. I kept the size 32 x 32 and 16 x 16 default and added 48 x 48 and 256 x 256, all with 32-bit color versions. I put the settings of the target to use this new icon.

When I look at the folder containing the executable file of my application in Windows Explorer and go through the different methods of the folder view, not all sizes of the icon. Picture 16 x 16 is used for views list and details, and I increase the size of icons versions of 32 x 32 and 48 x 48 seem to kick. Then, when the size of the icons gets in the Middle, I see LabWindows/CVI default icon (the one that looks like a window with the symbol "cvi" inside). As I do even bigger icons, possibly version 256 x 256 of my custom icon takes over.

MSDN seems to say that these three dimensions are all necessary sizes for Windows 7. How can I replace the application icon "cvi" default for all sizes? Is it necessary to use a different icon editor to create a few different sizes of icon image?

    Thank you

What is probably happening is that your icon cache is corrupt. Searching online, I found different ways to solve this problem and none of them 'official' Microsoft, so I hesitate to recommend a way to rebuild your icon cache. However, I have to solve this was delete C:\Users\\AppData\Local\IconCache.db and restart my system. The IconCache.db was rebuilt and the correct icon shows for larger sizes rather than the default. It seems that the first icon, you display the size large/XLarge remains stuck in the IconCache. For example, I changed my icon before the consultation at a larger size (never seen the CVI icon) and the icon I used was the one stuck to the size large/XLarge. I don't think it will be a problem on a target system because you will not modify the icon we that you distribute the application.

It's not not clear to me, if there is a problem with a Windows bug (I saw similar reports on various forums, but nothing official), with our editor icons, or how ICB home icons from executables. I filed bug 354481 to investigate this issue report.

  • It is best to set the resolution size and icon of the screen up

It is best to set the maximum screen resolution before attempting to adjust the size of icons and text on the desktop, notification area, Quick Launch bar and start menu? I know that the icons can be made to the largest and by choosing a lower screen resolution but y at - it a benefit to have the maximum resolution? My view is not too good and I need icons and text to be big enough.

    Hello

The screen, or the screen resolution, resolution refers to the size of the whole image displayed on your computer screen. Specifically, he refers the number of picture elements, or pixels, which are displayed at the same time. A pixel is the smallest element on your computer screen, the more pixels, the more detailed the picture will be. With fewer pixels, display items will be larger, but there will be less space on the desktop for windows and the programs to run.

You can visit the link provided below for more information about the screen resolution in Windows XP.

  • Some sizes of icons are missing in the AIR for the android settings

In the new CC animate, icons in 'AIR for iOs parameters' list have been updated (180, 60, 75, 87, 167 have been added), but the icons in the list in 'AIR for Android settings' is always the same...

We need icons for 144px and 192px:

    < image144x144 >... < / image144x144 >

    < image192x192 >... < / image192x192 >

For now, I have to add them manually whenever I opened the AIR for Android defining which reset the app descriptor file, it's really annoying.

Is it possible to change this list somewhere in a config file, update animate IDE?

Always on management of icons in flash/animated in the IDE.

When go us for iOs AIR and AIR for Android, icons lists are reset every time and we have to choose each one icons again, is such a waste of time.

Why the specifications of the icons are not stored for each platform?

And a little more automatic to set these icons would be very great, a few ideas:

    • Double click directly in the list to open the Browse dialog box directly
    • Add the ability to directly select a directory map and automatic files icon in the list

    Hello

We are currently working on adding the sizes of icons in the AIR for the Android settings dialog box. Will update you did once.

I added your other suggestions related to the management of icon to our backlog of product for review.

  • Size ThinApp icons?

    Hi all

I have a small but weird question.

I use a .ico file that its resolution is 21 x 21. This file icon is also used as a header of an hta file.

Outside the Thinapp, everything works fine and dandy.

After compilation, however, the icon does not show, on the file and in the hta in its header...

Is there a specific standard for sizes of icons in order for Thinapp use?

    Thank you!!

Hello, after some tinkering around, I found that the icon file was indeed not standard.

I converted to a more standard resolution, 32 x 32, and now it works perfectly.

Looks like Thinapp can be a bit picky about the non-standard icons.

  • Size of icons on the desktop

The icons on my desktop got a huge while I was working.  I tried to change the resolution of the screen, but it has no effect.  The police is of normal size, but the icons are huge.  How to make their return to normal?

    Method One

    1 / right-click on a vacant part of the Office .

2 / in the drop-down menu , click the view option.

3 / in the context menu , click one of the following options:

    • Large icons.
    • Medium-sized icons.
    • Classic icons.

The classic icons option will reduce the size the most.

    Second method

If you really want to control the size of the icons on the desktop, then here is a tweak that is really simple to do exactly that.

1 / make sure that the Office is at the point. In other words, click the office button to bring the Office to forward (assuming that you have other programs open).

2 / place your mouse on a free part of the desktop, and then hold down the CTRL (control) key.

3 / press CTRL and hold, and then, with your mouse scroll button, scroll the mouse towards the wheel upwards or downwards to increase or decrease the size of the icons.

4 / once the icons are the size you want, release the CTRL key.

5 / your desktop icons should now appear in a more appropriate size.

  • Cannot change the size of icons on the screen

Original title: change the size of the icons?

I had a 256 x 256 icons (+ a few small icons 128 x 128). They are partially transparent. I have an external hard drive connected to my computer. It contains several folders and I gave some of the folders of custom icons. However, I can put is more properly custom folders icons. Although the files are 256 x 256 (I tried many programs and converters and windows says they are 256 x 256) the size of the icons on the screen is small and there is a gray lines around the area.

If I hold down the Ctrl key and use the mouse wheel, they get smaller and then back to their maximum size, but not as large as I want. The old icons/folders are set correctly.

    Hi UnknownAsker,

Is this a recent problem? If so, restore the computer to an earlier date when the sizing worked properly. This document includes the steps.

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.
