Skype 7.14.0.106 "sign me up when Skype starts".

Looks like Skype 7.14.0.106 the option ' to sign me in when Skype starts "disappeared. Normally disable it for security reasons. However, the last update (7.14.0.106) the option is not on the login screen more and I can't find it in the Skype or another option. (Used generally for settings)

Can anyone help?

Thank you

This option is not available in the version 7.14 , but you can find this option in the tools of-> Options-> General settings if you update your Skype to the currently latest version 7.15 .

  • Sign Me In when Skype starts is grayed out

    Hi all

PC running Windows 7. My updated Skype updated to 7.17 on 1/8 and now today 7,18. Since the 7.17 install, my credentials are no longer save and "Sign me in when Skype starts" is grayed out and I can't check. My username will save even more. In addition to this, whenever I connect now, I receive notifications about files sent by someone who sent me a weeks file, and he keeps asking me to configure my camera. I tried to uninstall, delete the folder appdata and reinstalling several times, but no luck.

You have very restrictive of the defined policy settings. I guess you see something similar to this:

    http://community.Skype.com/skypec/attachments/skypec/Windows/356381/1/asdfsdf.jpg

The key that prevents to create the profile folder is the one named MemoryOnly. You can remove this key or change the value to 0.

If you see a key named DisablePersonalization, and then delete this key too or change the value to 0.

  • How to start Skype automatically when I start up mac os?

I installed Skype on a mac and I need start Skype manually each time I log on mac os. On my pc Skype starts as soon as I start windows. How can I get this option on a mac as well? I went through the options but I could not find this feature.

    Thank you

    Hi Anna,.

Click the icon (top left of your screen) Apple > System Preferences > users and groups.

Then, by default, the "Password" button is selected on the top. Click on the button "Login Items".

Here you can add items, folders, applications, network even locations which will be launched during its connection.

Find Skype in your Applications and add and it will start automatically when you start your Mac.

(I have OSX Lion, if you have something else, it might be a little different, but I think the general idea is the same

    Good luck!

  • 6.18 Skype starts, the process ends directly after startup

Running Windows 7 family SP1, X 64, the latest version of Skype.

Whenever I run Skype, the output connected icon in the taskbar, but it disappears as soon as I have the mouse over it. Looking at the Task Manager, Skype starts and ends and then right away.

Event Viewer / custom views / administrative events has the following entries, which may or may not be connected: http://pastebin.com/j2VDpAbF

    I already tried things:

    • Uninstalling and reinstalling

    • Uninstall, remove the folder appdata (roaming and Local), remove entries from registry of Skype and re - install.

    • Running Disk Cleanup Skype running as administrator.

    • Running Microsoft Fixit ProgramInstallUninstall to uninstall before installing again.

I can't find older versions, I think because Microsoft wants to encourage the use of more secure versions / patched, so I can't say if this question is directly related to the most recent version, or something on my computer.

If anyone has any suggestions for what to try next, I would be really grateful.

  • Gmail sign in problems when using Firefox in Windows 8

I did not quite understand in what circumstances this is not the case, but several times when I boot my computer Windows 8, start Firefox (in mode 'desktop', 'metro', if that makes a difference (and go to http://gmail.com, I can't connect to my gmail account.)) After you enter the user name and password, the sign in simply 'hangs' or freezes. There is a sign in the progress bar that normally disappears in a blink of the eye, but instead it just stays there, empty and the sign in process is never finished. Clear the cache and cookies solves this problem, but it's annoying to have to do it every time I start my computer. If anyone has had this problem and is at - it a known solution?

Please check if you are able to start Firefox in a new profile.

    • Click on the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
    • Select an entry in the drop-down list
    • Press the DELETE key (on a Mac: shift + delete) to remove it.

  • Skype starts to run without apparent reason.

During the month, Skype has loaded with no assistance on my end. For example, at about 4:30 in the morning while I was in my room, Skype window showed on my screen. I use Skype a couple times a year, so I have it value never automatically load at startup or restart and usually forget that it even exist. I'm 100% sure that it is not a process running in the background (that I can find in the Task Manager) for my regular use of my computer. Is there a new reason why it would start to load on my machine, or it's just haunted? It is quite disconcerting to wake to noises because your computer has launched a program, you use really, so I'm almost serious to have a 'Ghost in [my] machine'. Please notify and let me know how I can provide data so it can help.
