After you connect the Live Vision camera to a port USB on your computer, the add new hardware wizard should launch automatically. Choose the option to let Windows Update to find the driver automatically. Once the driver is installed, the Live Vision camera should work with any software that supports USB, like Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Skype cameras, etc.

  Note: The Xbox Live Vision camera doesn't have a microphone like many webcams. If you want to use it to chat with audio and video, you will need to connect a microphone to your computer as well.

• Integrated cam Dell stopped working on Windows 10

  I have a Dell XPS 15 with 10 Windows L502x system. I use the system for about a month and a half now with no problems with my webcam integrated Quantas. Today, when I was on Skype, cam crashed and it wouldn't work then.

  So far, these are all the things I've tried:

  1. I restarted the PC.
  2. Uninstalled Dell Webcam Central, rebooted and then re-installed.
  3. Uninstalled the device image from the Device Manager and Windows 10 it has not detected during restart.
  4. Manually, tried to install the driver of quantum, it was installed in compatibility mode and still the imaging device does not appear in Device Manager.
  5. My PC Doctor Dell Diagnostics show no problem at all. All tests are passed.
     
  6. Tried to restore the PC to a previous point, still no luck.
  7. As a last resort, use the convenience store , it did not find any problems.
  8. Also tried to add a device manually in the Device Manager, but it does not work too. Also tried to add material inherited, still not fixed.

  My business depends on Skype calls and it's a great shot for me right now.

  I updated Windows 10 only after that the Microsoft tool showed me that my PC is ready and suitable for the upgrade of Windows 10. Please help me. Thanks in advance.

  When you try to access Skype, camera or Lync, apps crash when you try to initialize the camera.  When you try to start the camera application, I have the logo of the camera and it crashes and then back to Metro.  Features of Lync normally up to what I'm trying to access the video, how the application crashes.  Skype does not fire upwards, once you give the okay to use the webcam.

  Ideas or people with similar problems?  Last Friday, I received this tablet and the unit worked on 1 day... but it's not working today.  Many updates have been installed between yesterday and today and I do not know at what point it stopped working.

  Anyone with similar problems?  I tried to reinstall the applications and that didn't seem to make a difference.

  Hey, it looks like you were on the money...  Here is my solution: based on your info was updated on the site of Dell A05 driver is the culprit, I did some research and I found this site: www.laptop-software.com/.../dell-latitude-10-windows-8-drivers I downloaded A04 and says to replace the drivers even if those were more recent.  I rebooted and bam... my camera works again in all applications.  This was definitely killed by A05 drivers from the Dell support site now.
