Skype crashing after connecting a call.

Hi, I called my friend one day and it went off normally but after a few seconds, my Skype comes from crushed, which I suppose was trying to pick up. I tried several times over again, and even with the test call but it sounds and when it should be linked every time, it crashed. I tried to reinstall and clear appdata and all that, but it still does not work. Here's what I got after I ran the event viewer.

Name of the failing application: Skype.exe, version: 6.16.59.105, time stamp: 0x536b58dc
Name of the failed module: d3d9.dll, version: 2.3.8.27, time stamp: 0x5292e7c6
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Offset: 0x000026d6
ID of the process failed: 0x1ca8
Start time of application vulnerabilities: 0x01cf7ce5d7b79d49
The failing application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe
Path of the failing module: C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\d3d9.dll
Report ID: 1a0f5dd3-e8d9-11e3-aaf4-50465d072d6c

I don't know if this has been reported already before, but I cannot find a post that has been recently so I decided to just after mine. I've also attached a record of a directX diagnostic I ran as well.

There is a similar case reported here:

http://community.Skype.com/T5/Windows-desktop-client/Skype-6-16-0-105-constantly-crashing-during-Cha...

The version of the file d3d9.dll must have been installed by an application of part 3 (Skype recorder) and certainly, this dll file must not be present in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Skype\Phone\ folder. Delete the d3d9.dll file in this folder.

  • Skype crashing after Login Windows 8

So, I decided to get Skype today so I could discuss with my friends. I launched the Skype app first, and it says that the connection failed. So I decided to get the desktop version of Skype. I downloaded, installed and it worked fine. I registered and signed with success, when all of a sudden it appears with an error message Skype has stopped working and windows is checking for a solution. It is then implemented with windows can not find a solution. I thought I'd better try again, so I did and it happened again. I have decided to re - install Skype and restart my computer. After that I did then it came again with the same error message. So, I decided to look it up to see if had happened to other people, and it had. So, I tried some of the suggestions that had worked for the person, and yet they did not work for me. I just spent a few hours trying to get Skype to work and this is my last resort, so if someone could help me please explain why Skype does not work for me, it would be most grateful.

In one of the sons, one of the answers was to run a command and see the issue as an administrator, so I've attached a file with Skype crash text

  • Skype crashes after update, windows 7 64 bit

    Hello

How to fix something that's not broken. New Skype crashes whenever I am trying to make a call. It is so bad that it freezes on the entire system. I can't 'kill' the application by ctrl + alt + del, only solution to restart the system. I Googled, tried a few solutions, as little different installation versions and turned off auto-updates to date, but nothing helped.

I'm really mad, a lot of work important contacts are there, and I'm forced to use it on a small screen of my iPhone.

    I have

Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, as two or three months

    Avast antivirus 2015

Enough * beep * fast machine with God knows how many processors, 16 GB ram, great drive hard quick flash

Please, I need a working Skype, this update is a stupid idea.

OK, so, here is what I did (spoiler, video calls work once again):

-Updated drivers Nvidia (really doubt it hit anything, Skype broke again)

-Is back to the old version of Skype (does not work)

-Removed stuff from a list of the programms, loading at startup (Avast could not be removed so...)

    -Uninstalled Avast.

    It worked.

So I guess it could be reduced to Avast free Antivirus. And by the way, Skype has become a piece of shit really software that requires a magic set of conditions to work properly. I will be looking forward to an alternative to Skype. Thanks for all the Seraph, I mark a last as an accepted solution. Although an accepted solution would make decent software, as it used to be a few versions ago.

I have a huge problem my Skype crash when I try to call someone or receive a call.
I looked for solutions and tried all the solutions in this topic
    nothing has worked.

I have all the latest drivers from what I see. Problem seems to have started since the last update of Skype. What's wrong?

    Help me please

I had actually just to re - install.

I have 10 windows and Skype was kind of last version. So this helped me a lot. Didn't need to do this well at all in fact. Uninstall and reinstall.

  • Skype crashes after a few seconds on both PC and Galaxy S4

    Hello

I use Skype for quite a long time now and it's just kind of a weird thing:

I've been connected on Skype with my old Hotmail account and then went away and left it connected as I usually do.

When I come back a few minutes later, Skype is suddenly disconnected.

When I try to sign in again with my Hotmail account, it says that someone else may have used my Hotmail account and it must verify that I am the original user, but it's really old, so as far as I know is the address and the password.
No idea how to fix this, either. So I guess I'm stuck with just using my Skype account, without my Hotmail contacts.

Then I log in and about ~ 5 seconds later late Skype crashes. It happens every time. Tried on my phone and it goes also.

Nothing I know has happened lately. No malware, no one asking questions about the accounts, no update for what it is.

I really need help with this one.

    Thanks in advance.

If your Skype account is bound with the Microsoft account, then try to separate them.

Skype crashes because you have Hauppauge and ASUS virtual video capture devices installed.

    Video Capture sources:

    Capture video Hauppauge Siena 0 x 00200000, 2, 1, ksproxy.ax, 10.00.10240.16384

    ASUS GSB 0 x 0, 1, and 00200000 ksproxy.ax, 10.00.10240.16384

    Try to uninstall these devices.

I tried to update Flash, I've updated Internet Explorer, I tried to uninstall and reinstall Skype and I have no idea what to do now.

You have a very old version of Flash Player installed and this version is not compatible with Skype.

Uninstall the currently installed version and install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer (version 15.0.0.239)

  • 4.3 Skype crashes with the old chat history

After the upgrade to version 4.3, Skype crashes after the connection probably loading the message history.

I tried to remove the. / record of Skype and it works like that. However, when I put the old user folder (just the , not all '. ') Skype file"), it crashes. I also tried to remove the file and then merge the history using http://suurjaak.github.io/Skyperious/ and it hangs again.

Any solution that would keep my history?

Maybe I have found a solution after some web research, I Skype with * wholesale * historical log... Before these orders, I can't run Skype because it segfaults with the same track of gdb in your newspapers.

I changed my main.db database, with:

    SQLite3 $ ~ /. Skype/[YOURUSER}/main.DB

And then, I've updated the table of Messages as another post , but I have to translate the part of the message 'sent' in my language, so I have Skype in Italian with a simple:

    SQLite > body_xml SELECTION of Messages WHERE type = 68 AND body_xml LIKE '% file %' LIMIT 0,10;

I found the translation for "Shift": "ha inviato ' and ' ha spedito" (which are two translation valid for posted... I don't know why there are two different versions...).

    Then in a:

    SQLite > UPDATE Messages SET body_xml = substr (body_xml, instr(body_xml,e)
    SQLite > UPDATE Messages SET body_xml = substr (body_xml, instr(body_xml,e)

    followed by

    SQLite > .quit

Now I have my 4.3 Skype works fine with my entire chat log.

    k.
