  You can try to use your boot USB storage device and check if that helps. A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  (1) perform the clean boot
  i. Click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
  II. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
  III. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
  IV. click the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box and then click Disable all.
  v. click OK.
  VI. When you are prompted, click on restart.
  VII. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

  (2) enable half the services
  (3) determine whether the problem returns
  (4) enable half of the startup items
  (5) determine if the problem returns
  (6) repeat the steps above until you find out which program or service is causing the issue
   
  After you determine the startup item or the service that is causing the problem, contact the manufacturer of the program to determine if the problem can be solved. Or, run the System Configuration utility, and then click to clear the check box of the element of the problem.

  I upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 view a month ago and since then I had problems.   The first suggestion that Aziz has is not the map upgrade but for the driver update.  After the upgrade to Windows 7, you must update all the drivers for your hardware (graphics, sound, NETWORK, card etc...).  The best way to do it is to go on the hardware manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers.  If you have a name brand PC (Dell, HP, etc.) then they usually all drivers for the hardware, but some (usually the drivers graphics) is perhaps not the most recent.  First, make sure that your drivers are up to date and then test the games. I have a user that is running a windows 7 pro 32 bit machine that when she tries to create a new folder of the machine freezes and keeps creating new folders until you stop the task in Task Manager. I tried to do it from a few machines and seem to have problems only on some of them. I noticed that some of our XP machines have the same problems. • IE 8 that I use with Windows XP constantly freezes and says that it is (no response).

  I have a little Acer One connected to my bigger screen.  I use the free version of AVG, I've read can cause problems and I have also read that I needed to update my version of Java and this could lead to freezing and no response in IE8.  Come to find out that I didn't even have Java so you download the version for my computer but nothing changed.  I need an answer to help my computer.  He arrived at the point where I can't even get anything without IE8 freezing and when I try to wait just outside, it will specify that it does not.
