SL300, brand Compatible DDR2-800 Ram
Hi, after reading the forums and the internet I think the SL300 are compatible with DDR2-800 ram.
Would users with ram DDR2-800 in their SL300 be kind enough to post the serial number and model?
I would like to upgrade mine to DDR2-800 because it's cheaper now than the DDR2-667, and I can't wait to squeeze the last ounce of performance out of it.
The brands I can get:
Transcend (value)
Corsair (value and gameing)
Kingston (value and hyper-x)
I will be upgradeing the CPU and HARD drive within months comeing.
Thank you!!!
Current system specs:
Lenovo SL300, T5670 1.8 Ghz, 2 GB DDR2-667, 160 GB 5400 RPM HDD

I have 143-Tecra A8 with memory 1 GB (2 x 512 DDR2 bus 553) and I want to move to 4 GB (2x2gb DDR2) but only 800 buses available on the market!
Bus DDR2 800 will work with card mother A8 or it will creat problems?

Hello!
Of course, you can use RAM DDR2-800. This is really no problem because the RAM is compatible downgrade. This means that the RAM can run with 800 MHz but at lower speeds too.
AFAIK the Tecra A8 has a 667 MHz bus speed so the new RAM will work with 667 MHz.But don t forget to buy high quality RAM. I always buy Kingston RAM for my Toshiba laptop and they work perfectly. I never had problems with the Kingston RAM.

Anyone using DDR2 - 800 MHz PC2 - 6400 RAM on a Dimension E520?
I have a 8-y-o Dimension E520 with a CPU Q6600 and 4 GB of RAM PC2-5300 DDR2 - 667 MHz.
Max RAM is 8 GB so I did research what type of RAM would maximize the expected gain in speed.
According to this articleand this one as this thread of Dell, the E520 can accept RAM PC2-6400 DDR2 - 800 MHz.
In addition, in accordance with this sheet of Intel chipset 965 on the motherboard will have DDR2-800 MHz RAM.
I have noticed however that a sweep Crucial suggested DDR2-667 PC2-5300, like upgrading RAM later.
By no means discouraged, I advanced and bought 4 sticks of 2 GB of RAM DDR2-800 PC2-6400 Non ECC Unbuffered of 240 pins.
Then, installed the new RAM and started in the BIOS. Of course, the 8 GB of RAM is recognized.
Then started to Ubuntu. However, the initialization has failed before he arrived at the office.
Then started to Windows 7 (on the same machine, multiboot). Yet once again, began to start Desktop but bluescreened before that he (0 x 00000019 which seems to refer to the memory problem)
Reinstall all the RAM sticks and tried again with the same result.
Replaced the 4 GB of RAM has low gear and everything was fine.
So, is the RAM purchased dubious quality or not my E520 simply not accept RAM DDR2 - 800 MHz?
In the interest of anyone else might have the same problem or similar, I put the 4 sticks of RAM to the reseller and received four sticks of replacements of the same specification.
And they work perfectly in my Dimension E520.
Thus, in response to my original question, the absence of start-up stems from a faulty RAM.

Satellite Pro U300-143 Ram DDR2 800 taken care of?
Hello, I am new to the forum.
Anyone know if it is possible to use DDR2 800 to replace the old 667?
The bus of the motherboard also goes to 800.
Thank you.Hello
It makes no sense to use modules more rapid if the chipset would not support the front end of 800 MHz bus speed the FSB could slow down the speed of the memory at the same speed that is supported by front side bus.
I recommend you chipset. Then you will know, what the FSB speed is supported.
If the FSB would be favourable to 800 Mhz, you can use these modules. -
Satellite M70 - la motherboard will support 800 RAM frequency?
OK, here's my problem. I want to upgrade my laptop computer, the memory of s.

Hello... Quote "backward compatible with 533 MHz and 667 MHz speeds - does that mean..?
System itself works in 667 MHz... even when you buy and install a 800 MHz Memory Stick... it works with 667 MHz... machine will become not faster, but won't work that means backward compatible...800 = 6400 see table...

Can I combine DDR2 667 MHZ DDR2 800 or lower on the Satellite A200 - 1 MB?
Hello guys
I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 - 1 MB and my uncle also has a hp Pavilion dv6183ea
and we are facing the same problem, the computer is delivered with 2 x 512 DDR2 667
We have to increase the Ram but the Ram DDR2 667 is no longer available in our market.
The DDR2 800 is available
can I safely use the DDR2-800 on my A200 - 1 MB or use the combination of DDR2 667 with a new DDR2 800 with no problems on my computer or on the computer of the uncle?
I have windows vista and uncle is windows xpThank you
Hello
Usually, you can use modules of RAM and faster RAM module (in your case, DDR2 800 Mhz) would be clocked at 667 Mhz.
But in many cases, there are problems of compatibility in many cases, the laptop will not start using different Rams.So I think that it of better to use exactly the same RAM modules to avoid these problems, but who knows, maybe you could mix without any problem, you will have to try this out!

Satego X 200-is that I can use memory live DDR2 800 MHz?
Hello people,
Anyone know if my X 200 - 21U Satego really suports memory DDR2 800? In the site of the shop I bought my laptop, there is a possibility to install 4096 MB DDR2 (2 x 2 048) 800 MHz. Is this possible or just a scam or a mistake of the shop? What happens if it doesn\t support and I install anyway?
http://www.notebook.de/popup_printproduct.php?id=10037&LN=de
After the price, there is a list of "options" it's option 5.
Well, I think it should work!
The week last Ibought approximately 4 GB of memory for my X 200 - 21U of OCZ:

Satellite A100-635: is it possible to use the DDR2-667 RAM
I have a portable satellite a100-635 with 1024 MB of RAM DDR2-533. Is it possible to use the DDR2-667 RAM modules instead of 533 in this model? Thank you.
P.S. I doubt because all portable satellite I've seen so far have been equipped with 533 modules by default. Still the chipset supports officially the DDR2-667 (Intel 945GM) modules.

Hello
I'm not 100% sure, but as the site says that it won't work, I think you can trust them, and it does not work.
But if you want to try it, please post the result here.Good bye

Re: Can Satellite A100-499 - I use Kingston HyperX DDR2-667 RAM?
Hello.
I have a Toshiba Satellite A100-499 with chipset Intel 945 PM and with 1 GB of RAM at 533 Mhz (this is the memory that came by default when it was purchased). I want to upgrade the memory to 4 GB 667 MHz and I saw two Kingston hyperx 2 GB DDR2 - 667 PC2 - 5300 CL4 (KHX5300S2LLK2 / 4G).
I ' w concerned about the compatibility of this memory with my laptop. Memory that is shown in my laptop (KT667D2 / 2G) in the site web of Toshiba is also kingston and technical specifications are similar, but time lag case which I've not been able to verify. I'm looking for the forum and it seems that Toshiba laptops are very delicate with the memory.
Did someone knows or has had experience with this combination? I don't want to spend the money to have to sell it later.
Hello
Theoretically, you can also use the Kingston HyperX modules. They are very similar to the normal Kingston modules, but they are a little faster. Certain times are may be lower, but this should t be a problem because it will be set automatically from the BIOS.
A good friend of me always is the HyperX modules for its notebooks and there has never been a problem.
In the worst cases the modules don't work, that you can bring it back to the computer store and ask Kingston normal modules. -
What brand to R31 laptop RAM upgrade to?
I am trying to upgrade the RAM of an old IBM R31 Thinkpad with a stick of 512 MB.
Of memory should what brand I buy? Should I got to one of these sites, like memoryx.com, where I buy the RAM under the dropdown under R31?
Where can I buy a RAM pc133 144 pins?
I've heard that some older laptops can be weird with some memory.
Thank you!
No, being a tight WAD I just chose the package of pc133 144 pins cheaper they had in stock :-)
My only regret is that I did not purchase, two of them, when I had the chance.

How will I know if my office is compatible with ECC RAM?
Thank you.
The numbers on my motherboard

What model HP PC do you use?
-
See above
You did not forget how much RAM to that you upgraded, or the type of RAM you have installed, but my best guess is that you have upgraded your XPS system for somewhere between 4 and 8Gbs of DDR2-800 ram modules.
32 - bit XP operating system will see 4 GB of RAM and is only able to treat somewhere around 3.2 GB due to overhead and other material considerations. Need an operating system to 64-bit like Windows 7 Medelin address anything larger than 4 GB.
Take a look at this article for a more complete explanation.

m8120n Media Center PC RAM upgrade questions - help please!
I have an HP m8120n 2 year old PC. It has 3 GB RAM PC5300 inside stock. I want to upgrade the ram, with 6 or 8 GB. Here are the 2 questions I have:
(1) this motherboard is supposed to handle 8 GB (4x2Go). It will get by the BIOS?
(2) this motherboard is supposed to be able to handle up to PC64000 (DDR2 800) RAM. I can use it or do I have to stick to the PC5300 accompanying?
I understand that if I go to 6 GB, I leave 2 GB of RAM stock in it and you need to use the PC5300. I would prefer 8 GB and the PC6400. And Yes, I run Vista 64.
Thanks in advance!
Scott
OK, I got it now.
