• How can I prevent Captivate to advance to the next slide, after the end of the audio and I click on click to show/hide sidebar box?

  I currently have a slide that plays audio.  While usage is listening to the narration that I can click on three different click the boxes with advanced actions to open and close text boxes, I want the user to read the value.  When reading narrative ends and I'll click on the boxes to click to read a text box, it moves to the next slide.  I understand that I may have to replace the box with smart buttons click but I don't know how to stop the progression to the next slide.  I already have a next button that is put on pause until the user clicks.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'm on a tight schedule.

  Quickly, I created a sample file, just have a slide with three form buttons that act as the toggles and a next button. The first three buttons break late exactly at the same time and the next button.

  When the blade reaches the end of the video, the video will stop, but the audio loops. I don't have the "Loop Audio" active choice. And with only one change the presence of the skin, it works.   Figured it out! All I had to do was select the video and on the timing tab in the property inspector, change the display for: for the duration of the video. They will then advance to the next slide.

  I work with Captivate 6 in Windows. I imported a Powerpoint slide deck, with the setting automatically advance the slides. It works quite well. The problem is that when a user clicks on a slide before it is complete, it will advance to the next slide. How can I disable this. There is no clickboxes on the slides showing in the timeline panel. And entry and exit Actions on blades are set to 'no Action '.

  I came up with a workaround for the problem that I had. What I've done in captivate I placed a clickbox on top of each slide, the size of the entire slide and set the action of the click to success No Action box. Now users can not go to the next slide until all of the current slide has played through.

  I have a folder of photos that I opened to see several thumbnails. I can left click on a picture and it will open full screen. Then I left click on this image and the next should show but nothing happens. I can use the keyboard arrows to move to the next photo, but I can't use the mouse. The left click works for everything I use it for. I've used regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll and he said DllRegisterServer and DllInstall in shimgvw.dll succeeded. This does not solve the problem.   Everything worked fine until I upgraded to the latest IOS 9.2. Everything works fine on the computer, but on the phone that you only get to play a song.  If you keep hitting the shuffle icon it changes songs but it's a pain.

  Come on Apple just your updates are not good enough.  How about testing before releasing upgrades.

  I'm looking using Captivate quiz in some provided training based on html. I have this type of structure:

  Page c. html which displays a Captivate quiz question

  Html d. with a conceptual content page

  When the user finishes the test successfully at point C, I want to automatically advance to the next page of the html (D).  I'm assuming I could use a tip action in the Quiz properties. In other words, 'the success = Execute advanced Actions', then to run our javascript gotoNextPage() function.  But it does not work. Is there a trick to do something like that?

  If you test this output on your computer, try to upload to a web server and test from there.

  I find a lot of actions executed in Captivate JavaScript works only when the content is served from a Web server.

  Can I have answered my own question, BUT I would like to know if experts here have a better way to do this...

  Solution: Add a new text button to slide 1. Empty the text on this button. Select the option to make the button "transparent". Then copy the button to the Clipboard. Select all of the slides in the project. Hit the dough.

  All the slides have now a 'hidden' object that stops them. They can click on the next button in the playback controls to move forward at the end of each slide.

• Captivate 7 - Quiz questions take a long time to advance to the next

  So I have completed my course. All along (each slides or so) I quiz questions that are classified but undeclared. They are simply there to prepare the student for the final exam. They have the opportunity to submit the response followed legends correct and incorrect.   I know, it is barely visible, because the line between the inactive and the Active part is black on a blue background (already invited for 6 or 5.5 to change that color...)   I think that you can accomplish by removing the legends of Question drag your real comments and adding your own text captions Standard that will be used for feedback. Report them as invisible until you are ready to reveal. Then build a tip Action that will be executed when the desired response is provided. The fast Action will serve to reveal the legends.

  You have 2 possible actions: a by clicking on the button (success), a when you click outside the button (the rest of the slide) which is a failure. And you can attach an action at a time. The default action for both is 'Continue', which means that the head of reading which has been suspended by the button, will continue. You don't want that to happen if the user clicks on the button, but outside the key (like by clicking in the field ETB). This is the reason why recommended Manish allows you to change the action for failure to 'No action', which means that nothing will happen if the user clicks outside the button. He can then click in the text field and type its entry.
