If only I have the IP or the domain name for the download address and ping it to I can know whether it is the latency time. If this is true, it is the fault of the ISP. I want to ping this address and solve this problem at the ISP.

Restart your internet modem and restart the router again and your Mac then try the App store.

  • app store is extremely slow

    Hello guys.

I use a College LAN, that gives me speeds of about 8 to 15 Mbps. However, the app store seems extremely slow when downloading. For example, I was freely upgraded to windows 8.1 and it appears that a 3.62 GB file should be downloaded. However more that had spent an hour and always download might not exceed more than 2%. Y at - it a remedy to fix the problem?

    Hi Abhishek,

It's problem can occur if there is decline in the speed of the internet, or if the Windows store settings are corrupt.

    1. have you checked the Internet speed when this problem occurred? (It's just to make sure that your Internet connection works fine at this instance)

    2. What is the make and model of computer?

Cancel download of current Windows 8.1, to do this, refer to the steps below:

    a. press on Win key + R key to bring up the run button, and then type the following command.

    MS-windows-store: installprogress

    b. click on Cancel.

Perform the following steps and check if you can switch to Windows 8.1:

Step 1: Disconnect all unnecessary external devices connected to the computer (except the mouse and keyboard).

Step 2: Install all available updates.

Step 3: If you use a third-party antivirus software, you can uninstall it and check if you can switch to Windows 8.1.

Note: Even if you disable the third-party antivirus, Windows Defender will still work in the computer. This will protect your computer against malicious software and viruses.

Step 3: I suggest you to reset Windows store the cache and check if it helps.

You can follow the steps to do this:

    (a) on the screen, press the key Windows and R to open the Run dialog box.
    (b) type WSReset.exe and press ENTER.

Step 4: Run the Windows Update troubleshooting tool and check.

  • App Store problems not search results or slow download

Since the update to 9.3.3 iOS App Store (East coast of United States for me) gave me a lot of problems and errors with the search for updates and installation of applications. App detail pages also not load. What a coincidence, the update iOS or something else? -I can't even this post to the correct community (grayed out).

Try a simple Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10 to 20 seconds).

  • How downgrade to El Capitan without having in the Mac App Store

Hello! I'm completely new to Mac and for this forum. Coming from Windows, I found the keyboard a bit confusing. So I installed carabiner, which most of the time worked like a charm.

Then there was a notification update to Mac OS Sierra. So I did. And now the carabiner is broken. In addition, the trackpad scroll is annoyingly slow, and I realized that I just liked El Capitan more generally.

But since I got the Mac with El Capitan, I don't have in my list of purchased on the App Store. So where can I find an official download to create installation media, and then reinstall El Capitan (which, as far as I KNOW, is the only way to "downgrade" a Mac if I have no backup of before)? I have no personal files on Mac yet, so I don't mind erase the drive.

Suggestions would be highly appreciated, even with solutions) 1 carabiner to work again and 2) to change the sensitivity of scrolling to the trackpad.

Thank you for helping a newbie to Mac!

  • Unable to download from the app store 10.6.8

My main workstation (iMac) has worked so slow, that I decided to dust off my old Mac pro. I had forgotten how fast he is, or maybe I just took the habit to work on my iMac incredibly slow! Anyway, the only problem with my Mac pro is that I am on OS 10.6.8 - make my impossible navigation / insecurity. But when I visit the app store to upgrade my system I can't download anything at all. I click on the 'get' button and nothing.
Of course I restarted several times, I activate the debug mode on the app store, I emptied the cache and reset the app store through the menu debug, disconnected and once again, rebooted again... still nothing. I even created a new apple ID to try as I was running out of ideas.searched these forums (and others) and I can only find stuff related to an Apple discussed with their servers, all these threads are now quite old so I guess that these issues have been fixed?

Recently, someone at - he had this problem and solved it?

If your MacPro is a 2006 model or 2007, you can't update to El Capitan.

You can always buy codes redemtion for download Lion and Mountain Lion from the Apple Store online, not from the App Store, but these no longer receive security updates.

If your MacPro is a model of the 2008,2009 and 2010, you should be able to upgrade to El Capitan via the App Store.

On 20 September, Apple will release Mac OS Sierra, El Capitan will become more than likely unavailable.

and only the 2010 model and later will be able to upgrade to the new operating system.

The problem is most likely an attempt to update a system malfunction prior it is probably a problem with your computer, not the El Capitan.

    Start by:

Reset the PRAM and NVRAM on your Mac.

MacIntel: Reset of the controller (SMC) system management

Start in Safe Mode , and then re - start normally. It's slower that a normal start, so be patient.

    If you are unable to start;

Reinstall El Capitan without erasing the drive

Please make sure that you back up.

    1. Restart the computer. Immediately after that the chime hold down the command and R until the Utility Menu appears.
    2. Select disk utility, then click on the continue button.
    3. Select the withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) entry of the volume in the list aside.
    4. Click first aid icon in the toolbar. Wait until the button is active, then click it.
    5. Quit disk utility and re-enter the Utility Menu.
    6. Select Reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.

Also, see this tip for user: basic steps for the OS X upgrade.

    If this doesn't get you;

Install Yosemite or El Capitan, from scratch

    Backup if possible before proceeding.

Restart the computer. Immediately after the chime hold down the command and R buttons until the Apple logo appears. When the Utility Menu appears:

Select utility disc in the Menu Utility, then click the continue button.

When loading disk utility, select the volume (entered into withdrawal, usually Macintosh HD) from the list of devices.

Click Delete in the main window of disk utility. A panel will fall.

Define the type of Format Mac OS extended (journaled).

Click on the apply button, then wait for the done button to activate and click on it.

Quit disk utility and re-enter the Utility Menu.

Select reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.

  • Cannot load sites http but https are ok - as impossible to connect to the App store

Hi people, for the first time I have a serious problem with my Mac and 10.8.5 and I hope to find some help here.

    The problem:

All of a sudden (no idea of what happened, why it happened) I can not open Web sites beginning with http, for example http://www.advrider.com

The error message is: unable to connect

However websites like Facebook, this forum etc i.e. all sites beginning with https://... properly.

This is valid for Firefox and Safari.

Thunderbird works fine but the I can't connect to the App store.

The problem is that I don't know yet where to look to find the problem.

I did some fishing (without a solution)

-verification of DNS settings (use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)

    -Clear cache

    -Re-install point AP

-switch to another Wifi network (currently in a hotel and there are supposed to be two totally independent networks)

    -turned off the firewall

    n ' use a proxy

My wife with El Capitan Mac works fine on the same network, but because I don't know what to look for, it makes it almost impossible to compare the settings one by one.

    No idea what to do?

Post edited by: Kuhjunge - another mac works fine on the same network.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It is unlikely to solve your problem. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

The test is intended to determine if the problem is caused by a third-party software that loads automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.

Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

The login screen is displayed even if you usually connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

Test in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of the test.
