• How much data transfer during the thin VMFS copy to NFS, which does not support thin?

  1. I copy using - VMFS volume thin for a 2003 hosted server NFS volume.  However, there is no indication that the destination in charge it is thin, and the size of the file becomes the size declared.  When I copy the NFS share that does not support thin volume VMFS does, the file becomes thin.

  I need to add data obtained during the tests to the report header (ATML TR5/6_Horizontal.xsl). I tried to implement all update features I've seen here, nothing done. I can get some added things if I do during the PreUUT, but I do not have these data. Does not work try the same commands (use the Parameters.UUT.AdditionalData container). I have not been able to get either the recall of ModifyReportHeader to do. Help and I saw others examples of support seem to be about half of what I need to this implementation. Any help is appreciated.

• Slow data transfer between computer and HP Laser Jet 1320n

  I recently bought a laptop with windows 8.1 and successfully connected to 1320n times via LAN and wireless networks. Problem is when I try to print .pdf files, data transfer from my computer to the printer seems very slow and that's why it takes several minutes to print 10 pages. On the print window of my system, it tells me the data to transfer a file from pdf page 14 are about 75 MB.

  My questions are:

  1-is-normal this size of data?

  2. What can I do to increase the transfer speed?

  I hae has solved the problem by installing the drivers that are on the product page (I was using the Windows drivers when I had the problem). Everything works as it should now.

• Sudden slow data transfer

  I am happily using my 3 GB Time Capsule for the last 18 months with no problems. I use it almost exclusively as data storage for my Plex server. I use it wirelessly to my Macbook Pro 2014, in the same room.

  Yesterday, without change to explain it, it has become very slow to transfer files to it.

  

  I am at a loss, as most of the solutions I looked for people who have had problems of speed from the beginning, mine was a sudden appearance.

  Speeds do not seem to affect my streaming quality that I can still watch a 1080 p 5 gb + video file without stuttering or offset. The problem is isolated to the data transfer it seems.

  Any suggestions where to start?

  Wireless is seriously affected by a number of things. So I guess that the first test is to connect the laptop to the TC by ethernet and make sure that it works very well. If your ethernet Mac buy a crush on ethernet card... a necessity, in my humble OPINION... as trying to fix wireless more wireless resembles sawing off the branch that which you are sitting.

  If you can determine the network of the question... Then we can do the simple things...

  Run the diagnostics wireless...

  Just restart the entire network, which I am assuming that you tried but did not mention.

  Simultaneous copy of a file on the hard drive while also streaming can also be stressing the TC... If the tests should be carried out without any other use of disk passes.

  I have two tables of data that I need to send to the sound card so I can listen to. Data on the processor of Rio. I realize I can write a file wav or something else, but I need the data streaming in. I can do this easily on the single PC of course, read and write to the card sound (or ADC/DAC etc.), but on the processor of rio, there is no card sound for obvious reasons and so I need to transfer data from a level to the PC. What is the best way to do it?

  There are several available network protocols to transfer data from your target in real time to the pc. This article covers the pros and cons of those commonly used with LabVIEW Real-time.

  For dissemination of data tables between LabVIEW screws (one on the RIO, one on the host computer), I recommend the network stream if you use LabVIEW 2010 or later.

  If you use RSZVB-14, it has frequency range 10 MHz - 14 GHz. example was written for models that start by 300 kHz.

• Envy 14: HP Envy running very hot (slows down periodically during the video)

  I would like to get information on how to properly clean my HP Envy 14 laptop fans, number of product B4B14UA #ABA. I tried to use boxes of air through the ventilation openings, but I'm able to accomplish turns too fast the fans. I'm unable to remove dust. It is a laptop I've owned for about 2 years.

  I suspect that the fans/vents are blocked because the winds blow warm air and the base of the laptop is almost too painful to sit on my legs. The upper part of the keyboard runs hot along the strip of aluminum above the function keys.

  Although the use of the battery for several hours, now it takes an hour, running minimum settings due to the heat. In addition, while playing video, the computer will freeze and cause the video to stutter occasionally. I tried a computer laptop cooling pad, but it doesn't seem to be the problem.

  So, in summary, I would like to know whether or not to clean my laptop fans would void its warranty (if it still exists) and whether or not fans of cleaning would be possible for a layman.

• Slow data transfer between PC and Agilent N3300A

  I use a N3300A of Agilent connected via Serial-> USB to a PC running LabVIEW 2012.

  In my tests, I found that the time required to recover data from is very long. The example below, supplied with the drivers, I measured each of the subVIs 3 who read the instant action takes about 11.7 seconds to complete.

  

  Therefore, this example VI does not work out of the box, I need to increase the maximum time constant and to also connect the two subVIs away. In otherwise, a time-out occurs, the device no longer and needs a reboot to be controlled by the PC (have not found another more elegant way to get the control).

  Is it possible to speed up the process of data recovery? And as a bonus question, how to control remotely again the instrument after a timeout place?

  What is the data format?  Instruments can usually transfer using ASCII or binary.  Binary would be more effective.

  GPIB would fill a lot faster (can reach 1 Mbps).  At 9600 baud, you run 1200 b/s, excluding the start and the stop bits.

  Assuming that the binary format to 4 bytes/data point, your serial communication should take about 3.3 seconds.  Assuming ASCII with 12 bytes/data point (pure guessing here), which is 10 seconds.  11 seconds for a transfer is therefore not out of the question.

• Slow data transfer for USB flash drives

  When I transfer a file to a USB flash drive, the transfer is very slow. I checked my USB host controllers and they work very well. There seems not to be of hardware problems. Here is the Dell gx270s, the two XP Professional SP3 running computers. I didn't find any solution on the support site for anyone. Controllers are Intel. I used the Driver Max and it does no problem - but I wonder about the accuracy of this program.

  Anyone who has ever had this problem and figured it out?

  Check if the transfer rate is the same on another computer. Also, try using a player different flsah on this computer and compare the transfer rate. I would ask you to update the drivers for the chipset on the Dell site.

• Satellite P10-125: speed using very slow data transfer USB ports

  Every time I connect a USB device to the laptop it says "this USB device can perform faster if you connect it to a HI-speed USB 2.0 port" while I know all four USB ports on the laptop are hi speed USB 2.0 ports. BTW, I'm using Vista premium.

  In any case Satellite P10 only is not supported by Vista, and you will not be able to find any driver and especially the chipset driver for this laptop. What to say. stupid situation. Drive external DRIVE is connected to two or a single USB cable?

• How to draw attention to no data received for the Agents of Syslog or devices

  I don't know if this is possible or not?  I have many configured either by using the Windows Agent or direct syslog devices with many firewalls between Insight Log servers and forwarders. I'll try to find a convenient way to alert when no Syslog data is received from a device (24 hours) and an alert is sent to vROPS, any ideas?
