Slow scanner

Since the loading of Windows 7, my old HP Laserjet 3030 now takes up to 1.5 minutes to scan one side of a 11.5 x 8 document. This is opposed to the less than 10 seconds, he took when using XP. Anyone have any ideas on how to speed up?

38 Firefox slow to respond or crashes without other options?

After the latest Firefox 38.0.1, it became unusable. I tried several different suggestions found on the forum and through Google searches, but noting seems to cure my problem.

I use MSN as my home page and at first thought it was the root cause, but using IE I don't have the issue of the suspension. I tried the resettlement, refreshing, new profile creation, to update all the drivers of video material and others etc. but can't seem to find the key...

The only thing that seems to relieve symptoms is to use the "noscript" and "adblock more ' Add-ons.

First of all, I would recommend checking your hard disk space - you should have at least 15% free space, preferably more for optimal performance. If you have a lot of files big media (movies, photos, music) stored on your hard drive, moving those disc external hard can help speed things up. Also empty your trash for free space. Here are some other tips:

- Update the BIOS
- Defragment the hard drive (do NOT defragment if your computer has a solid state [SSD] drive, as this may damage it)
- A virus scanner and remove virus/spyware
- Close all apps you are not actively using and try to not leave many things open at the same time
- Use the Task Manager to identify which uses the most system resources
- Clean the computer fans and vents to reduce the heat
- Upgrade memory

Applications of gel even with just the browser in use. 8 GB of RAM seem to be enough... Even CleanMyMac3 does not solve the problem...

Copies way too slow

I wanted a 4500 and the scanner is released. I bought a 4520 desire and this machine copy extremely SLOW. 6 minutes to copy a black and white line drawing. Why? Probably HP do things wrong.

Have you tried to reduce the resolution of the copies in the copy settings. More you have the planned resolution will have the original and print the copy. For black and white usually 150 or 300 dpi is fine.

HP 8600 slow printing of diagrams and color photos

I have a desktop HP 8600 printer pro jet and it's very very slow at the color print and diagrams (colored or not). I aligned the printer and clean the print head but it is still slow and I mean slow 2 5 minutes from printing a page.

I also used the HP scanner/doctor and everything is fine with the printer is brand new.

Welcome to the Forums

I saw your slow printing problem you are having with your Officejet Pro 8600. I noticed that you have ran a print head cleaning, alignment and print and Scan Dr. indicates no error. There could be several reasons why slow printing occurs, the power of the printer for the program you are printing from (if the problem happens only in a single program) or even the pilot.

I'll give you some suggestions to try and I hope that we can get rid of this problem!

First, reset the printer and when you plug it back, just please make sure it is plugged directly into the wall socket. Avoid bars, surge protectors, nothing more.

This may sound weird, but sometimes it really helps and solves the problem.

Then, update the printers firmware: get the latest Firmware and product updates

Satellite A300 - very slow meeting of the Windows operating system

I have a Toshiba a300.
I am facing a lot of problems with it.
First of all, very slow sound at startup... I ' v read read this post

-remove all unnecessary software system
-remove the preinstalled application antivir and installing Avira Antivir software (without a doubt the best for me because he didn't need as many resources)
-deactivation of departure for everything that I have addresses Don ¢ ' t need (MSCONFIG)
-Disabling all components material I don't need in the Manager device (modem, multicard reader, PCMCIA slot, firewire)

I use kaspersky anti virus. Should I switch to avira? I am also faced with another problem. My led on/off function does not work instead, it acts as a mute button. It used to be well earlier... I tried support button (dimmer.exe), Setup of HW, but both failed... then I uninstalled reinstalled n some added value pack from an Australian site, but who has not too... pls help... I'm p * OFF... all the suggestions/help will be really appreciated.

Only you can decide what software is not important to you
Toshiba has preinstalled many different programs. Most of these applications control certain features of the laptop as keys FN, controls, etc., but of course, this software needs of material resources and slow down the start-up procedure.

In MSCONFIG, you can disable some processes and could test how the laptop would be without these applications.

In addition, I recommend to update or remove the Tempro tool, which has been pre-installed by Toshiba!

The Avira scanner is great. I m using both and it s free.
This eater of low material s and, therefore, the laptop should start more quickly instead of using Avira Kaspersky.

Slow USB on Satellite A50 after format

I hope someone here can help me...
After that a few years of the 'waste' on my Satellite A50 collection, today I wanted to format the hard drive and start with a clean installation of Windows XP.
Before that, I had both a wireless network and an external hard drive connected via USB, and the two works great.
Now, after that cleaning installed, Windows always tells me that I have material fast USB connected to a slower USB port and under 'Hardware', there is a USB controller that is not properly installed. However I can't find the drivers for this anywhere!
I know that it must be possible to update the USB 2.0, because until yesterday everything worked very well.

Can someone help me please?

Did you install all MS updates?
My brother had the same problem. He connected a scanner to the computer, and the message appeared because of USB 2.0.

Satellite A300-1MC is slow using Win XP

I recently spent 400 odd quid on this laptop.
Hated Vista and installed XP Pro.

However, I find when I get my screen 'connect' on XP, my office rises and it takes 10 years before you can start applications like Firefox, etc (hourglass, etc.). In fact its probably the same speed as my old Satellite 1900 d (which is 8 years old). But once it loads its fast 'enough' fast but not lightning.

I've defragged after countless updates of windows and it seems to be faster. But still very disappointed. Any thoughts?
Virus scanner is Mcafee Total internet

I also played with 'start-up' thru MSCONFIG and got rid of things I don't need, but always without success.

The A300 is really that slow? I don't have any normal office and questionable applications 2003 as mentioned above McAfee

Did you change the SATA mode on compatible? Yes?

Well, then this is the reason why the laptop is ruining more slowly than expected!

If you want to get full implementation of HARD drive, then the SATA mode must be set to AHCI and you must install Win XP using SATA drivers!

How can I fix mini slow mac after memory upgrade from 4 GB to 16 GB

I have a Mac Mini (ver 6.2 end 2012, i7 to 2.3 GHz, OS X 10.10.5) that I just put new memory to upgrade to 4 GB 15 GB (Crucial 16 GB = 8GBx2 kit corresponding blades plug their scanner software and HW Apple specs). I use HDMI to my Vizio 32 inch HDTV and now my Mac runs slower for typing, clicks, etc, but the software seems to work fime. I have checjed the "about this Mac" and it shows the memory is available and authorized to use. I also run app "Cleaner" memory and it shows the total memory available and currently in use.

Then what should I do to solve the slow?

I run a mini end 2012 with 16 GB. It's fast... I also have SSD which also provides the spectacular for startup performance improvement and any disk activity.

Scanner seems to prevent initialization

I got a used HP Officejet Pro L7780 all-in-one. I got it home, plugged into the wall outlet, seen pictures of faxes/scans/documents printed as well as the time, date, ink levels. I got the Panel to display in English, then went to configuring wireless, selected my network ID, typed in the neck of my network.
The display panel shows the network configuration menu. The page just before the selection of network ID. I let it sit for about half an hour, just in case it was just being slow, without change.
I unplugged, plugged in, now, the screen displays the image of the prints/scans/Fax with the clock in the upper-left, the date right, no more icons in its lower part; left or right.
The time is accurate returns at the time of power, but it freezes within 2 minutes time to plugin of reading hours later.
The buttons are not admissible, I held down to the Red Cross and the power button, no response at all.
The only way to do anything is to unplug the device.
When I open the scanner part where will documents to scan, the light is on and sometimes not in the storage position. When I close the lid of the scanner section, the light moves to the parking position but remains lit.
Any help is appreciated, but I'm not panicking because I have a backup scanner/printer to continue to use while it is in limbo.

Edit: a little more information. When I turn it on, I can use the buttons and it sometimes changes of menus on the screen. It is, however, lag. I'll see what buttons I pushed a few seconds after pressing some. I was able to turn off the power by pressing the power button in this little time before it freezes.
I downloaded the drivers from the full suite of HP and installed on my main PC.

Solved.
I do not know which of them has worked, but here's what I did.
1. I'm fed up with it.
2. I gave punch Fonzi.
3. I open the scanner cover.
4. I unplugged from the wall.
5. I have it plugged in backwards while the scanner cover has increased.
6. the screen displays something on 'hit ok after removing the jammed paper', but believe me, I've seen throughout this thing and do not found trace of paper anywhere in it.
7. I pressed 'ok' in a whisper, 'I hope this works."while squinting my eyes.
8. I saw the wireless radio icon and ink level icons appear, as well as the normal print/fax/whatever image as well as the time and date on the screen.
9. I printed a test page for the computer while it was connected to the computer via USB.

Now as soon as I close that window, I'll go through the nightmare of the connection to this network.
