Slow to open Reliability Monitor?

I've seen this topic discussed elsewhere, but without a definitive solution.

The problem I have is that when I open the reliability monitor, it gets stuck on "reliability monitor is the generation of the report.  Please wait... "for more than 3 minutes before making the chart.  In my view, that it normally takes about 10 to 15 seconds to run.

I feel no other problems of performance degradation that I know, and I am sure, that there is no malware on my machine.  I tried to start minimal both in Mode safe mode, but they do not address the issue.

I find the reliability monitor to be a great troubleshooting tool, but I'm not inclined to use it if it takes a long time to open.

I'm on Windows 7 x 64.

I appreciate any help on this!

Hello

I tried to reset it using this tutorial: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/20779-reliability-monitor-reset.html

It seemed to reset the reliability monitor, as when I open there was a message at the top telling me that if I had just installed Windows 7, I might have to wait a day before entries would appear. However, it has been a week and still nothing, the graphic is completely empty.

I also tried following a walkthrough of: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/my-reliability-history-contains-nothing/5b2cfcac-4f23-4fc3-b206-985108ab0161

All this seemed to change the message displayed at the top.

I already checked and Scheduler of tasks claims Ractask runs successfully.

So, I honestly don't know what the problem could be at this point. Somethings, I noticed that I could either be causing this or other computer problems are:

    (1) WinSAT, which is listed under in Task Scheduler maintenance contract, has apparently not performed over the YEARS.

    (2) monitor Performace said the system diagnostic and the recording of the performance is stopped.

and (3) a follow-up to start event session called Rac_PS is disabled (this is related to RacTask?)

Thus, any help / advice would be appreciated. (Please tell me just do a system restore, this problem has occurred for at least a year and my restore points only rise to the head of one month).

    Hi dw_witless,

Thanks for posting on Microsoft Answers!

I suspect that data collection is not enabled. To follow the steps below to enable it:
1 activate the data collection for reliability monitor
Reliability Monitor uses data provided by the RACAgent scheduled task. Reliability Monitor will begin showing an indication of stability, and event information specific 24 hours after installation of the system.
The RACAgent scheduled task runs by default once the operating system is installed. If it is disabled, it must be enabled manually in the software component for Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in Task Scheduler.
Membership in the local Administrators group or equivalent is the minimum required to complete this procedure.
To enable the RACAgent scheduled task
    1. Click Start, click in the search box, type taskschd.msc, and then press ENTER.
    2. in the navigation pane, expand Task Scheduler Library, expand Microsoft, expand Windows, and click RAC.
3 right-click RAC, click view, and click Show hidden tasks.
    4. click on RACAgent in the results pane.
    noteNote
The RACAgent task name is maybe not completely visible. If you don't find it, expand the name column in the results pane.
    5. in the Action menu, click Activate.

If the steps above does not
    2 reset the reliability monitor:

  • Some slow to open programs

    Hello

I had a brief look at various forums and did not find everything that contributes to date, so this is.

My main problem is that some programs (Windows Media Player, Panel, Nexus Mod Manager to name a few) are extremely slow to open. By slow, we're talking up to five minutes. My boot time itself is fast, and the computer runs fast at any other time. My machine is a PC game and very good material, that is specified in the lower part. I use Glary Utilities to regularly clean up the drives, registry clean and defrag etc and I have very few programs to run at startup. None of this solves the problem.

If any other information is needed please ask and I'll give you.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

I use Glary Utilities to clean regularly drives, registry clean.

This could be the cause of your problem. Microsoft does not recommend the use of registry cleaners as they can cause insoluble problems on your computer. Glary Utilities has all the backups of the registry before the "clean"?

Download CCleaner from here. Once installed, open it and head over to the Tools tab, and then select start. In the lower right corner, select Save in the text file and select a name for it. Open the saved document and display its content in your next reply. As-well as. Click the 'clean' tab, keep all the boxes to check it and press run cleaner.

Another possibility, is that you can have malicious software installed on your computer. In addition, I recommend that you download and run the programs below and delete all that they detect.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - http://malwarebytes.org

    AdwCleaner - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner

    Junkware Removal Tool - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/junkware-removal-tool

There are additional instructions for execution of AdwCleaner on the link below.

  • new updates of windows, firefox slow to open

My computer installed two new windows updates... KB3021917 and KB3006137. Since then, Mozilla Firefox is slow to open. It takes at least 5 minutes. However, once the internet is in place, it works fine. It's just the process of the opening of the internet. Help, please.

    Hello

I did some research and found out that it should be good if you ignore these two updates.

KB3021917 - unless you are testing 10 Windows, you don't really have this update.

KB3006137 - this update is pretty useless too, it changes the currency symbol of the Lithuania. https://support.Microsoft.com/kb/3006137?WA=wsignin1.0

  • 7 Firefox is very slow to opening pages as compared Web o firefox6

Compared to firefox6, this version, ff ver # 7.0.1 is very slow to open Web pages. It takes a long time to display the Web page. I tried to disable add ons and did everything I could, but it seems that there is a no solution.

One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

    I just 'upgraded' from 10.7.5 to 10.11.3.

This slowed my MacBook Pro (2010) by doing anything.

I had TO update because I bought an iPhone 6 and she needed a newer version of iTunes.

Now, the MacBook is very slow to open anything - 'pages' 'number' ' safari - and Web sites.  Strangely, once in a website, it's normal, he's going from page to page as fast as before.

    Can anyone help please?

As you have made the leap from an older operating system by, is it old software that requires an update to function properly.

Also, you have enough RAM, the specifications for El Capitan said 2Gbs but 4Gbs is more realistic and of course more IS more.

You have applications that start at the start of Mac, maybe you don't need them running.

Anti Virus and 'cleaning up' apps are not necessary.

You can download this small http://etrecheck.com/ application that checks your system and then paste the report here

then folk can take a look and perhaps draw some conclusions as to why it is slow.

  • Extremely slow to open Web pages.

My PC Dell 2 years contains Microsoft Windows XP Home Service Pack 2, with a processor Intel Pentium 4 3 GHZ processor and 504 MB of RAM; and I installed Norton Internet Security 2010.
In the months it has become increasingly slow to open web pages, and in particular one I opened after the connection. This page now takes about 2 minutes to open, and then another 30 seconds before the download links and I have my slider control.
I delete my files and cookies every day and I clean the disk and defrag every week, but nothing I try will speed up performance.
A couple of days, I ran 2 scans of Registry Cleaner programs, and both indicated that I had literally thousands of flaws, including registry entries. Residual unwanted files; Elements of privacy; Bad Active X; and not optimized Performance characteristics.
I considered buying one of the registry cleaners, but did a little research and found that they could cause even more problems that I currently have.
I am somewhat a novice in the computer game, and I hope a kind person might explain in layman's language what is wrong and how I could fix it (easily).
A big thank you to you all.

    Hi Malkeleah:
My deepest apologies for not responding to your more sooner - my wife and I went away for 10 days just after your reply and when we arrived home I found myself with a virus, but I don't think I caught the computer!
Both myself and this machine of circuits, wires and chips (or other) are now back to normal, and as promised, I'll give you a walk through of what has past. (will probably not be in the right order, but you'll get the gist of it, I'm sure). Son of my co-worker was the computer expert who got everything running.
Basically, what he was doing was: remove all unnecessary programs that were run in the background. uninstall Norton 2010 SS and replace it with McAfee Security Suite (linked to the BT Net Protect Plus); Remove my 504 MB of RAM and replace it with 1.24 GB of RAM; back up everything I had in my computer on a flash drive. delete a lot of unnecessary programs from Windows; close the whole 'thing'; and restart using the 2 CD from Dell. There are other things that I'm sure he did, but I just don't remember.
Thus, in a Word, my friend, this little baby now works as a Cray computer (starting & closing and opening web pages, all now faster than a bullet speeding - well, to me anyway).
Malkeleah, as I said, the sequence, I gave you is probably all out of sync, and I realize that you're not a fan of McAfee, but my young friend knew a lot more than me and Philadelphia lawyer I was talking, and everything that has happened wonderfully since its development.
Thanks a lot for your help. My apologies again for not having affect earlier; and if I ever need your help once again, I know how to get in touch.
    Sláinte!
