Slow WRT310N wireless on Vista laptop

Hello, I have a WRT310N.  More wired connections, I get speeds (23000 kb/s download, 2600 KB/s upload).  Wireless is another story - about a download Vista laptop I get 575 Kbps, 2 600 KB/s in upload.  Under the status of the network I show a good connection and often 270.0Mbps.  What could happen?

Resolved - Windows Update me screwed above.  I deleted the driver for the CARD more "up to date" that had been downloaded automatically by Windows.  Then I installed the driver on the HP site and ran TCP Optimizer.  Everything works well again.

DSL via a wireless router: slow XP, fast on Vista

Hello, I just moved into a new House that has DSL service. My Vista laptop connects seamlessly to the network, but my XP machine trickles in at 50-150 Kbps and is flaky. I rebooted everything, power all pedaled, verified and updated the drivers. (Maybe I missed something?)  The specs are all lower. Any thoughts on what is happening?

    Hi Jer9009,

Welcome to the Microsoft answers site.

    ·         Could you give the exact error code or error number you get?

To connect multiple computers, install a network adapter in each and run a network CAT5 cabling to connect each one to a hub (and thus the other.) The computer that will serve as a transition will have a standard network card for wired and a wireless network adapter that will connect to the wireless (WAP) access point or gateway on the second network.

A network bridge is software or hardware that connects two networks or more so that they can communicate. You can create only a single bridge network on a computer, but a bridge can handle any number of network connections.

  • Why I can't find my network wireless on my XP laptop but can connect to my Vista laptop?

    So here's my situation.

I have a small laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
I also have a laptop with Windows XP Service Pack 3 on it
We just moved into a new House.  In our old House we had DSL with wireless router and two laptops where able to see and connect to the network.
In our new home even company and probably even router if I'm not mistaken my computer Windows Vista laptop sees and connects to the wireless network.
However, the XP laptop sees about 10 networks wirelss in screen 2 wireless network connection, but not ours.
Here's what I've tried so far:
    -Tried to restart the router
    -Tried to restart the laptop
-Tried to update the drivers for the wifi
-Tried manually to create a wifi network of same name and enter the key
I'm really ideas, especially since he could see and connect the network in the old House 2 days ago.   So it comes even to see my wifi network listed may not even try to move on the part of tent to connect and enter the key.

  • I try to connect my Acer Vista laptop for HP Officejet 7310 printer using a wireless connection.

I try to connect my Acer Vista laptop for HP Officejet 7310 printer using a wireless connection.  The printer is connected to a Dell XPS running Windows 7.  Is there a way to do this?

    Hello

Printers use a built-in wireless card and plug it into a power source, not your network or computer. After turning on the printer, you must refer to the documentation that came with the printer to set up a wireless connection for each computer.

I suggest you to download and install drivers from the link below

  • Configure the router Cisco E2000 wireless for my laptop HP with Vista, I can't work.

Configure the router Cisco E2000 wireless for my laptop HP with Vista, I can't work.  I spoke with Cisco and they said that my Atheros AR5007 adapter does not work with Cisco E2000 and contact my computer vendor

    Hello

HM... I guess that the Cisco people know what they're taking everything. The AR5005 is a b/g card and there should be a good reason to not work with a router that is able (the E2000 is able g) g.

This is HP drivers for the card, http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&softwareitem=ob-55737-1

If you can't make it work, you must decide between a new card or another router.

Personally, if it's new and I could return it, I'd get a different router model. But YMMV

  • Wireless is slow on Windows 7 on laptop brand new (Lenovo T510)

I have a new laptop (Lenovo T510) with Windows 7 Professional.

The wireless is slow at home and at work. (I use www.speakeasy.net/speedtest for my speed tests.) At home, the wireless speed is about 1 Mbps. My older laptop (Dell Latitude D630) XP gets 14 Mbps or higher on the same network. If I connect directly to my router, I get speeds over 20 Mbps on my new computer laptop.

I have (even worse) similar results using the connection Wireless at work. I get speeds of 0.4 MB/s wireless, while my laptop Dell (XP) gets 14 Mbps. (Fortunately, I have a wired connection I use at work). At home, however, it is not really practical to use a wire.

I read through the forums as much as I can find, and I've tried several things... which none have helped. Here is what I tried:

    -Updated all drivers network card.

-Management settings power change to "maximize performance.

-Uninstalled software built-in wireless to Lenovo (logins).

-Played clean boots with all disabled non-Microsoft services.

-Disabled my software installed antivirus (Kaspersky 6.0)

The only thing that provided a benefit is disable anti-virus... software but this is only useful at work. At work, if I turn off the antivirus and restart it, I can achieve speeds up to 5 Mbps (remember that my Dell XP laptop always gets 14 Mbps or greater). But, at home, disable the antivirus software does not make a difference.

    Any ideas?

I finally got it to work. I now get wireless speeds in the range of 7 to 12 Mbps. That's what I did yesterday:

-Installed all Lenovo ThinkVantage tools - including updates to * all * optional updates.
-Manually update my network card drivers wireless (Intel Centrino Ultimate - N 6300 AGN) in version 13.1.1.1. (It's at 13.0.0.7 and when I click on update driver, he couldn't find any new tool.) But, I found 13.1.1.1 on an Intel website and installed it.)
-Uninstalled ThinkVantage Access Connections wireless management software.
-Disabled 802.11n Mode (it's been activated) under the Advanced tab of my Intel Centrino Ultimate - N 6300 AGN properties. (This amount has contributed to the work. I received fast performance with this active or disabled on my home wireless network after other changes.)
  • J6450 wireless in Vista 64 and XP 32/Vista 32 environment

I installed my Office Vista 64 and reconfigure the J6450 to run infrastructure wireless with 2 laptops running XP 32 and 1 laptop running Vista 32. I have had no problem the printer and the conduct of Vista 64 but I couldn't share the printer with laptop computers. I don't see the printer on the network to any of the laptops.

I had to install the J6450 driver on each laptop software to launch in wireless mode. I can see the printer from the laptop, if I set sharing in XP, but it is not as desirable, given that laptops are not always on the network.

This means is not Vista 64 compatible printer shares with 32 XP and Vista 32?

I dropped the J6450 of sharing.

I installed the software on all three computers laptops (XP32 and Vista 32) and also installed on the desktop (Vista 64). So far, everything seems to work OK (print, scan, fax).

  • between my computer and router wireless connection (vista, premiem windows 7, 64 bit)

Hey I recently had problems with my connection Wireless between my computer and the router.
Normally off during the night is not connected to my router or on the internet the next day.

I have been in close contact to my isp provider and have received a new router and reset my wireless Internet services provider site but I'm still having problems. I have also updated my drivers for my wireless on my laptop Hp G62 and have found that it will not cut when I do not shut down or sleep during the night.

When you try to solve the problem, it will come back with "problem with the adapter or wireless access point and then asked to disconnect the power to the router. After doing this it will be fine all day.
I do also to turn a blackberry 9000 "BOLD" and see first thing in the morning if the wireless is connected or not.

ask for help, here is my last option I have been through everything and had an expert look at my computer where he found nothing wrong with my computer or wireless set up settings.

any help or advice would be great

    Hello

    1. do you have problems connecting with Windows 7 or Vista?
    2. you remember of any change to your computer before the problem?

Make sure that there is no interference between your router and your computer. For example. Mobile phones, like the mobile signals could conflict with your router signals and therefore no connection to your computer.

You can uninstall and reinstall the Device Manager wireless network card.

To uninstall the wireless device manager,

    a. Click Start, type device manager in the search box of start and press ENTER.
    b. Locate the network adapters and expand the same.
    c. Select the wireless connection, right click and choose uninstall.
    d. restart the computer, if prompted.

Pilots should settle automatically after the computer restarts.

Now you can install the latest wireless drivers and check if this solves the problem.

  • «Caching of connections from domain to Vista laptop fault for * some * users, which gives the message "failure of the trust relationship «»

    Greetings!

I have a laptop wireless problem Vista Ultimate on a domain that has a strange behavior when taken off site. Of course, I'd appreciate some thoughts on what could be the problem.

When the laptop is used internally, it works normally and is used by two people. Person "A" is the main user, person "B" is a secondary user who connects is rare. Domain authentication works normally and thankfully.

Sometimes, however, when the laptop is taken off site and brought in a different wireless network do not have access to the field, strange behavior of logon follows.

When the person 'A' tries to connect, they receive two messages:

"The system event Notification Service failed to logon"

"The trust relationship between this computer and the primary domain failed."

Yet moments later, what person 'B' opens a session on the same laptop in the same place, the logon succeeds and the laptop runs normally.

Presumably, the two openings of session would be finished via the credentials cached, so there is no reason at all to imagine that each account should be treated differently. However, it is precisely the situation that I see. Something is apparently originally person 'A' logon to be handled in an unusual way, I can't explain or stop.

When this laptop is returned to its primary location, resumed normal operation, all users can perform normal logons domain-based, and no errors occur.

If it was simply a problem of not being on the same wireless network and by far the field, I expect to see something in the sense of a message «could not domain controller be contacted...» ", but this is never; and he would likely by all users, no not one. It behaves almost as if caching credentials for the person 'A' are corrupt or non-existent, neither of which is logical.

Other portable computers used by many people (using various combinations of XP, Vista and Windows 7) and taken offsite have * never * experienced this problem. They operated with credentials cached just like you would expect.

I suppose that a complete reconstruction could solve the problem, but I prefer not to go nuclear on this particular area if it is not necessary. There must be an if explainable, eccentric, the mechanism at work here cause this problem.

Thank you very much in advance for the help.
