Small window titled: c:\progra~1\java\jre6\bin\ssvagent.exe and I have to close it every time
Whenever my friends open ups, a new window, a small window that resembles a Cmd window opens that I got too close before the main window opens. How to prevent the opening of the smaller window?
It is Java. Uninstall all previous versions (if theres more than one installed). Make sure that the most recent version ONLY (6 update 24)

Geez, you have to go to 10 different things even get here! I'm having a problem with getting a small version of firefox every time I open a new window but it is empty, it looks like your web page, I have to close it, to look at my site that I opened. I did a virus scan and there is nothing. I have windows and firefox is my homepage, btw when I go to IE I don't have this problem, seems like when firefox installs a new version of that something is happening.
Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

This has only started happening since I upgraded to firefox 8
Use Restore or expand in the context menu of the icon in the taskbar to set the focus to the Firefox application if you do not see it.
Open the system menu via Alt + space and see if you can resize the window.
If it works then close Firefox (file > exit/Quit) to save the setting.See also:

I don't know what other details I can give you. I'm not very computer wise. Just a web browser and Claris emailer daily. It is a problem of catch 22. For example when I install a program. flash player Adobe for example, it tells me to close firefox to continue and when I do I get the firefox still works the message even if there is no window. I have this computer perhaps only six months, and until about 2 weeks ago, everything was super fast. Now, though, even typing has a period. It's okay if I'm not online, even programs like Word give me messages don't respondents not all the time. When I run the "Performance Monitor" it tells me that there are a lot of programs that run automatically start-up, but it does not say those who don't actually must be performed initially to the top. I'm afraid to change that because I don't really know what is function of each program. Can someone help me?
2 other recent issues:
My hoptmail account seems to have been infiltrated by something which repeatedly sent emails to all of my contacts with a link to a site of "meds online" (I got this message from a friend about five months ago and he sent it for a reason, so I clicked on the link in the email, but since then I delete them without opening them in my Inbox of thought).
The other is that it seems that Windows Defender does not open, and the computer itself says that there is no antivirus installed when there is.

Help please... I have a gateway gt4024 designed with Media Center 2005. Recently, the system was not "acting accordingly so I tried to reload the OS." I realized that I didn't have the recovery disc, then I decided to load XP Professional I had on it. The law on the computer is as it has been installed correctly and then I get a message saying explorer.exe could not be loaded properly or the drive perhaps is corupted and the same message to another .dll file. Once completed, I can reboot and use the computer, but then the windows installer will not work and the drivers are still present on the hard drive. Now, I loaded the new operating system before and I know that pilots are not supposed to be always present on the system. I then put a new hardrive has had the same problem. So, I then took the hardrive and placed in another computer that was be a dell and load xp fine without error. Can someone point me in the right direction. I contacted gateway to another Media Center recoverydisk, but they said because the computer was no longer under warranty, that they did not have the specified disc and to contact Microsoft. A link would be useful.
