  Hello.  I bought the storm yesterday.  My carrier is Verizon.  I went on the BlackBerry 101 on the site last night and he said to go in the media, then under the ringtones option there, choose "download ringtones" in the menu.  I tried which... but this option does not exsit in my menu.  Then... How and where can I go to download ringtones on my Storm?  Mobile.BlackBerry.com tells me to download the same way.

  You are right to not see this option - blackberry manuals can be very ambiguious due to the fact it operation of the 'general' device of overviews... not specific to the carrier verisons...

  If you want ringtones?  You can use your own music from your computer!  If you have installed the Blackberry from your Inbox user Tools CD, you will see that, in BB, Bishop Office is an icon called Media Manager.  If you go here, you will see you can drag "/" drop "the files in a folder pre-designate ringtones on your memory card support.

  Better yet, there are programs out there in stores and on the web that allow to cut snippets of your songs and create your own ringtones!  As long as they are in a compatible format, you should have no problem...

  Running Windows 7 ultimate and IE 8, I tried to download Blackberry Protect. I had the browser plug-in with a green check mark and selected the n series (whence it, I forgot) and get a second check. the Tower phone screen displays icons of phone and your PC with two arrows between. Nothing happens until the page finally expires. That's the good news! the bad news is that the second step IE8 repeatedly crashed.

  I just installed SP2 (very slow!) and IE9 with the same results. It seems that software RIM is not compatible with MS or MS software is not compatible with the rims. Any suggestions? Looks like a good app. Any suggestions?

  In this way, Windows may not engage at all.

  (And this isn't a good app, it is an INTERESTING application!)

• Images of Smartphones blackBerry will download is no longer in the e-mail

  My apologies if this has been taken up, but I looked and did not find any mention of this particular problem. From today I can't get images to display in my e mails more. This has never been a problem before.  I would open an e mail and select 'Get images' and they would display. As of this morning when I choose "Get picture" I can see that it works as it's going to download but nothing ever happens. I can always open web pages and play music and video files and see pictures I have stored on the card of press.  Everything seems to work except the download photos is no longer in my e mail.

  I did not bring any changes to anything... at least not on purpose, I haven't done anything in the settings or options.

  Does anyone have an idea, what could be the cause when it worked without problem in the past?

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Before you download a theme, first go to Options > display > home screen Preferences> check your download folder (his House or something different like media, application, instant messaging, or anything else) you should keep it HOME , then CLICK on to the home screen panels > Manage panels ( make sure everything is marked ). Then take a test.

  Just thought I would answer my own question that I'm going through my history. Looks like fixed BB download page to be 7.0 finally. Funny as it is difficult to actually contact someone on the EDGE.

  You should try the manual method... from a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

  Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

  If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

• BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Storm 2 (9550) Telus - will not update

  I tried to update to update my Storm 2.

  TELUS said there is a de.32.712 update but when I try to update it starts and then tells me to check my internet connection and try again.  Of course, retry does nothing.

  I tried it on my laptop and I thought that was the problem.

  I moved from Northern Ontario and I now live in Toronto.  WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

  I changed my phone number.

  I now have my desktop hooked up and the same thing is happening with an ethernet connection.   Therefore, it is not the internet.

  I was able to install the latest version of Desktop Manager.

  It starts to back up and then has a problem.   So the next time that I supported first.  When I went to upgrade, he wanted to back up again, but I unchecked it.  He immediately said that I had a problem with the internet connection and try again later.

  Sorry for the delay in responding.

  As web-based charger does not work, I would suggest doing the following:

  1. go to https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=02A32AD2669E6FE298E607FE7CC0E1A0

  2. download the software of the device for your BlackBerry Storm 9550 5.0.0.712

  3 install the software and tap on finish once he did install.

  4. navigate to the location where Loader.exe is installed. The default location is C:\Program Files\Common Research In Motion\AppLoader.
  5. start Loader.exe. The Application Loader Wizard window opens.
  6. when the Communications Port selection window opens, select a PIN number for one of the BlackBerry smartphones connected to the personal computer. Click Next.
  7. the Application Loader Wizard opens the selection of the Application device. Select any other languages or applications in the selection window, and then click Next.
  8. click on Finish. The BlackBerry smartphone will be improved with the appropriate software.
