  I know it's maybe a silly question - but I was finally able to download the blackberry Desktop Manager and then back up all the data from my blackberry to my computer via Desktop Manager.  For my own peace of mind, I would like to see some of these data (addresses and phone numbers) just to make sure I did the back up properly.  Is this possible?

  Well, your confidence level in the backup process is your own to define. Maybe if you start the restore process, but do not actually run it, DTM might give you indications of what it contains. I agree that I saw the posts of others who say that the backup was useless... but I have no way of judging if their characteristics are identical to yours.

  Hello! I went from Cruve from BB to BB "BOLD" this weekend and while I tried to add some of my contacts from MSN messenger on my new "BOLD" of BB BB, some of them appear as accepted invitation, but instead of their name, their ID number is displayed. Whenever I send them messeges they they receive that way.

  What can I do?

  Also, I added some of my phone numbers and when I received a call from some of them, their number appeared instead of their names, as if they weren't part of my address book.

  Finally, my calls list does not appear in chronological order...

  Most important here is the following, you have the old blackberry with you?, if your answer is Yes, follow this procedure.

  1 - Clean your BlackBerry "BOLD", go to menu, options, security options, press menu again and wipe of the handheld.

  2 connect the old BlackBerry to BlackBerry Desktop Manager and choose the Option of switch device, program read all the information on your device, after that this request automatically to connect the new BlackBerry "BOLD" and automatically adds information about the new device, no more action.

  I'm looking for a placeholder in the human resources base to store meeting rooms / laboratories / details (name, number of phone & extensions) of the training room.

  I am using the screen of the organisation (Structures of work-> organization-> Description). Here we define the classification of the Organization as "Training Center", I only get a field to store telephone numbers. I know that we can have the phone number attached to the structure of localization work.

  As we have many laboratories and rooms meeting/training in the same place, I don't think this is a good option to create multiple sites for the sake of phone numbers.

  We have sown flexfield descriptive "Org Developer DF" used to define the Types of information organization. As a seedling, I'm not touch to activate the additional fields.

  Could someone please advice what should be the best approach I should follow to add the meeting rooms / laboratories / HR Core training room details. Please let me know if I'm not clear or need additional details.

  Could define a location Extra Info structure (multiple lines)? Any org would then one place for his main address, but which could in turn have several entries in location additional Info to save details etc at this point in the meeting room.

  I live in India. My uncle gave me his blackberry that he had bought in the United States. I think he got it from sprint, but it is unblocked now. I tried to use a "AUNTIE DOCOMO" SIM at the beginning. It would work for a single call, and it would allow me to send messages. When I went to customer Service, they told me to switch to AIRTEL for her to work. I did it and it worked for a few days. One day, I was just messing around and explore. I opened bbm (I honestly don't know how to use bbm) and since I was not able to connect to the WiFi, I tried it out. Then I went to my music player. He wouldn't let me play music. He said that I should turn bbm off to do this. I tried, but couldn't. Since off the phone and turning it back on did not work, I tried to remove the battery pack. When I turned it back on, the music player worked fine but the phone does not even recognize that there is a SIM in there. I guess that the changed settings or something. Thanks in advance!

  With BlackBerry Protect in software, it can be removed by the thief if your phone is not protected by a password.  What you need to do is call Globe as soon as POSSIBLE to have the PIN code blocked so that you will not incur charges for the use of the thief of the phone.  Some carriers will also block the IMEI and some won't, so you don't have to call them on this subject.  You should try also immediately wipe your phone with BlackBerry Protect to protect you from anyone seeing its contents.

  To suggest another software application now that your phone was stolen would be unnecessary in this case.  Next time, I don't really know of any other software that works better than BlackBerry Protect.  Once you get your back of the phone, or a new, I recommend that you install to protect them once more.

  I had a problem with my trackball and was sent a replacement phone.  I have to go back to the old phone, but want to make sure that I receive all my personal information, i.e. of e-mail and facebook passwords, etc., out of it before returning and I already have my new phone setup, so did not not internet access on the old phone...   Wipe the device, go to options...... general security... menu key... computer handheld wipe.  This will clean the unit of any personal information.

  I checked the updates on my smartphone and downloading the software 7.1.

  I received a warning that if I chose to install the software I wouldn't be able to use my camera for 2 hours. its been over 24 hours and its been taped at 9% on the "backup of my data.

  I finally found a sollution. Before downloadng software. USB cable allows you to connect your phone to the Blackberry Desktop software, allow to connect. * do not forget that it is in safe mode * select device > delete data > selected data > RSS social & data smart card. Once done go ahead with your web upgrade based on the upgrade "on-line". I hope this works for everyone as it did for me!

  Your phone works as expected with Advanced calling off. If you have advanced calling off and place a phone call, the data connection will be reduced to 1 X and data will not function during a call. If you are in a 4G area and you advanced calling on the call will be routed on the 4G (VoLTE) network. This is why your data will continue to work. Call HD and video calls work only if you are calling from another device advanced calling (VoLTE). To make a long post short, so what you see with the login data is normal while during a call with Advanced calling off.

  You have little free memory left on your device.

  Most people close the applications by pressing escape or the red button. This does not close the applications.

  Each application has an option CLOSE. For example, if you are in the calendar, press the menu key (spotted) and scroll down to the bottom CLOSE is listed. Go through each application and then press close. Go to the menu press browser and options select cache operations clear all categories and reached escape it will say cleaning memory. If you have the following option:

  Go to options - security - garbage collection - enable. The BB will now clean up the memory when idle for 5 minutes.

  you will have an icon on the screen to clean the memory of you make sure you press it. Make sure that you use the button CLOSE whenever you're done with an application.
