Hmmm I have already try 10 times with the same ID and password, but it doesn't always work, so my conclusion that we can eliminate the chances of typing wrong.

I agree that we can eliminate typing wrong, perhaps we can remove a modifier key? In these areas, it lets it now see clear text are you FORCED? And, if so, is this really what do you expect? Honestly, it's very common to think that we are typing something when in fact it is something else because of a modifier key that we weren't aware of.

    Ridwan says:

now how about something wrong with the provider? the truth is I buy this from America and I think that it is always locked with verizon card only and I use another provider in Indonesia. How about that?

If the BB remains locked to NPI, with any other SIM in it will not work... get it unlocked another SIM from VZW to use carriers.

    Best.

  • Smartphones blackBerry touch 9800 Ring Back tones

How or can you set up ring back tones to contacts?

By back ring tones, I'm assuming you mean the song the caller hears when we call you, instead of just a sound standard of ringing.  If that's what you mean, they are a feature offered by your carrier and have nothing to do with BlackBerry itself.  You will need to call AT & T for information about them.

I hope that helps you.  If this isn't what you were talking about, thanks for posting back with precision.

  • GPS and Smartphones blackBerry 9530

    Hello

I used a Mitac Mio who had a GPS based on the SirfStartIII chipset. The point is that it is a real GPS, that should work, even if I'm not on any carrier / have not inserted any SIM card. There are no data charges with such GPS.

You want to know if the GPS on 9530 fixes its location by GPS satellites, or with a data connection / network of towers.

    Thanks in advance

I do not have a BBery. But plan to buy Storm 9530. Storm 2 is not available in my country.

    Satellites.

You can do the same on the BlackBerry - in other words, get a satellite SIM card solution or data with no connection to the network to be active.

  • Question of Smartphones blackBerry 9530 BB and Outlook 2007 - somehow!

    Hi Forum,

I'll try to make it simple: I have BB 9530. I also have Microsoft Outlook 2007. When I install some tasks, or "Contacts" or etc. in Microsoft Outlook 2007, I want to synchronize everything using my USB cable connected to the BB 9530 phone. Everything works fine.

What my problem is that I need to have my e-mail messaging settings, because I need to connect it to Outlook 2007, but I can't locate where my settings are, for example "POP3 Incoming mail server and outgoing mail SMTP server info.

All this because I was getting the dialog box saying I needed to "enter network password". One of the suggestions was again the information from the server. I hope this is enough information to understand my situation.

Once again!!  I appreciate your help.

  • Smartphones blackBerry 9530 OS question

Hi, I would like my storm9530 able to read and write Chinese (if the UI changes also Chinas would be great), since my storm is Verizon we, so it is not supported. I had checked all the 9530 OS from other countries and no one is Asia, so I did not that they are not supported. I know that the BONES of 9500 of Taiwan do not support Chinese, so my question is can I use the 9500 OS install on my 9530.

Unfortunately the 9500 operating systems are not compatible on the 9530, so you can just install it.  It is possible that you could manually install the java files in Chinese, but there is no guarantee.  If I find something, I'll let you know, otherwise Google will be your best friend right to understand that for the moment.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry to take apart and put back together.

No, I don't mean remove the physical device.

My company (finally) made me a Blackberry (Bold 9650) so I could learn to do things like it backup, restore and so immediately and (better) to provide technical support for others.

So, I would like to know:

    1. how to back up my Blackberry?

I have e-mails, contacts and appointments calendar and your Internet favorites.

Would I need (as I believe...) to connect the device to a computer via a USB cable and somehow save these items on the computer?

Is it a synchronization for this software?

    2 restoration

I guess I want to reverse the process above.

    3 secure wipe

Some time ago, in another section, I was told that it would probably be necessary, if a Blackberry into a movement of one BES/BPS server to another, to wipe the device and then turn it back on.

Wipe the unit would, I guess, delete the personal data, hence the master back to the top and restore operations.

What a wipe erases exactly (and what don't we not delete)?

    4. What is (re) activation after a wipe?

Wiping the Blackberry does include eliminating the activation information (I guess for that), it seems that I have to reactivate with my ISP (Verizon, in my case), correct?

Now, I won't do this 3 times a week, every week, but can I reactivate my Blackberry as I want? I just call Verizon like I did at the beginning?

    Hello

Yes, the subject line is a little off the mark! I'm afraid that some people may not even venture into your thread accordingly. However...

Hmmm... I'm not sure on the migration of one BES to the other, but I know that a WIPE has no effect on the it policy. I don't know if the migration to an another BES replaces the policy of IT or not. Nevertheless:

Reactivation as with the carrier. For the Association, is a lack of prejudice no-fault to reactivate with them. Simply dial * 228 and select Option 1 (then again and select Option 2). You don't really have to call and talk to them because your BB is fully registered on their network the first time you activate... on CDMA networks, there is much more "hardcoded" into the network (where the greatest difficulty taking CDMA devices and use them on another CDMA network).

    I hope this helps!

No, the 9530 is not a WiFi device. I'm sorry.

    Hello

For the last three months, I have a problem with my blackberry.

  • Smartphones blackBerry freeze / hang screen - Curve 8900

Hi, I have a Curve 8900 which works fine since I bought it 3 years ago. Recently, the screeen began to crash and freeze and its driving me crazy! The usual routine to take out the battery when the unit is on solves the problem temporarily, but then after a short while the problem comes back... Please help... I have zero apps on the device. I have put some photos on the device recently but the memory card still shows 75% of free space! Thank you very much.

The first thing I recommend is to check what I said in my first reply you above... Make sure you have a solid backup. Given what you describe, your situation may worsen, and data loss is without a doubt a high risk to you now.

Assuming you're all good in this regard, then then I recommend a full WIPE on the device:

    • B14058 How to delete all data and applications in the smartphone BlackBerry using the security option wipe

But before you do anything about restoring data or reinstallation of applications, make sure that the problem re-no appears not at 100%. If it is not the case, then you can restore/reinstall. But if so, then more drastic measures are needed, starting with a refill of BONE.

At the top of each forum device, there should be some 'sticky' threads dealing with the level of the OS available for many models. If they understand your model, please use those as a reference as you go along. Otherwise, you will have to dig through the download portal official for packages of OS for your model:

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Don't forget that you remove, since your PC, any other BB OS devices as packages with more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try this procedure might limit the specific causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:
