Where do you control which Essbase servers appear in the menu users when they choose the option 'Shared connections' and then choose Essbase? For new installations of customer our production and development server is being listed. The user can choose "Delete server" and get rid of it, but I would delete the development server from the original list that they see.

What is an administrative option that I can control? Our services shared URL points to our production server http://server:19000 workspace / working/SmartViewProviders space. I have examined the APS configuration and workspace options but do not seem to find anything on this. FYI, we are on the latest version of Smartview/APS/Essbase 11.1.2.1.102.

Thanks for any help on this.

To remove a shared SmartView connection follow these steps:

1: connect to the interop url: http://: 19000/interop

2: expand Group Application-> Foundation-> metadata deployment-> shared-> Essbase Services registry-> and locate APS LWA.

3: right click on the file 'datasources.xml' and select 'export to Edit.

4: make a backup of the file.

5: change the file - remove unwanted under type of Essbase server.

6: right-click on datasource.xml and select "Import after Edit" and import the file back.

7: restart the server of analytic provider Services.

  • Hyperion strategic finance are not listed under Smart opinion shared connections (GPE 11.1.2.3)

    Dear,

I cannot access to Hyperion Strategic Finance french SmartView because that are not not under Smart display shared connections.

But if I try to connect french private connections this is excellent work.

I tried to reconfigure the service providers, but did not work.

    Could someone help me?

    Thanks in advance

It should be possible using a shared Strategic Finance connection because we know - creating a connection by using shared logins , as far as I know, it's only OBIEE where you use the XML method.

It might be useful to check in the workspace under settings of the workspace and products permit to see if Strategic Finance is on.

  • File sharing connects drops.

My home network was connected & working. But once or twice a day, there is a drop of water off. My other computers suddenly cannot access files on my main computer. Normally, it can. But, my main computer is still able to access other computers.

Whenever this happens, I have to reset my Lan Card: Panel > Network & Sharing Center > Local area connection status > diagnose > local connection reset. Then it works again.

My question is, how can I stop this fall to occur in the 1st place? It's a kind of argument when sharing keeps on droping off because I lose data that I was seized of data on other computers.

  • Problem of sharing connection Internet Windows 7 '(null) '.

When I try to share my internet connection or my cable connection in windows 7 it gives me this error message, after asking to change the ip of the other adapter to 192.168.137.1:

    ---------------------------
    Network connections
    ---------------------------
An error occurred while Internet connection sharing was being enabled.

    (null)
    ---------------------------
    Ok
    ---------------------------

It is not very clear, I went to the newspapers of the events in the windows system and found this warning message whenever I tried to turn on internet connection sharing:

The ICS_IPV6 failed to allocate bytes of memory. This may indicate that the lack of virtual memory, or that the Manager of memory has encountered an error internal system.

Don't think it would be an indication of a certain type, I've tried allowing all IPv6 protocols in all my cards, even the disabled those (I use them all off by default), but kept showing the message and recording of system log, so no sharing of the internet.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you

PS: Please do not ask me why I need this... reason would be another problem and I don't want to work around the problem, I want to share my internet connection... What is complex?

    Hi MichelCosta,

Maybe not all services that run Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) are enabled. I suggest to start early and make sure dependency served below are enabled.

    1. click on start, run, type services.msc and click OK.

    2. to activate a service, look for it in the right pane, double-click its entry.

    3. do not forget its Startup Type is set to automatic, and then click OK.

All the following services must be so configured to use ICS:

    Application Layer Gateway Service
    Network connections
Knowledge of the network (NLA) locations
    Plug-And-Play
    Remote Access Auto Connection Manager
    Remote Access Connection Manager
    Remote procedure call (RPC)
    Telephony

After checking and automatic startup for each of these services configuration, close the Services window and restart the computer before trying again to enable ICS.

    FOR INFO:

If this does not work, temporarily turn off the User Account Control (UAC), and then try again.
Note: User Account Control (UAC) can help prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. UAC notifies you when changes will be made to your computer that require administrator-level permissions. These types of changes can affect the security of your computer or can affect settings for other people who use the computer. So activate it after the test.

  • SmartView Essbase connection on the default port, must connect to 6423

    Hi all

We have Hyperion 11.1.2.2.30x installed and configured with full SSL everywhere.  With this, we have Essbase successfully listening on 6423 (6423 only, we have disabled 1423) safely and all components (planning, EN, Calcmgr, etc.) are in communication with success too.  Thereby when attempting to connect to Essbase via SmartView, we receive an error stating ' unable to communicate to < essbaseservername >:1423.  The issue is that SmartView trying to connect on the default port (1423) instead of the safe harbour 6423.

In environmental assessment, we have added a provider using the secure connection (< essbaseservername >: 6423: secure) that we are able to use in environmental assessments, but in SmartView is always looking for 1423.  No idea where this becomes SmartView and or how I can get it to connect to 6423?  Thanks in advance for any help you are able to provide.  In addition, all other connections through SmartView (SSL) are able to connect successfully.

    SmartView version 11.1.2.2.310

    Hyperion: all versions 11.1.2.2.30x

If SSL is enabled by the EMP for Essbase configurator and the value of setting SSL configuration in the essbase.cfg then when you connect to Essbase in Smart View the safe option should be available for example "EssbaseCluster-1: SURE.

  • Keep primary data with shared connections to the server

    Hi mates,

I am primary day before RAC dataguard configuration CARS. Primary FCAC uses shared server mode. The server main tnsnames.ora looks like this:

    HWPR =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = hwpr-vip1)(PORT = 1521))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = hwpr-vip2)(PORT = 1521))
    (LOAD_BALANCE = yes)
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = SHARED) < < < < < this is my concern
    (SERVICE_NAME = hwpr)
    )
    )

While the documentation said that for dedicated dataguard server is required. So what changes I need to do. It is required to change the tnsnames.ora shared dedicated or any other init parameter must also be changed.

No need to change parameter DISPATCHERS. Because you only need dedicated connections. They control the with the name of the Network Service in the tnsnames.ora file.

  • Functions of SmartView VBA (connection to the APS and automate ad hoc retrieves)

I tried a number of functions, all proved that it works?

I can't successfully connect to the APS and launch ad hoc recovery on a new worksheet with a definite POV/content.

    Thoughts?

I tried 100 permutations of the following:

    m = HypCreateConnection (void _
    "admin" _
    "password" _
    HYP_ESSBASE _
    "http://localhost: # / smartview/SmartView", _
    'localhost' _
    "App" _
    "BD1" _
    "TestConnect" _
    "Analytic Provider Services")

I tried HYP_ANALYTIC_SERVICES instead of HYP_ESSBASE (or its value appropriate - I think that it is wrong), I tried many permutations and APS/SmartView also)

If someone got it works? Just thought I would throw this out there.

  • How to send the Smartview independent connection parameters to the large base

    Hi all

I need to push the 2 different connection parameters in SmartView automatically, can someone guide me how this can be done? Anyone know the registry keys and file created when the user create an independent SmartView connection?

    Thank you

Is the path to the registry: HKEY_Current_User-> software-> Hyperion Solutions-> HyperionSmartView

    It's 9.3 - could be different for 11

You could export from a machine that has what you want and then send this file, users save on their desktop and launch from there. You can automate the process with you working people to network, I'm sure they have a way to bring that out.

  • Deskjet D2660 printer: unable to print from your PC Windows 10 using printer HP Deskjet D2660 shared connected to Windows 7 PC

    Hello

I have two PC Marge and Homer connected through a NetGear router:

Margin: A Windows 7 32 bit laptop computer with an HP Deskjet D2660 printer and one scanner HP Scanjet 2400 attached to it. All these devices work perfectly well.

Homer: 10 64 bit Windows desktop without devices.

The two computers share their photos, music, videos and documents folders and printers via a homegroup. However, although Homer can see the printer connected to the margin, if I try to print anything from Homer, it fails. To give an example of this, if I print from 2013 word on Homer, the dialog box is shown below:

At other times, on Homer, the item to be printed appears in the print queue, spool but then disappear. Moreover, I am aware of the problems of HP driver causing the elements to disappear with the disappearance of print queues in Windows.

All the HP diagnostic software I tried did not detect the printer, perhaps because it is an older model.

    Can someone advise?

    Thank you

    Martin O'Shea.

For the Dissapperaing of print job in the queue. Please follow the path below.

Step: 1 Goto C drive--> Windows System32-->--> coil--> printers (right click and click Properties).

Step: 2. under printer properties. Click the Security tab.

Step: 3 Under Group or user name-> click on each one, then click on modify.

Click on allow on all the paramaters (Permission) and then click on apply and then click ok.

Step: 4 reboot the system and unplug the power cable from the printer without pressing the power button on the printer.

Problem should be solved, it's usually because that computer allocates the permission for printing.

I hope that this should take care of the concern.

Could check you if provider services is enabled in the settings of the workspace.

    Scroll to the last,

And try again connect you in the workspace and then open excel and see if you are able to see the Essbase connection.

Make sure that the user has admin access or changes by admin id.
