Unable to scroll the mouse properly

Original title - scroller

When I try to scroll my mouse it's only going to halfway to the bottom of the page, and then it pops up? If I want to see the rest of the page I have to use the bar side... its rather boring.

Hi JessP01

1. What is the brand and model of the mouse?

    Hi Vadia,

Thanks for posting your question, and I'm sorry to learn that your scroll has stopped working. Please check your control panel to see if the mouse works properly * while Firefox is open.

Also, please try to disable graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
    • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
    • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    • Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:

  • Scrolling the mouse stuck with (Windows 7) wireless mouse

I have an optical mouse Labtec wireless for laptops. It causes a scrolling to happen unintentionally with the sliders and the drop-down lists, as long as the mouse is positioned on the element.

    For example:

    (1) when I joined these forums and had to choose a country made mouse scroll down to the bottom without my intervention (other than by selecting the menu drop-down). Almost all the drop-down boxes tend to be done regardless of what program it is in.

    (2) if I try to adjust the volume in the system triggers the sound mouse tray even when I'm trying to lower it.

    (3) in some programs of the mouse scrolls the page automatically. It does not work with all programs. Chrome, IE, Firefox, Acrobat, Notepad and many others is not affected.

    (4) I don't have these problems with XP at all, but I did when I used Ubuntu (mouse would scroll the tabs and cycle always to the first area of the taskbar of Ubuntu.) I had to alt - tab to switch windows).

    (5) for my first installation of Chrome, the mouse would be automatically scroll the tabs to the first even if I haven't done stationary above the tabs. I could could properly select another tab if I clicked it and then left mouse tabs quickly.

I did which solved the problem:

" The document suggested to change some registry values to disable this behavior of high resolution. So I did exactly cela and adds the following entries 2 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\HID\Vid_xxxx & Pid_yyyy\\Device Parameters

    VScrollHighResolutionDisable  = 1

    HScrollHighResolutionDisable  = 1

    (5) I tried to open the mouse and by removing the mouse wheel. This had no effect. I couldn't scroll through manually, but the mouse would be automatically scroll.
    I'm puzzled. Can anyone help?

    Seted Hello,

Thank you for your message.  Have you tried to use a different mouse or port on your computer?  In addition, you can try using your mouse on another computer to see if the behavior is the same, in this case, the problem may be with your mouse.  Please let us know.

  • Satellite L500 - scrolling the mouse does not work

I can't get the mouse wheel to scroll in any application using an external mouse - touchpad scrolls ok.

I tried several different mice. The wheel button brings up a display of all the programs that I have open (Windows 7), but the wheel does nothing. I am currently using a Microsoft wireless mouse, but I tried it with wired mice as well. Nothing seems to work.

    Thank you

    Which is really strange.
You might have installed some application that you got with this Microsoft mouse?

  • Scrolling the mouse

    Hello
I recently installed a wireless keyboard and mouse. (Microsoft Natural Wireless 7000 ergonomic keyboard and mouse Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 7000)

I installed the drive so the mouse has functions to perform a zoom go back to pages and vertical scrolling.

    Thus, it works well.

Then, when I want to use my old mouse (only can click, scroll and right click) to play video games like the wireless mouse do not suits me (Counter Strike CZ), I couldn't scroll down some weapons even when I use internet and try to scroll down, it does not work.

The wireless mouse is useful for surfing the internet, so I don't want to remove the program that allows the mouse to operate. But pulls me down during the game.

    So, please help.

    Thank you

    Hello Powerf0x,

Thank you for posting.  Even if it is a driver problem and not a Vista I was still offer my advice.  Mice drivers "Intellipoint" it should be an option to turn off the acceleration of the reduction in the games.  This setting is active, all the driver settings will be disabled for a part of full screen games.  The only other option would be to disable the drivers during the game to avoid having the problem.

Please let me know if this helps you. Zack

  • Scrolling the mouse not working not not to scroll through the pages. cannot change the Volume control. How to fix?

Original title: scroll of the mouse wheel only adjusts the volume. How to scroll through the pages again?

Using the wireless mouse (Silvercrest MTS2218-m with win 7 x 64) and scroll wheel is no longer made scroll page up and down in any program. Only, it adjusts the volume. How to scroll through the pages again?

Already checked the settings in Control Panel > mouse nothing obvious here to change this annoying feature. And have already uninstalled the driver for the mouse in Device Manager but no change. have also stopped and started several times laptop.

Close to the scroll wheel is a dpi button, which can also be used to pass
between normal mode and media holding for 3 seconds. In media mode
the volume control wheel and does not scroll.
    Read the manual... ;-)

  • Scrolling the mouse will pass only volume in the mixer volume if flying over directly.

By clicking on the mixer volume bottom right of your taskbar displays the master volume mixer. Normally once you do this, you can adjust the volume by using the scroll wheel on your mouse whenever your mouse is on the desktop. In my case this works if my mouse is located directly on the bar, not only the popup volume [see red outline in pic].

This problem came after I formatted my computer, I have no other problems. I checked the latest updated driver for my mouse and used the driver or program is to my mouse but nothing worked. It's frustrating because literally every single other computer, this option doesn't work. Specifications of the computer below. The next thing I want to try is switching on the mouse, I just have to get your hands on one. Meanwhile the guys/girls do you have ideas? I think there must be some kind of software or questioning.

I determined the problem, this is for all those who may have a similar problem in the future.

It's a mouse button assigning app called 'X - Mouse Button Control' I use this app to assign my 4 and 5 mouse button to the multimedia keys. To re install this application after I formatted my computer a setting has been changed. Specifically 'Make scroll wheel scroll window under cursor' once I have disabled this feature all my problems have been solved.

  • Scrolling the mouse resets too fast at every reboot

I have a Microsoft Explorer Mini Mouse (although I think that the mouse model is not relevant).  The scroll wheel is moving too fast. The smallest button jumps a whole page or more.  My normal solution is to go to control panel-> mouse-> wheel control and adjust vertical speed control to something very slow, like 8 (of 40).  This works until I restart the laptop (Win 7 Enterprise).  Since it is a laptop, it means that I am at least once a day.

I tried to change some registry settings, but nothing seems to work.  Is there an official solution from Microsoft for this?

  • Scrolling the mouse in 2015 of the hearing

Is it possible to have the mouse scroll horizontally by default at any time and don't perform other actions (such as zoom and vertical scrolling) under special conditions (as a modifier key, or hovering over a part of the interface)?

No, and this is not the first time that this application was filed. IIRC there is something of "coherence" in the answer, but I would be very happy if this became a controllable option so that you could have this whatever you want in the preferences.

  • Unable to use the mouse, get error 10

Title: The original JMicron will not work. Current. error code 10

OK, so ive been looking all over for this response. I have an alienware m11x r2 and my usb port does not recognize my mouse. He still has the power because my fan works when I plug it in so it's not the pc, its windows. I have windows 7. The exact name of it is JMicron OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller. I had to install on mine, because it was not yet on my pc, but it's on my other friends alienware. We have both the m11x r2 again his came with it. mine could have been a failure, because alien fx does not either, but it's a different story. alienwares are high quality and all, but there are a few that are defects. Help, please.

Drivers for your system are available from Dell support, specific to your tag #.

And the JMicron controller is the controller chipset
