• Percentages may not be correctly entered (SmartView 11.1.2.5)

  We had a problem with SmartView that we can't seem to find the solution to. We have an account of percentage on a line of input form. First, I'll show what we enter and receive in planning, then I'll show the same input data and results in SmartView 11.1.2.5. We expect from SmartView to imitate the logic that we see in our planning Web Forms. But it doesn't work.

  In SmartView, values less than 1 result in percentage of the way we expect what they. Values greater or equal to 1 reflect directly the whole percentages. How can I fix SmartView to enter results 1 to the value of 100%?

  But I can't seem to find out where I can get information on the status of this problem and find out if it is corrected in future versions.

• Substitution variables don't refresh in Smartview

  We have a dynamic scenario named "Forecasts" that uses the following formula:

  It apparently works. I say this because if I test it in Smartview, it works, but if I change the variable & ActMonth in EA and I update it in Smartview, values are not not changed accordingly.
  
  If I deploy or stop/start the application and then I update it in Smartview, the values are changed.
  
  Does anyone know why this behavior? How can I force to refresh the values in Smartview after changing the value of the variable?

  Planning forms, for business rules and calc scripts are launched when the user begins to them it seems that the substitution in the formaulas of contour variables are validated and expanded at the database startup. IT would be nice if ther yoni some sort of command to force variables to be updated after changing them, but it is not, so stop and start the BB is the only way to update

  I am putting together a dynamic report to submit with the smartview 11.1.2.3. My month is a reference to a cell outside the POV of the smartview

  When I refresh, I still have the reference to the cell, but I SUBMIT the reference is the transformation of the value, as if someone had done: COPY /PASTE VALUE

• Cannot enter numeric values in the Smartview 9.3.1.5 Options

  I have a user using Excel 2007 and Smartview 9.3.1.5.
  
  In the options of smartview, on the view tab, there is a box "#NoData/Missing Label. In older versions of smartview, we were able to enter a 0 in this area. However, this version will not let us a numeric value. As a work-around, I went into the registry and change the value to 0, but if the user opens the options screen smartview will remove this parameter. Clues on how to fix this permenantly?

  To display a zero digital instead an error message, you can enter #NumericZero in one of the three fields of alternative text. When you use the #NumericZero option:

  · Excel formatting of the cell is preserved.

  · All calculations with dependence on the cell will calculate correctly and take the value of this cell to zero.

  · This digital zero is for display only. When you submit, the value zero is NOT subject to the data source.

  You cannot set the display strings of cells containing a name member or the invalid dimension (metadata error). Metadata errors result standard descriptive error messages.

  Errors are priority in the following order, from the highest to the lowest. The error message for an error of higher priority takes precedence over that for a lower priority level error.

• Sprint SmartView error 635 for USB card wireless Novatel U760

  I couldn't use my card wireless U760 Sprint for more than two weeks now. I called Sprint technical support and tried to solve the problem. SmartView boots, shows normally; then I try to connect. Error is returned, RAS return error value: 6. found another thread that MS suggested running a file called rarepair.exe, which I ran. Now, the error that I get (after trying to connect), is "an unknown error 635". Windows detects the device properly, but it will not just connect. I removed and installed SmartView more times than I can count. Sprint maintains that it is a computer problem and not a card problem. Someone has an answer for my problem? Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can offer...

  I know it's the late response, but I have been dealing with this error for some time now.  Try this, and I'm sure it will solve your problem.

  Connect your air card, open the SSV, goto tools > settings > hardware > RAS change to NDIS.  Then try to connect via 3G.  The only problem you may encounter later is THAT VPN combined, whose your should be able to help with, if that happens.

• How formula MDX on level zero member data to Smartview?

  I'm a member of level zero, which stores the data AND formula MDX to ASO.  I wonder what happens when I pick up this member using Smartview?  ASO runs this formula, stores the result in the form of data in this member (zero level) - then report stored data to Excel? In other words - how formula MDX on members level report data zero to Smartview?

  Level 0 members not also store data, if it has an MDX formula. The value is calculated according to the formula only at the time of the recovery.

  What version of Excel? Excel 2013, but I think that's not the problem...

  The refresh action that I used is written in VBA and smart view functions. I use a personal library - programmed to adapt to our environment.

  It's strange to this error, because the report retrieved with the correct data/values. I don't care...

  To resolve this issue I just change the HypMenuVRefresh of HypRetrieve (sheetName) function in the part of code that refreshes the reports

  I created a SmartView excel spreadsheet on my desk.  When I copy the file on our server for others to use, the formula has suddenly had a server link in them.

  Note the link server in blue above.  Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?

  My job would be about to do a "find and replace the link" and replace by "white", but seems rather strange that it was inserted in the first place.

  There is an option in SmartView to fix the links, in the SmartView Ribbon, under features, click links in difficulty

  The function arguments are correct with regard to the name of journal, the member name and property name.

  Value of the property is always 0 and the property value string is always empty.

  Two property value arguments are expected to be passed by reference, so I should get some useful information.

  I guess that some prerequisite so that this function is not satisfied, but what is?

• Checking for changes of SmartView Ad - Hoc

  Hello

  I am a new developer to Hyperion, have hit a bit of a snag and thought it might be a good idea to ask the community.

  My challenge is the audit of SmartView changes by using the connection of planning. I turned on all the auditing options for my planning application. When a user submits a change in data via a form of planning using SmartView, the change is saved in the table "HSP_AUDIT_RECORDS" with a value of "Sync Back" Action. Everything is good so far.

  However, if a user creates an ad hoc network (using the same connection), all presented changes are not written to the audit table. This is despite all the options of checking is enabled.

  From what I understand, via ad-hoc data changes must be audited in the same way (although with a different type of change in the audit table) puzzled when they don't.

  We are running 11.1.2.1 (update soon!) so I was wondering if this is something that is present in later versions.

  Any help and assistance gratefully received.

• 1042003 error / unable to connect to Smartview EssbaseCluster-1

  Hello

  I am trying to connect to SmartView-user and password are ok, but when I try to extend to Essbase I get the 1042003 error message.

  Error network [11001]: unable to extract the information from the name of [EssbaseCluster-1]

  I was able to add the Essbase server in environmental assessments with the host name, but not with Essbasecluster-1, I get an error

  Error: 103: unexpected error Essbase 1030818

  Error: 1042032: network error: impossible to retrieve the data to host for [EssbaseCluster-1]

  Error: 1030818: failed to connect. Please check if the server and port are correct. If you receive timeout or handshake failure, please check if you have tried to connect to secure the port without keyword secure or disable the port with the secure key word.

  When I try to use smartview for Essbase I get only the node Essbasecluster-1. Planning node does not work normally.

  Hi, we solved this problem.

  For later use on anyone having the same issue:

  Judging by the logs, it seems that Essbase is looking for value hardcoded for the Essbase server: "EssbaseCluster-1".

  I added this 'server name' to the hosts file server as an alias of the address IP of the server and it worked!

• SmartView recover fails despite the registry on 64-bit Windows settings

  Hello

  Most of our users are on 32 bit except a user who is 64-bit OS and it has been repeatedly making message when he tries to retrieve large. Even if we applied the Sub registry settings, it is always the same error message and the interesting thing is he gets the error remarks 30secs from the point it starts to recover. That means the timeout happens well before the record of 15-minute limit. Is there any solution for this? It looks like the registry settings are being not effective at all. Ideas or known parameters for 64-bit systems?

• SmartView refreshes the entire sheet instead of just the selected grid.

  Is it possible to refresh the just selected lines in a journal with combinations of different members instead of the whole sheet? In other words, I have

  Is it possible to retrieve/update only the values of A and C. When I try in our environment by selecting the row that matches A and C, it updates the values of A and C, B and D as well. This does not happen with the typical add-in.

  If you use smart view 11.1.2.2.300 and above if I'm on version, then you should be able to select and recover

  If you're on this version, probably you might not have the multiple adhoc grid updates to do.

  1 remove the info from the first sheet and remove metadata sheet

  2. connect to the base. Select the box, then 'Adhoc analysis'

  3. it will ask if you want to use a multiple adhoc

  4. click ok and you are ready.

• SmartView 11.1.2.3 inherits not decimals of planning forms

  Web form is opened in SmartView 11.1.2 - decimal formatting

  Like the post above, we have a problem in SmartView opening planning forms in excel. Each of our cells is rounded to the nearest whole number, rather than inherit the decimal precision of the planning form itself. This occurs when the SmartView decimal option is set to "default", but it is resolved when the precision of the decimal value.

  Is this a known issue? Is there another problem?

  To select the formatting of a form:

  1 in the form and right click then select Apply.

  2. Select:

  l Cell Styles: use Planning of formatting

  l Custom Styles: use the formatting stored in Smart View
