New SmartView user

I created a SmartView excel spreadsheet on my desk.  When I copy the file on our server for others to use, the formula has suddenly had a server link in them.

The formula looks like this on my desk... =-HsGetValue("SimsMM","Scenario#"&OPTIONS!$B$1&";) Year #"& OPTIONS! ' $B$ 23 & "; Period #"& OPTIONS! "$F$ 1 &"; Notice #"& OPTIONS! ' $B$ 6 & "; Feature #"" & $D $ 1 & ";" Value #"& OPTIONS! "$D $5 & '; Account #"" & $A26 & ";" ICP #"& OPTIONS!" ' $B$ 8 &; CostCenter_RollFwd"& OPTIONS! $F$ 1 & ";". " ALL #"& OPTIONS! "$ 10 $B & '; AllDataSource #"& OPTIONS! ' $B$ 11 & "; Hist_Tonnage #"& OPTIONS! $B$ 12 & "") / 1000 "

When the file is copied to the server it looks like this... = -\\Uswcdfs120\files\Oracle\SmartView\bin\HsTbar.xla! HsGetValue ("SimsMM", "scenario #" & OPTIONS! $B$ 1 & ";") Year #"& OPTIONS! ' $B$ 23 & "; Period #"& OPTIONS! "$F$ 1 &"; Notice #"& OPTIONS! ' $B$ 6 & "; Feature #"" & $D $ 1 & ";" Value #"& OPTIONS! "$D $5 & '; Account #"" & $A26 & ";" ICP #"& OPTIONS!" ' $B$ 8 &; CostCenter_RollFwd"& OPTIONS! $F$ 1 & ";". " ALL #"& OPTIONS! "$ 10 $B & '; AllDataSource #"& OPTIONS! ' $B$ 11 & "; Hist_Tonnage #"& OPTIONS! $B$ 12 & "") / 1000 "

Note the link server in blue above.  Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?

My job would be about to do a "find and replace the link" and replace by "white", but seems rather strange that it was inserted in the first place.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

There is an option in SmartView to fix the links, in the SmartView Ribbon, under features, click links in difficulty

That should fix it for you.

The Mac is in itself a system multi-user, whether you choose to create a user or a large number.

All users you already created can be seen in

System Preferences > users & groups

The files for each user are kept separated, protected of the subdirectories of the Directory/Users:

    / Users

    your User_short_name folder

    file user_short_name to your spouse

  • broadcasting live does not appear, and I think that its connected to the "firefox" bug, please help, new mac user!

so far, your main problem is flash player, you must include the updates Flash Player with all the updates of firefox, oh and updated player get. It's your bug I 'think '. If it is not part of the territory firefox let me know. However, will not be broadcast live, I asked them, they had little info. including, you update your browser recently - with no answer to this question, so here I am. I don't know if the flashplayer or everything that has nothing to do with live stream or not, BUT quicktime play or help live streaming right? have no idea and the new mac user. GL

Adobe Systems, Inc. (owner of Adobe Flash) is not related to Mozilla Org in any way. Mozilla has nothing to do with updates to the software they do not create or owned by another company.

You have a very old version of Flash installed - Shockwave Flash 9.0 r47 - you must upgrade to the latest version available for Mac OSX 10.4.

  • new primary user

Background: I bought my wife an iMac about 2 years ago (end of 2013 build). It includes all current software upgrades. She used for a few months when running Windows on it. His CAD program behaves in this double OS environment, so I ended up find a Wintel solution. I took his iMac because it was newer than mine.

Problem: When I'm invited to the app updates, he sometimes asked his ID/PW and sometimes mine. Is there a way I can get it to just warn me about updates? I don't want to delete his user account, because she always things stored on the Mac.

If you're not already, please change your account to be an administrative user. Here are some instructions:

Convert a standard user to administrator

    1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click users and groups.
    2. Click the lock icon to unlock it, and then enter an administrator name and password.
    3. Select a managed user or a standard user in the users list, and then select "allow user to administer this computer."
  • New firefox user interface is just ugly

I want to say that I am a very loyal user and have been using Firefox for beta versions. And this is my first post of this nature.

We've been through a lot, a lot of redesigns, updates etc. I really grew to rely on firefox as tool and instrument. And since that time those updates were logical and had a direction. But today I've upgraded to 29, and I've just couldn't believed my eyes to see how unpractical and uncomfortable everything is now. You've taken the small things that I've accustomed to, you took freedom to manipulate browser in any way I, not YOU, but ME, want to use MY browser. YOU want whole new look is fine with me, make it choseable, don't force it, if it's good migration will follow, but now it's definitely a mess and for first time in 10 years firefox I will be considering firefox as my second-choice browser until (if ever) that mess cleans up.

Amen corsR. This new change struck me today too and it is really terrible.

Fortunately, there is an add-on that restores at least a semblance of decent what FF28- https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/

It is not as good as the original, but it's a hell of a lot better than the current design, by a wide margin.

           ========================

Narrow is basically the same as the above wide screen browser except that this lets
the sidebar column (filter column) in list view be pushed down or up in layout flow
to make room for the main column (table column) when the window is not wide enough.
It is done by setting margin-left and padding-left of main column to 0 and setting
max-width of main column, which is currently 1019px.  Consequently, if window width
           is less than 1265px (= 40 (margin-left) + 1019 (main column) + 166 (sidebar colum)
+ 40 (margin-right)), sidebar column is pushed down or up according to document
tree order. This rule set is intended to be useful for normal to narrow window
whose width is in range ca. 700-1400px. It can be used for wider window as well but
there's no point to set the max-width of main column in order to move sidebar
column when the window is wide enough.

  • How can I create a new admin user and transfer my old files?

    Hello

I want to create a new account administrator user on my imac and transfer all my old files.

Why? I have problems with adobe lightroom. I can't move the files from one folder to another; After a chat session of three hours with support from adobe, they discovered is not the lightroom catalog that causes the problem, the preferences file, nor permissions user/disc; so it's probably a problem with the user account is corrupted. They tried with a new test account and everything worked fine. So they suggested, I create a new user account and transfer my files.

I read on this forum that move all the files from one user account to another, means you also move the files at the root of the problem. So before you do anything: what are the thoughts of the community here on the suggestion of the adobe support the people, and if this is the right way to go, how should I go about this?

    System: imac 2.7 Ghz intel Core i5, 16 Gb 1600 Mhz DDR3, Mavericks 10.9.5, Lightroom 6.4

    THX in advance

    Robin

Open the preferences users and groups. Click on the padlock icon in the lower left corner. Enter your administrator password when prompted. Click on the [+] add at the bottom of the list of current users to create a new account. You can set the account to an admin account by selecting the new account administrator: drop-down menu. Set up as a result. However, you can't use the same user name, in order to transfer your data presents a problem with permissions. See the following article: transfer of files from one user to another account. Once you get set up in the new account, you can delete the old.

You shouldn't have a problem to transfer files of key records in your file. Just do not transfer anything from the folder/Home/Library/because that's probably where the shoe pinches.

  • I created a new administrator user account that has replaced the original one. Now I can not access my old files. What can I do?

Re: Main administrator account appearing not
If you can connect with the new account that you created (which should be an administrator account as well) then go directly to step 2 below.

I suppose that you use the administrator account as your main account (bad
idea anyway) and that means that you probably have Windows XP Professional * and *.
somehow enabled the guest account or create a new account - or
installed some patches that created a new account - as .NET.

I guess also that (since you say "appear") you also use the 'Welcome' screen
opening of session instead of the classic logon.

    (1) restart the system. Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE twice on home
screen. Type in "Administrator" (without the quotes) as the username
and do not put in any password and logon. Work?

    (2) or follow the instructions below to add the administrator account of
the Welcome screen * or * download/use TweakUI to choose that is visible on
the screen of welcome and even set automatic logon if you want.

How to add a user to the Welcome screen logon page:
    ------
    1. start regedit.exe (start--> RUN--> REGEDIT--> OK)
    2. navigate to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserLis t.

    3. on the Edit menu, select new, DWORD value.
    4. type administrator as the name, and then press ENTER.
5 double-click on the new value it the value 1 and click OK.
    6. close the registry editor.

The administrator account will now appear on the Welcome screen. You can use
These same steps to control other accounts listed on the welcome
screen. The value of the registry value to 1 to display an account or account 0 for
hide an account. For example, to hide the user Bob account, add a value
named "Bob" in the registry key identified in step 2, then set the value to 0.

You can do the above with the Microsoft TweakUI PowerToy.

    Method 2 of Microsoft:
    TweakUI for:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...PowerToys.mspx

    control userpasswords2 method:
    (1) go to the Start Menu and run the box.
    (2) type the following:

    Control userpasswords2

    Now click on OK
    (3) in the new Windows that appears select the account you want to make the
    opening main session.
Now, uncheck the box "users must enter a user name and password... ».
    (4) hit apply and a dialog box will appear asking you to confirm the selected
    user password.
Click OK when you have finished...
    ------

I hope this gets you where you are wanting to be.

It's a * good * thing in the field of the user to:
    (1) have strong passwords.
    (2) have more than one account to administrator (with strong passwords).

I know - you are the "only one who lives there, the only person who uses your.

  • New logon user - new user account is created, but it does not work

I have Windows Vista Home Basic Edition.  My computer has suddenly developed a little problem on user account and the guest account.  Every time a new user is created in the user accounts in the Control Panel, or the guest account has been enabled, users cannot open a session.  Any attempt to these users or comments of logon is greeted with "service user profile Service does not have the logon - user profile cannot be loaded."  When the new user is removed, and is used to save all the files, there is no file to be saved.

The problem is not a corrupt profile or SID which should be deleted or renamed and so on.  The problem is that when I create a new user through user accounts in the Control Panel, no profile or anything else seems to be created with it. The computer shows absolutely nothing more than the new user in the title of the user accounts and on the logon screen.  The new user is not in the settings under the my computer properties. There is no document (desktop and so on) for the new user in Windows Explorer; There is no SID for the new user.  It seems that there is no profile or anything for the new user.  System Restore could not help, because the incident that wiped out all system restore points also annihilated profiles. There is no '.bak' file in the registry for all users.

I have the same problem with the guest account.  There is nothing in the browser to indicate the existence of a guest profile. It doesn't seem to be a SID for the customer.  The guest account cannot be used because any attempt to logon as a guest is greeted with "service user profile Service does not have the logon - user profile cannot be loaded."

Yes, please is there someone who can help us solve the problem of not being able to effectively create new users and have a guest account. Thank you.

    Hello temp8127,

    Thank you for your answer!

You can do a 'repair Start Up' but will have installation disc.  If you perform a new installation, then Yes you will need to copy your personal files on a device.  Please let us know status.

Startup Repair is a Windows Vista recovery tool that can fix certain problems, such as system files missing or damaged, that might prevent Windows from starting correctly. When you run the Startup Repair, it scans your computer for the problem and then tries to fix it so that your computer can start correctly.

  • ACS 4.0 new administration users connect.

We just migrated to 3.3 something to 4.0 a few weeks ago. The old system, we had two administrative users: administrator (from right) and hd (with the rights to see registered users and failed attempts). After the conversion and moving to a new server, which works perfectly, user administrator has worked. However, the hd user gets a "connection failed" whenever someone tries to connect, even with a good password. (I have reset the password to things easy, I removed the password, etc.).

Also, if I change the hd user and click on "Grant All" to access, hd can connect. I tried through the elements a little at a time to see if there is one that can be turned on and let it work, but have not found one and it is a lot of time to go through one of the attributes at the same time, disconnect and reconnect you to solve problems. This happens with a brand new administrator as well - if it has not obtained all rights, he cannot og in.

The administration audit log is not very useful, registration only:

    24/05/2006 10:36:26 - SECURITY - 192.168.11.95 administrator 'hd' connection failed.

This worked fine before the upgrade, allowing the assistance of members of the Bureau check which were used on which machines (VPN or dial), and why they did not comply if it was.

    Is this a bug?

    Hi rich,

I tried this in the laboratory and it works well (only failed attempts and connected users access) with ACS 4.0. I don't know if this is specific to an upgrade.

BTW, have you tried to remove the 'hd' admin and add another admin using another name of user with rights to failure and registered users?

How to add an admin without any privileges? Can he successfully connect?

    Obaid.

Passwords are not wrapped in different workspaces. You could have exported the workspace from the old to the new db apex. Which would have copied all the accounts as well.

  • new firefox user, cannot access gmail

I did use Firefox in a very long time and downloaded to my Macbook Air. I can't have any cookies or cache yet, what I can, which would block me to access the Gmail page? FF says that the page may not load.

So this just link expires, or is there any other error message?

Could you try two other tests:

    • Load the page in a private browsing window, assuming that you are currently in a regular window. You can do this by clicking the link (or long-pressing, if any more for Mac) and selecting Open link in a new private window. It will bypass all existing files updated in cache and cookies set by Google in your normal windows.

You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still works

After stops in Firefox, a small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).

    Any difference?

  • New admin user forgot password

I have a Vista program on my laptop. I changed the admin password, but I forgot the password. Under password reset system requires a restore disc. Where can I get such a disk or how to enter the system to change the password. There is only 1 administrator who is me, I do not remember the new password. My antivirus is now expired and what do you suggest, I have unprotected. I tried to restore the system, but there is that no food not available files. Vista was already on the computer when I bought it 3 years ago.  What I can or can a Microsoft rep enter the system so that I can set up a new account admin
