  During the few weeks when I raise the LCD display of the closed position while in hibernation mode the display lights not. It's charge to the top of the home screen with user profiles. All lights are on and I can hear the fan working, but the screen remains blank.

  Unfortunately, at the moment, you cannot synchronize the modules that use adelta-sigma converter (such as the NI 9234) in several cDAQ chassis. This is because these modules use a clock of sampling, which is very high; the PFI lines are unable to return to the required sample clock. You can share the start triggers, but the clocks of individual modules will drift over time.

  The reason that the error message says that "requested the sample clock source is not valid" is because these modules require the use of a sample of clock that comes inside a time base clock oversampling.

• Cannot find device 9163 using DAXmx 9.1.7

  I'll put up the NI 9237 (for strain gauges) module using series C Ethernet ENET-9163 carrier.

  I installed DAQmx 9.1.7 which must contain the correction of the impossibility of finding the device when other USB devices are installed. (I have an HP desktop with the mouse USB, keyboard, etc., always under Windows XP SP3)

  I created a 2nd ethernet connection on this computer using the Cables to Go USB 2.0 to Fast Ethernet Adapter, what struck me ServerD in many other projects for the creation of a private network to operate the data acquisition equipment.  So I think that ethernet itself is fine.

  I finally got to DAXmx 9.2.3 which has much better help text to put in place.

  In my network setup where I have a separate private network, I had to use to allow it to choose an automatic IP address setting.  (Normally I have created my own private, without DHCP ip addresses).  Once I did it, and using 9.2.3 (I did both at the same time), I could find the 9163 and give him my own static IP address.

  Your task is also reading the CYC on the unit once for example, if you are done reading of two channels.  Reading of the CCM (it's the .../_cjtemp in the error message) is required to return a value of temperature measured from a thermocouple.

  First of all, thank you for the detailed notes. This helps a lot. You have the right version of DAQmx; now, we just need to upgrade the firmware. Here's how:

  After you have added the device in MAX (preferably on an Ethernet connection), click the button "Update Firmware":

  

  You will get a window that looks like this, where you can see what version of firmware you have. Click the folder to find the new firmware. It takes by default in a directory on your hard drive that contains the file 'ni9163fwROM.cfg' (if that's not listed for some reason, you can find it here: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\fpgafiles\mionetwork\ni9163)

  

  After the start of the update, you will look at a window of the scrollbar for a minute or two. Then, the device will be auotmatically reboot. You may need to reconfigure your settings after the update.

  Regarding the deletion/time that you did. You should not. After you have configured the wireless, you should see an IP address in MAX on the wireless tab. If she is not there, click "Refresh" now you can pull the Ethernet cable and continue to use the device. (If you want to convince yourself, click on the "Refresh" button again and you will see that the "Link Status" for the "Wired" connection is "down".)

  It is very probably steam or moisture produced in the printing process.  Here is some information of the document found here.

  Cause:

  Heat and humidity, created by the printing process dissipate through the vents at the back of the product, or by an internal fan. Moisture can sometimes appear on the trailing edge of the book on jobs in small print.
