SMS over Wi - Fi

I understand that this could be a problem of carrier, but I wanted to tender hand to see if anyone has the same problem.

When I switch to the iPhone 7 more, I stopped to receive SMS over Wi - Fi.  I can send and receive the iMessage and I can send SMS on Wi - Fi, but I can't receive.  I am currently on AT & T.

If I remove the SIM card from my phone and put it in 6 seconds of my wife, she also has the problem.  But with the SIM of my wife in her phone, it works very well.  Any ideas?  Can anyone else with AT & T test this?  (Turn on airplane mode and send an SMS over Wi - Fi and AT & T Wi - Fi.)

If the question "follows" the SIM card, it seems to be a problem with AT & T.

    Hello

Subject to your carrier supporting the appeal of Wi - Fi and function has been activated on your iPhone, Wi - Fi calling can be used to make and receive phone calls as well as - when supported by the carrier - for text messaging / SMS over Wi - Fi.

When the Wi - Fi is enabled on your iPhone, the service is also available via Apple Watch, even when it is connected to a known Wi - Fi network and the pair iPhone is not available.

In the United States, for example, both AT & T and T-Mobile currently support send and receive SMS via Wi - Fi calling.

  • Friends phone broke over her face while SMS me, isn't this an apple security risk must answer for?

My boyfriend complained during a week that his screen was popping his place without any cause. Tonight we were texting all of a sudden my texts were not delivered. I later received a message that her phone had broken in her face, and a piece of glass struck in the eye. What a safety hazard? A well conditioned iPhone should not have this kind of problem! I think apple should respond to this incident and fix their problem. A screen must not begin lifting simply because he feels like it, isn't apple making millions of dollars a year on their products?

Iphone 5 has real problems with his battery in expansion. He pushes the glass and puts a lot of pressure on the back of the screen. This is probably what would have caused its screen burst. Take it to Apple and see what they say.

  • How to export Contact using the vCard and SMS to the non-iPhone user

    Hello

so I just tried to share a contact, using Messages, from another phone (non-iPhone) and I expect Messages to send a vCard using SMS to other mobile phone, but instead the iPhone said: "failed to send Message."  Text messages normal sending very well (with the Green bubbles).

I followed the 7 steps listed at this link: http://www.iphoneheat.com/2013/01/how-to-send-contact-card-vcard-from-iphone-ipa d-ipod-touch /, but it did not work.

        1. Launch the Contacts application from the home screen of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
        2. Search for the contact you want to share and tap the name;
        3. When you contact details, scroll to the bottom and press the button Share contact ;
        4. Choose the option Message ;
        5. The vCard contact will be automatically inserted into an empty message.
        6. Now simply select the recipient you want to send the contact card to the field to the message.
        7. Click on send. That's all!

If anyone knows how it's supposed to be done with the latest iOS - to send contact information to another phone (non-iphone) by SMS?

Well, I figured that out, and it relates to this discussion of the Apple forum:

Why should I mobile data market to send/receive MMS?

According to my cellular provider (Fido, Canada), the decision to send vCards and picture Messages to cellular data radio was conducted by mobile phone manufacturers (Apple, Samsung, etc.), but it's probably a standard now that cellular providers design their networks (although I could believe the reverse had happened).

Fortunately, even if I use the connection 'data' Fido that they don't consider it as data, but as the e-mail... which is good for my boyfriend who is also using Fido, because is not a data plan but can now receive vCards (and picture messages) via MMS when it allows its cellular data (radio).

But the real question is why was decided to send a business card on the data network and not on the SMS network, as it is just text (such as a comma-delimited file).  And if the vCard happened to contain non-text byte then why they wouldn't just UUENCODE (or MIME) the vCard if there no text fields so that it could be sent via SMS?

Oh, wait... Search..., Wikipedia watch looks like what a card and its ALL TEXT: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VCard#vCard_4.0

    And very little text too.

If anyone knows why Apple does not send vCards via SMS (or why LG/Samsung either)?

Why I care, well of curiosity, of course, but also because if we could do more over the cellular transmitter voice/sms, so maybe we could turn cellular data more often, which would save on energy consumption (I guess), reduce the heat our phones get and to reduce our exposure to the EM radiation have some of the disabled (c.f. Bluetooth WiFi wireless transmitters (, data transmitters and cell phones cellular voice/sms).

Let's hope that someone out there knows.

    Thank you.

P.S. I also understood why so many of my friends use Whatsapp and WiFi to send text messages instead of using the network of suppliers of cells, the standard e-mail application in Android (and iOS when you message for a non-Apple device) will not send messages (SMS/MMS) via WiFi.

  • 1 X yoga with Huawei ME906S LTE - make sure you receive calls and SMS

I have a X 1 Yoga with Huawei ME906S LTE, is anyway that I can make and receive calls or SMS from him?

    Hello

me906s does not support voice calls in native mode, i.e.over GSM networks. The only chance was to Voice-over-IP-over-LTE or characteristic of the VoLTE. But the firmware of the modem specification does not support the VoLTE.

    http://consumer.Huawei.com/en/solutions/M2M-solutions/products/tech-specs/me906s-158-en.htm

About SMS support, use the connection 3rd party Manager. Or one Huawei Mobile Partner of the manufacturer. It supports SMS. There's a chance, it supports me906s.

  • Send an SMS to multiple people

It happens regularly that I want to send the same SMS to different people, is there any way to do this without having to type each time all the text over and over again?

If your receiver is available from the contact list, simply confirm the name or phone number and continue to add a new.

If you enter a phone number each time, add; at the end of the phone number to be able to add another receiver.

  • Binary SMS

    Hello

We want to send binary information to our application via SMS.

Our problem is that the BB app is we deliver the message as a text message and corrupt the information. We need of the information, as it is sent, if we want to be notified by a binary message.

We have total control over the SMSC, so we can modify each single parameter of SMS (as datacoding, smsclass, etc.).

What is needed to specify on the SMS for the BB App deals as a binary message?

    Thanks in advance,

    Carles

    We have found a solution:

If you need to receive binary information use the code published here:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800451/800563/How_To _...

He does not receive binary information using the MessageListener interface:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800451/800563/What_Is...

We believe that the second solution, it is much better, but we do not know how to receive SMS as a binary Message.

    It will be useful,

    Carles

  • BlackBerry Z10 Z10 sending SMS randomly

My Z10 BlackBerry seems to be to send text messages to short number #46246. But I'm not initiating them, or that they are displayed in messages on my phone. How can I know it? I have a texting plan and pay by text. These texts are showing up on my Bill. I have contacted my provider which confirms that they are definitely launched from my phone and say a few seconds, they can see later text received my phone to dial #46246. Usually, this happens once or twice a month in a group of 3 or 4 texts the same day. So a myseriously text is sent from my mobile to 46246 then a reception 46246, but none of it appears on the device. I fought this for a long time, send SMS 'STOP' to 46246, I contacted the company which I found 46246 is registered in the name. My carrier is ideas. The usual restarts, remove the battery, remove the SIM card, has been tried. At one point, I removed all applications of third part of the unit and there are always random texts sent. I don't know what these texts, and why the Z10 is their sending and costs me money!

You indicate that you know who or what it is. You say that you have contacted the company. What is the company? What did say?

You specify also is not your actual carrier. I read functions of carrier involving SMS, but it doesn't seem to be the answer that your carrier has an explanation.

You can do a security wipe. In these conditions I'd be careful what I restore. I really start over from scratch and not restore from a backup.

If somehow you have installed malicious software, the security wipe will clarify this point. If you do not restore, you don't put the malware on the device.

I don't know what malware there might be. It's just one if given the opportunities and your comments.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 9330 "SMS error 0, general problems. Can't send text messages

My Blackberry 9330 cdma has been great work over the past 7 months.  From Friday 22 November, I can no longer send text messages.  I can receive texts, but every time I try to send a text I get the error message following the General problems""(SMS erreur 0, ID de Message XX). "

I was using my phone as usual, sent the texts in the morning, but in the evening, I was unable to send a text with success to anyone.

I have contacted my provider and they did not receive one of the error messages on the network, and there is no power outages in my area (I tried to send other areas of the city too).  I have pulled the battery to reset, deleted the data from the phone, reset all connections... all to nothing does not.  The issue seems to be with the blackberry.

I'd appreciate any help or advice anyone can give me.

    Thank you

It is usually a network problem if you have not any setting or update any software on the device. I contact your carrier and bring them to escalate your case through their support channels.

  • SMS Multimedia Smartphones blackBerry messages?

[Sorry - in addition to the audit that should read 'how to activate MMS'?]

    Hello

Any new owner of BB (8130 Pearl). I have a Telus Faves 35 plan with unlimited access to e-mail / e-mail module and have a question about the SMS Messaging. The 35 Faves plan includes 'unlimited picture and video messaging with your Fave 5' (which I was contacting). When I receive a multimedia message (text with the image attached), I get only the text over a URL to TELUSMobility.com where I should go to see the image as an attachment. I thought that this image would make it online in the text? Under the camera application, there is a function of sending but no option to send a picture to a cell phone - email.

Still unaware on the sematics but on my old Nokia pay-as-you-go 3235i that images in messages SMS always rendered inline. I have used the wrong approach to send and receive multimedia?

    Thank you

    Scotty

This due to the fact that your SIM card or your mobile phone number is not configured for MMS service. Messages you receive means that your SIM card is not attached with your carriers MMSC.

To activate MMS service contact your operator. They will do the rest, and only then will you be able to send MMS from your BlackBerry. This problem is not related to BlackBerry.

  • Help of blackBerry Smartphones - how do I mass delete 25000 emails and SMS?

    Hello

I just changed my old BB to 9900. I used the BB Desktop Software to backup and restore my contacts beetween handsets

However I've also carried over ALL my old SMS and email that I didn't... Now my BB seems to work very slowly and keeps freezing. Every time I get a new SMS the following POP-UP appears:

"BlackBerry message memory is full! Please delete some SMS.

Now I have 8000 SMS messages bizarre that I would like to remove, but impossible to find a way to mass deletion. Believe me that I have not time to keep deleting the messages individually!

Does anyone know a solution to this problem. I guess it's very basic for some people here, but I have no idea where to start

    Appreciate any advice. Thanks adavance

    APS

Yes, go to the top of the Inbox, click menu bb and select delete before.

lol, although with all of these messages, it will take some time to remove allll of it. Hope that helps!

  • Problem blackBerry Smartphone email and SMS

    Hello

I just got a Blackberry Pearl. I have it configured to receive my email. Now, there's an icon of e-mail and all the email go. BUT it also started to go in the folder is the repository for SMS text messages. If someone told me to go to the General options, select SMS and email inboxes and choose separate.  I did, but the net result that the SMS folder displays only my email and the email folder also shows my email.

The only way to access my SMS Inbox is to select options menu, select display folder, and then select Inbox SMS which is a bit heavy.

How can I fix that so my emails go to my e-mail folder and the SMS go to my SMS folder?

Also is there a way to prevent the Blackberry to notify all my time, I get a new email. I'm fine with notification when I get a new SMS?

    Thank you

    Sandip

Nope. The 'message' icon is not the icon of your text. When you hover over the icon text he say 'SMS and MMS' If you are some e-mail and sms are set to separate and you did battery pull start looking. The icon can found in your application folder according to your theme. Check everywhere. Also, click on the menu and select Show all if it is present. And only look look look. Let me know if you find it or not.
