If I try to search using the address bar need me always to http://search.snap.do.
Only search engines, I've linked to the browser firefox are google and twitter.
I have macafeee anti virus. I just run a windows anti-malware program, but nothing helped.
Any ideas on how I can remove it.

What is the current value of the keyword. URL pref on the subject: config page?

Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.

Hello, after I accidentally installed snapdo, we can not type in the address bar or the search bar. I managed to remove snapdo now of the laptop. Export my bookmarks, reset firefox, nothing has changed - still does not. Uninstalled firefox, reinstalled, still does not.
In the end, we tried all those - they didn't work, but this thread and recommended prog worked.

Then we uninstalled Firefox, deleted all associated files - in the AppData folder and then reinstalled.
So it has now been resolved.

I get a message to call system administrater is this you? It says that I have a virus
I ran 3 times windows Defender. I even downloaded the avg program to rid the virus and uninstalled. I had this day adds arise and snapdo. They seem to all have disappeared except some adds keep popping up and I get the message above to call in. Someone wants to connect with my computer to run a diagnosis, but don't tell me who they work for except that they support the windows service. I did not go to them. The window with the phone number and call especially message had the logo of firefox at the top. Please advise as soon as possible.

There is a setting for new tabs...
(1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.
(2) in the search above the list box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered
(3) double-click the preference browser.newtab.url and enter your favorite page:
- (Default) page thumbnails = > subject: newtab
- Blank tab = > subject: empty
- Built-in Firefox homepage = > topic: welcome
- Any other page = > full URL of the page
Note: when changing to Google, use a full URL ultimate as https://www.google.com/ - if you use a partial URL, there will be a few seconds while Google Firefox redirects this ultimate URL.
Press Ctrl + t to open a new tab and check that it worked. Fixed?
Two traps:

retrieve the beats audio driver network

I have a new Beats Audio laptop running Windows 8.1. I noticed yesterday that Snapdo had been installed, probably on the back of other software, I need it to work. I had before Snapdo (on a different machine from Windows, in the past) & went to all lengths to get rid of it. In the end I had to use AdwCleaner to remove it. He took the Snapdo I think... but now I can't use either wireless or ethernet.
When I connect to the network, the network name is recognized & displayed it against the appropriate interface, but when I try to browse the internet through FireFox, IE 11 or Chrome, I get a message saying "unable to connect to the proxy server.
I checked network settings on my Mac (my other machine to work), and they match. I don't see where the problem fixed & suspect drivers. At the present time, I have not much in the way of customization & would just restore the machine so it returns to the State it was when I first receieved it.
Please can you advise if I have to be this extreme or something else, how to restore complete.

I suggest you disable the proxy settings. Follow these steps:
- Under 'Tools' in the browser tool bar, select "Internet Options".
- In the "Internet Options" window that opens, click on the 'Connections' tab at the top.
- Click on "Network settings" at the bottom of the section "connections."
- If the "Proxy Server" box is marked with a check, click it to uncheck/disable.
- Click 'Ok' to close the 'LAN (LAN) settings' window.
- Click 'Ok' to close the 'Internet Options' window.
Now, check if you are able to connect to Internet Explorer.

Editing photos using Windows 7
I have A 6500 OffficeJet more printer and PC using Windows 7. I liked the Image area on old computer XP but HP will download it to Windows 7. Someone said to download the Photosmart Essential software. I did, but instead got HP Photo Creations. He did many things, but not to change the images. I also read to download Picasa. I did and got it over some malware called SnapDo. Photo montages Picasa well (best eye removal pink I saw)., but it is difficult to find photos. HP makes good software to edit images for Windows 7? Do you have any other suggestions for me?
I found how to add pictures, editing and doing projects such as collages. I need to explore more Photo Creations. He has a little help with the program and I can e-mail to the staff of creations for additional help if necessary. Thank you.

I think I have spyware or malware on my laptop
