• Since the upgrade to FF9.0, Yahoo Messenger no longer works. Who's going to fix this?

  After the upgrade to 9.0 Yahoo chat messenger is no longer in effect. The tab flashes that someone has sent a message, but there is no window to open it. Also cannot choose a contact to open and start a new chat.

  I filed a few reports with Yahoo - this was their most recent response. My answer to them is that I don't want to download another browser.

  As long as uninstall you it, you can reinstall as often as you want.

  You can also try to run the cleanup tool from Adobe that you can download from here http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html. It may be a problem with the uninstallation.

  Don't know why but at random times no my cell decide to go directly to vibrate. I have my phone always on the LOUD profile and its fine one second but the next, I won't hear any texts, emails, facebooks, calls, alarms, ect. It will vibrate only and only vibrate. I literally take the battery out to restart the system to return to normal.

  Ive got many phones from rogers (all of the same brand) and it happens to all of them, rogers is to cheap to actually give me a new iphone because they are rotten bastards and cheap as F * anyway any suggestions on how to solve the problem?

• Who at Microsoft is responsible for WMP12?

  WMP12 has a number of important issues of implementation.  WMP10 was more or less 'good', but WMP 11 and 12 have introduced significant deficiencies and mistakes.

  If you use a piece of software like Mp3tag to sweep all the MP3s in 'My music' (where 'everything' is more than 50,000), he finished the task in about a minute, providing a search interface where you can sort & show all these data.  On the other hand, if one changes a single MP3 tag and tries to get WMP12 to update its views, the process takes minutes or more, crashes MP3 files and absurdly broken data does display or any.

  If you rename an MP3 that was in the data of WMP12 library and then try to play it, WMP12 says that the file does not exist, but it removes the library.  It's a little strange, because there seems to be no real reason so he could hold onto data that cannot be exported or used otherwise.  But, if you can open the file renamed in WMP12 and it plays, WMP12 displays the data label in the file, but do not add it to the WMP12 library, even if the file is obviously in the right location to be part of the library.

  WMP9 and WMP10 used to be awesome, because they could manage large collections.  A few other MP3 players would actually bribe their database if you had more than 20,000 MP3s. But now, the bar is higher.  WMP12 must not only fail to corrupt its own databases - which he apparently can't - but it must be fast, pretty and functional.

  WHY are there no view album covers under the gaze of the artist?  Not simply a view that has left and all tracks, but a nice view just the covers, as can be found in so many other interfaces now.

  WHY in of WMP12 re - size each incoming album art image 200 x 200?  And why he sometimes tries to play games with an art file in the folder that contains the files instead of putting art in the MP3s themselves?

• Guests who will remain not connected to vCenter

  4.1.0 ESXi and vCenter 4.1.0

  We have four hosts in a cluster, two have no problem while the other two will remain not connected to vCenter.  I checked all that in the article 1003409 (http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1003409) and found no problem.

  Four servers are IBM x 3690 X 5 and all are connected to the same four SAN LUNS, the only difference is that for problem servers management interfaces are on a different subnet, but the port UDP 902 is open between them and the vCenter server.  I can reconnect manually, but they will be disconnected again in a minute or two.

  Does anyone have ideas beyond what is in the article 1003409 that I can check?

  Make sure you have port 902 open TCP , as well as UDP.

  Regarding the 902 TCP port:

  vCenter Server system uses to send data to managed hosts. This port should not be blocked by the firewall between the server and the host or between hosts

  If the problem persists, I would try to remove the host to vCenter inventory, add new. Who's going to reinstall agents vCenter on the hosts.

  EDIT: This particular excerpt was taken from the entrance to vCenter 5.x, but the same is true for vCenter 4.x (it is high on the table). To be clear, you 902 TCP and UDP open both vcenter for hosts, host to vCenter and host to host.

• Where are we and where are we going to go?

• Two-finger scroll is no longer work

  Updated for Sierra yesterday. Two fingers scrolling is no longer works. Called AppleCare. They suggested that I re - install. That didn't fix it. (Already zapped the P - RAM... and did another reboot with some keys used.)

  The next option that was recommended was to delete my preferences file. Who's going to lose ALL my connections and other preferences so I'm not ready to do it again.

  Have not seen other examples of what is happening (except here which mentions three fingers slide...)

  Solved. Unchecking and then scrolling control in the accessibility preferences window (mouse and Trackpad, Trackpad options) did it. Yay.

• How can I force "toolbars" on the pages scroll up and away when I scroll the page?

  Many pages have one or more toolbars or widgets that are still locked into place at the top of the web page when you scroll from top to bottom. How can I disable their ability to do so? It is so annoying when shit like that takes 1/3 of your screen and leaves so much less space available for what you're trying to read. The attached picture is for a particularly annoying page that is typical of how mentally disabled web developers at ESPN wasting your screen space: sports.espn.go.com/nfl/standings has * THREE * of those annoying widgets: one disappears when you scroll down to the low enough, but you're stuck with the other two down any distance you highlight.

  Many web pages make the problem worse by putting also contained locked into place at the bottom of the page, reducing more usable display area - shit like that should not be visible until you scroll at the bottom of the web page.

  You can optionally use the extension Stylish add some site specific rules to hide these items, but who's going to hide them completely.

• keeps locking iPad

  I helped an elderly lady whose locks iPad anytime and we will reset it using iTunes. The only way that I know who's going to get there is to put the code incorrectly four-digit six times. After the last reset, we decided that it would be easy not to require a password but it is now locked again. What else can she do to cause this?

  My apologies for the little it is, but if you look under sharing and permissions in the left window, you will see that reading and writing is on for me (benson of grants), which is insane, because I can't obviously always save my movie on this disc. Also, on a side note, is not only the traffic, I'm not allowed to do it for anywhere on my computer for some reason not more, it's really confusing, but the disc is the thing that worried me.

  It frustrates me a lot, since now, I did nothing to help me solve the problem. I looked around, quite a bit here, but have not really found a whole bunch to work with, I tried to watch "Repair disk permissions", but there is no error message. I'm really retarded to get this movie made, and especially to my friend who is going to be master it, so help would be very appreciated. Thank you!

  Thank you for joining the communities Support from Apple! Looks like you have a problem of Apple's music synchronization for your iPhone. I know how it is certainly important, it syncs on all your devices as well. You can start by signing out and in your Apple ID. Remember who's going to remove the music you downloaded for offline listening, so you will need to download the music on your phone again by clicking on the small icon of clouds in the playlist.

  If you log out and back in and the music is always absent from the reading list, see this article which talks about how sync Apple music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and your computer. More precisely:

  Turn on iCloud music library

  With your subscription to Apple's music, you can synchronize your music by turning on iCloud music library on all of the devices on which you want to use Apple music.

  On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

  1. In the Apple music app, press profile icon and log in with the same Apple ID and password you use for your subscription of Apple's music.
  2. Since the homescreen of your device, go to settings > music and turn on iCloud music library.
     
  3. If you have music on your device, you will be asked if you want to merge or replace the music. Choose merge to add the songs currently on your device to your iPhoto.* If you select replace, music on your device is replaced by your library of Apple's music.

• Downloaded and installed FF 36.0.3 but there are no release notes so is this a legitimate installation?

  Hi Jeff Barry, yes it's a legitimate update - annual pwn2own Conference has just ended and firefox 36.0.3 who's going to fix the fallout from that.
  I guess that the priorities were providing security patches to users as quickly as possible instead to have notes publication entirely in place first (they will follow soon no doubt).
