  Sometimes it of not possible to connect the wireless network adapter to the router because of the compatibility.
  I have a similar problem with my second notebook at home. The card is compatible with A and B WLan standard but the router support B and G.
  The WLan card is not able to connect to my router.

  However, I think that if the laptop recognizes your wireless LAN, it should be able to connect it. You can try to update the WLan driver and additional test with encryption settings disabled.

However show sie sich kulant EIB so kurzen "Laufzeiten" von ein paar Stunden wie bei dir. Versuche den Support Deines Providers by Telefon zu Berge.

Email or social media (Twitter/Facebook) will give a notification. Text messages and other functions of system will sound Notification by itself or with vibrate if selected. But I solved this problem by: - antivirus uninstall - uninstall the card NETWORK Marvell driver - reboot - disable NETWORK card in the BIOS - turn off PC - turn on the NETWORK adapter in the BIOS - install the downloaded in another PC Marvell NIC driver - antivirus install now the NETWORK card works again!   I had re format and re install windows xp but now my network connection does not work.  I have no IP address, even if my router and the pc are on DHCP. Device Manager tells me that the controller Ethrnet on the motherboard has no drivers, but I can't find a driver.  Any thoughts appreciated.

  What model of laptop do you have? Do you use the laptop with the original operating system preinstalled?

  Open Device Manager and check if the LAN CSA is listed and enabled correctly.

  Go to mobile network settings and search again for the 3G network.
  I had a similar problem with my Android Smartphone and my o2 provider
  I started to search for new, so I chose the O2 again and then I could solve the problem.

  In the case where this does not work for you, recommend you to reset the default Tablet (factory settings)

  I would say it is not a Vista problem or a Realtek driver problem because I have a Vista and Realtek WLan card and I can connect properly to my router.
  In you case, I would say that there is a compatibility problem between the router and the Vista because as you said the laptop can connect properly using Linux.

  Windows Vista on my DELL laptop at home does not work with my new NETGEAR modem wireless broadband 3 G.  The modem appears in the list of networks, I just errors like: unable to connect, cannot diagnose,... Both devices work perfectly well together when connected by cable but not wireless.  Interestingly, my laptop work, also a DELL but runing Windows XP, works very well with the NETGEAR modem.

  I went through the NETGEAR troubleshooting guide, doing everything from changing the types of security to manually enter the MAC address of the laptop.  I ran to the ground with the NETGEAR support engineers, and they said check with Microsoft.  I am convinced that it has something to do with Vista.  Any ideas?
