  Technical issues do not belong in the forum Feedback response so I moved your post to the WIndows XP "Netwoking and online" Outlook Express forum where questions are handled.

  Outlook and Outlook Express are completely different products and are not related except for the names.

  The problem you describe product generally when you have not defined thte option to authenticate your outgoing SMTP server.  If you click on tools > accounts, select your account, then click Properties, you should see a Servers tab.  This tab is a check box labeled "my server requires authentication".  Check it out.  Then check the settings button to the right.  You'll see two radio buttons.  From the top, labeled 'Use same settings as my mail server outgoing' is generally the right to choose.

  To check this, simply connect the laptop to an external monitor (from a friend, parent,...) If nothing wrong with the external monitor, which means that the screen of the laptop is faulty, if the video card is faulty.   I am very new to the family "BlackBerry" but experiencing problems with the Desktop Manager software. I have a Blackberry "BOLD", use Desktop Manager 4.7 v (latest version) and Outlook 2003. I can set up and synchronize with Outlook calendar, tasks, Memo, and contacts very well, but the 'box' above is to "Reconcile the emails" is grayed out and I cannot select.

  Surely this is a basic function - that is to reconcile my Outlook Inbox with my Inbox BlackBerry "BOLD" combined? No idea why it doesn't work for me - it is a setting of Outlook or a Desktop Manager problem? Very frustrating! Any help gratefully received.

  I just got my first BlackBerry (storm) and this is my first post on the forums.  I read around a lot and found pieces of this problem but no definitive answer (which I understand).  So, I know it's a delicate subject, but really hope that someone can help you.

  FYI, I use Windows Vista and Outlook 2003 with the connector Outlook synchronize my e-mail, contacts and calendar on my Windows Live Hotmail account.

  I installed the Desktop Manager software V.4.7 and crossed to set up > sync and selected Outlook for Contacts.  The wizard all seems to work OK but then when I press "Finish" I get the error message ' file is does more part of the system data source or the couldnot folder is located.

  I partially understand the idea that my Contacts are not in Outlook, they are in my hotmail/live account.  My question is how can I work around this problem and import my contacts to the BlackBerry?  It will not accept an exported .pst file or can it link directly to hotmail?

  (On the basis of the advice on the forum), I found is you go into Outlook and adjust the settings of your e-mail account to send incoming emails into "Personal folder" instead of "* @hotmail.co.uk ' then he manages to pass the error message, however, I found no data calendar or contact in my outlook personal folders for BlackBerry to synchronize with a time that I did."

  Just in case anyone else has this problem, I got a work around (not a solution, but it works).  In Outlook, go to Contacts - export to file and select: separation by comma (Windows). CSV file - save it to your PC.

  Then open a Yahoo mail account (if you have not already one) go to Classic view, Contacts and to the right of the screen, there is an option to import/export.  Select the location of the CSV file you saved on your PC and transfer it on Yahoo.

  You can now go through the DM Assistant and select sync with Yahoo.  It is ideal to add contacts to the phone for the first time.  Don't forget to make sure that everything is up-to-date and complete in Outlook Contacts before export to the CSV file.

  If you want to add contacts to the future, the best way is to add to Outlook first and then go through the process of exporting the CSV file again - this will ensure that all records are the same.  Although if you wanted too, you can also export from BB in Yahoo, then in Outlook as Yahoo also exported contacts to a CSV file.

  I have weird problems my BB Bold 9700 to sync with my Outlook 2003 calendar on a Toshiba Portege laptop - would appreciate any advice.

  A synchronization via BB Desktop Manager (version 6). Everything was working fine until I changed my e-mail address, deleted my old account on the phone and put the new account.

  Emails sync mostly OK (via an IMAP server), although the strange remains on the phone, even when it is no longer on the server.

  However, the real problem I have is with the calendar. If I enter a new appointment in Outlook and sync, it appears on the phone without problem. But him Resync, it disappears from Outlook and rest on the phone. Appointments that were there before me changing e-mail sync fine and I can update these and change to stay after the synchronization. I can enter the appointments on the phone and they synchronize and stay. Frustrating!

  Have tried to reinstall Office Manager - no joy. Now consider nuking the phone as well and start again.

  Yes, you are on the right track!

  Most likely, what happened when you deleted your old e-mail account he had 62 calendar records. When the CICAL has been removed from this account calendar items had no association and have been moved to the device default calendar. The records are kept but don't will not sync up to what you associate with your carl@work account.

  Outlook 2003 SP3 has been synchronized with my curve perfectly until a few weeks ago.  Suddenly the clock wants to remove all my recurring appointments in my calendar in Outlook - hundreds of them.  I opted for no synchronization.  After reviewing the forums, I found a recommendation to delete all files from my Intellisync folder and try again.  So I did, and then resync the value upward my Desktop Manager and started around.  Amen - he wanted to remove all my recurring appointments, so I advanced and accepted the additions to my Outlook.  Now I have duplicates of all appointments on my BB!  My vision is OK, but it did not get my BB calendar additions.  Sheesh!

  Want to a * beep * (who really does not go through and remove all duplicates!), I would of course like to some lawyers!  Thank you in advance.

But I have problems with:-Blackberry world isn't download ANY application "an error has occurred processing your request" - the camera when flips horizontally do not reverse the camera image and use that half of the screen - the camera is not actually taking pictures. Touch screen or the volume buttons does nothing. -When I try to open programs (go docs > open documents... nothing.)   I downloaded the new facebook application for Blackberry. He created a FACEBOOK CALENDAR on my blackberry.  So now, I have a calendar under my work email, facebook and my personal hotmail.

  Facebook events have been added to the FACEBOOK calendar but when I sync my blackberry with Outlook only items under the work email address are syncronised with Outlook. I would like to synchronize the calendar entries facebook and my work with my Outlook calendar calendar entries.

  I tried to search similar questions others maybe, but did not find this particular problem.

  Yes I saw the part on the implementation of the facebook calendar. It doesn't give me an option to choose my default calendar, just went ahead and created his own little calendar of Facebook. Very confusing. I don't think he can do what I need it to do and will just have to keep an eye on the next update and see if it solves the problem.
