  • Excessive number of counterfeit Sites are getting blocked

I started to receive Yahoo statements often arise in a new tab in Firefox. Also several times when I click a link on a website, the tab that opens is blocked as a counterfeit site. If I come back and click on the link even, finally I get the expected real link. According to Tools/Options/content, I turned on the popups blocker. It all started when I've "updated Firefox" at the request of a popup (stupid, I know). My question is how to get back to normal? I reinstalled Firefox from Mozilla site, but it does not solve my problem. This all started about 4 days ago and may have been connected with a Yahoo site hack. The 'Help' tab, says I'm under Firefox 26.0.

You updated Firefox because you clicked a link on a web page that tells you to put up-to-date?

You should never respond to such a request because it will infect you with malware.

Don't update Firefox via help > on or by downloading Firefox from the official Mozilla servers.

Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.

Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

All of these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.

  • Virus MS "Victim of counterfeiting" message

I bought a Toshiba Satellite laptop about 18 months ago nine, a store of grand in Munich, I live in England.
It has a hologram MS Certificate of Authenticity on the back. It happens suddenly with messages saying: I'm a 'victim of counterfeiting"and Windows XP is not genuine.
I can't use the recovery CD ROM, because who will cancel patches I've been downloading from the Toshiba site to get the equipment working properly (DVD management, pilot of the screen and the power were the questions).

How to stop this annoying Virus MS?

    Hi Alex,

Normally, the operating system comes with a new laptop computer has an OEM license, which means you do not need to register the product with Microsoft. However, it is possible that the provided operating system is always false, so I recommend you to check that your system on the site of Microsoft validation on http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/default.mspx?displaylang=en

Interestingly, the OEM license allows the reseller to provide Windows XP in the national language of the country in which the laptop is sold, so that your system must be installed in German. If you have an English language installation, then it is quite possible that it is indeed counterfeit, and the Microsoft Genuine Advantage software will identify this situation.

    Good luck

  • How can I identify targets canon counterfeiting on Ebay?

I bought excellent condition Canon F1N off Ebay; and bought several lenses for it. I think that a lens can be a counterfeit (the lens has no discussions on this that will accept a 55mm filter). Where can I check the authenicity of my equipment? Thanx. M

The FD 35-70mm f/4 uses the 52 mm filter threads.  The filter threads is not in front of the lens.

The filter threads and the front element move inside the front mount of externally. A filter, you will need to zoom to 35mm and concentrate to 0.5 m to get the front part of the goal to come forward enough to reach the threads.

The original lens cap is a rubbery plastic barrel cap that fit quite snugly on the outer lens barrel.

Here are two photos: one without a filter and the other with a filter 52mm installed.

You use a license key in Volme - and this key usage has been limited to one region, probably because the owner of the key or MS has noticed that the key was abused, but the owner has too many devices in this area to be able to easily change the key or the operating system on all, so they opted for the more expensive option.

If you are a member of this organization, contact your system administrator - if not, then your installation is a counterfeit.

It seems that your machine came with a version of Windows installed - for which version and edition of Windows is allowed, according to the COA sticker on the case?
