Software provided

Hello, I have a note from microsoft 2003 is already installed on my new laptop, I put on my another desktop at home, however it did not come with a CD, but maybe in the recovery disc, can anyone tell if I can copy a note to transfer it to my other computer?
Thank you
Deb

Hello Deb

There is no way to do it. The recovery DVD, there is an image that can be installed on your device and it is not possible to use some individual software components.

Note software is a gift for Toshiba users who use just with the original OS. As far as I know, this software is not free but you can install the demo version. Check this page http://www.microsoft.com/office/onenote/prodinfo/default.mspx.

Good bye

  • Serial RS232 between existing Instrument and reading software provider

Hello.  I have an instrument with software supplier for the acquisition of data from the instrument to a PC through serial RS-232 communication.  I would like to acquire data in LabVIEW instead of via the provider software.  The seller has given virtually no support to help me find a way to communicate with the instrument - they offer only their software as the only solution.

I'm trying to find a way that I can transfer data with provider software and basically understand the format of the communications and the commands that are required to send to the device.  Two things that seem like possibilities are:

    (1) use a type of "spyware" or "monitor" for serial ports to capture and display the communications that occur between the instrument and the PC/software.

    (2) connect the COM1 port, from my PC (by which the software provider would communicate) to COM1 port on my computer and the insrument for a 3rd COM port on my computure.  Use hyperterminal or LabVIEW to read it as the instrument and software try to pass each other by reading iteratively to a port and then in writing as to the other port.

No one has tried this before?  Any suggestions on who could work or work better/easier, or any other ideas?  I don't even know the port required parameters (baud, etc.), so I need to guess at those if I tried option (2), above.  I've never used any software serial port "monitor" before, so I don't really know what to use or else it might work for option (1).

    Thank you.

    Hello

As mentioned, Microsoft Portmon's looks like your best bet.  Here is a link to where it can be downloaded:

  • Software provided with Windows7homepremium

I recently bought a new desktop computer with windows7homepremium. I was told it has not come with any software but windows. No Works Suite, Media Player no, no burning software, anything extra that was taken for granted for years. If I buy a computer of windows 7homepremium now (July 2015) should I buy a microcomputer and a disc burning program etc, etc?

Windows 7 has built optical disc burning functions base. Insert a blank disc and it becomes a location to save files as virtual destination, the scene only extra is once the complete collection you select to burn to the disc. It will also compile compressed zip files in Solution Explorer.

Work was abandoned for many years and it has always been the decision of system manufacturers to include this, it has never been a part of Windows itself. Windows Media Player is included by default as it is a basic form of Wordpad Word treatment.

Windows Live Essentials can be downloaded free Microsoft which includes Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, and a number of other extras not included on the basic disk:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-GB/Windows-Live/Essentials

The bundles added by manufacturers has been entirely dependent on what offers they hit upward with software developers, Microsoft never participated directly provide other than their own packages if the manufacturer wishes to. For example, a lot of PC include Microsoft Office but requires the additional purchase of a keycard with the computer to enable

Otherwise, the load of manufacturer has included 'extras' of dubious quality and value insofar as it is commonly known as bloatware or JunkWare and almost universally hated.

  • Re: Satellite A300D-11 t - how to install Windows and software provided?

    Hello
I have a Toshiba Satellite A300D-11 t (model: PSAK0E-00700DGE.) Due to the mistake of hard drive, hard drive has been formatted and I lost my OS. When I bought it two years ago, the laptop came with Windows Visa and other software. But I don't have any software CD this time except the mannual.

Please help me how can I have my Visa settings or factory of origin.
    Thank you
    Ben

    Hi Ben,

The problem is that you must create this disk with Windows and all the drivers/tools yourself if it of not given with the computer. This can be done with the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Media Creator who creates the Toshiba recovery disc. This disc contains a picture to factory settings (Windows with all the drivers and tools) and can be used to restore the factory settings every time.
So you need this disc to install Vista with the supplied software.

In any case, now it s too late and you need to order such a drive of Toshiba directly but it s not for free:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

Of course, you can install Windows on a normal disc of Microsoft, but then you must install all the drivers and tools yourself so recovery disk is the easiest way and pre-tested by Toshiba. ;)

  • What program to burn a data DVD, using the software provided on a 1900 Pavilion's?

    Usage: XP Service Pack 3

Hi, I'm trying to burn a disc of data on a 1900 Pavilion DVD and I do not know what program to use the suite provided with it.

InterVideo Home Theater etc is for the movies, but also Windows Movie maker.

Windows Media Center is not available because until now I can see on thr PC.

All the tips on the installed with PC suite or I need to install Nero etc?

    Thanks for your reply,

I guess I assumed that HP would have a package burning in their suite of packages. I don't know if she was there.

Just as a note of caution the program that I downloaded as it was suggested "Free Easy Burner" it came with a program of "Searchnu.com406" who hijacked my browser.

I removed it using the restore after searching the Internet for advice.

    Everything seems fine now.

I thank you again for your help and think that this topic is closed.

  • Atomic transaction / explanation atomicity for a layman and software provider

Can someone point me to a good blog that explains the concept of atomicity, as described here: atomicity (database systems) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article is a good start, but I was expecting something that went into the details, and I could not find such an article/blog myself. I just find more short definitions, or very short answers in other forums. A hope for a display detailed (and slightly longer) on this subject.

    Background:

It is not related to the Oracle itself, but in this case the software editor just happens to use Oracle. The problem is that the software contains several places where a single 'transaction user' contains several updates to the table, and the software does a 'validation' on each update instead of treating the entire operation as a single unit. For example: an inventory system that creates a "booking folder" on a point in the inventory. Software updates the record of the inventory table to have a quantity of 'reserved', performs a 'validation', send an email, then creates the record in the table of 'records' booking and emits a commit. If the process out craps on the sending of the e-mail... the item in the inventory table will be pasted into "reserved Qty.", but there is "no record of booking" against her, and therefore no way to 'release' to be 'stuck' in 'not reserved quantity'. The Publisher of the software this is blamed on the fact that the email could not be sent (for some reason any) and doesn't seem to understand that the 'right' thing to do would be to treat the entire transaction as a whole (it fully succeeds or fails completely). I would like something that I can show them who would do a good job of explaining this... And what a transaction like this should be treated together, regardless of any error that occurred during the process.

  • Driver Wireless Laser Mouse (PA3706E-1ET1) problem software on Windows XP

I have a Toshiba Wireless Laser Mouse PA3706E-1ET1 that gives a serious problem with the MouseDriver.EXE software provided on the CD with the mouse.

    * First release _ * _: when you install the driver on the CD I get an error message saying that they are not certified by Microsoft. The documentation that came with the mouse has an additive brochure that says about it and ignore that the software works without any problem.

    * _The issue_ *: with the mouse driver, I get a mouse icon in the windows taskbar and clicking on it will allow me to set up all the extra buttons running. Everything works very well at this point. The problem occurs when I try to shut down Windows (this is Windows XP) it will fail to finish. It seems to me close a few icons in the status bar, but then it stops. I can click on stop again and it still will not close. If I click with the right button on the mouse icon of toshiba in the windows taskbar and click EXIT in the drop-down menu, then shut down Windows and then stops. It seems that the mouse driver is to avoid a stop down. This is what is displayed in the event viewer:

    * _Third issue_ *: it is serious, I have Microsoft Virtual PC. When I launch and run any VPC I get a blue screen of death. The error is DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and the offending component is SysMouseFilterF3.sys.

If I uninstall the mouse driver that disappear from all of the above questions. The mouse works but not all buttons. Scrolling the mouse left + right, vertical and the back and buttons before work, but the parchment of horizontal tilt and two additional buttons do not work.

I can't find any mention to my model mouse on Toshiba or the Internet in general. Is there an updated driver for this mouse or in any way I can solve problems above without losing the functionality of the extra buttons?

Re: Toshiba Wireless Laser Mouse PA3706E-1ET1 (which is appears as 'Sysgration USB mouse' in hardware)

Yes, Andy, I have the same problems with this mouse. No driver updated (or even original) with a view to anywhere.

Called Toshiba - all they could suggest "just use the drivers on the CD" and unable to offer any other suggestions!
No drivers on PC World UK (seller) or Sysgration site or the other.

Author of the driver (info email the driver DLL) contacted but no response until now.
SysMouseFilterF3.sys does not seem to be the culprit because it causes a blue screen of death on the startup of the system.
In order to get the mouse to work I just uninstalled Sysgration drivers and delete the mouse in the hardware list.

Windows Xp then tried and it seems to work ok with driver default for Microsoft - but only right + left, scroll, front + rear, Alt + Tab appear to function.

Colleagues, it takes up to a new driver appears!
