SolidWorks 2014 EULA license agreement enforcement

Hello.

I'm the VDI system for a university administrator. We currently use Solidworks 2013 in a linked clone VMware VDI environment. We currently have an image yet which is pushed to a pool that many students could potentially use. These linked clones are assigned randomly, and whenever a user disconnects the linked clone is refreshed.  I received a mandate to remove all pop ups of all the programs installed on these images.

With the 2013 programme, it wasn't a problem. Acceptance of this EULA was not enough. When I pressed that the acceptance of the default via the sysprep image, and then each user to proceed on a linked clone will not get this prompt. Here is the registry key for the 2013 EULA of Solidworks, for example:

[HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-3201...\Software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2013\Security]

'Lic accepted contract '=' yes '.

With the installation of Solidworks 2014, however, this prompt agreement license has changed with regard to the way in which the poster acceptance of the user registry. After a few mines registry, I could locate which, in my view, are the keys that affect these guests. Here are these keys:

[HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-3201...\Software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2014\Security]

"EULA Accepted 2014 SP2.0 TEST-LFSW-1 onfire247" = 'Yes '.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2014\Security]

"EULA Accepted 2014 SP2.0 TEST-LFSW-1 onfire247" = 'Yes '.

Looking at these keys reveals the problem. TEST-LFSW-1 is the name of the computer generated from the test linked clone group and onfire247 is the connection test I use to access the pool. In other words, if there is always a new computer name or user name, it invites the popup again and add a second entry to the list. Given the number of students we have who could potentially access, and the number of machine names as possible, pre-loading of the registry keys will not solve this.

Does anyone have a work around for this?

I tried to add generic names for these specific fields without success. I have also considered scripting key volatile environment to VMware which shows the username, but that will not help with the name of the computer. In addition, I don't think that the option will work because the HKEY_USER key can change.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mpryor You rock!

It turns out that the resolution of this was much more boring that I first thought. In any case, what you said made me push it in the right direction.

I found myself adding as a batch file that runs during the local Group Policy logon script. The contents of this file are:

Reg add "HKCU\Software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2014\Security" /v "EULA Accepted 2014 SP2.0% ComputerName %%d username%" / t REG_SZ/d 'Yes' "."

Reg add "HKCU\Software\Dassault Systemes\3DVIAComposer\6.12\Preferences" /v "EulaAccepted 2014 SP2.0% ComputerName %%d username%" /t REG_DWORD /d '1' "»

Reg add "HKCU\Software\eDrawings\e2014\General" /v "ShowLicense 2014 sp02% ComputerName %username%" /t REG_DWORD /d '0' "»

Reg add/v "HKCU\Software\srac\Cosmos/Works\COSMOSWorks 2014\Current Version" "EULA Accepted 2014 SP2.0% ComputerName %%d username%" / t REG_SZ/d 'Yes' "."

This will affect all three components of Solidworks 2014.

In my case, it happened in my machine Windows 8.1 update 1

    Here's how I solved it:

    + Go to:

    \AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE[YOU-TWEAK-NAME]C:\Users\

    + Remove the file:

    _LicenseAgreement.XML

Starting your Adobe application that has pop up problem before, "Software License Agreement" will burst once again, but after clicking on "Accept", it will stop to reappear

Hope it will work for you guys, at least it worked for me.

    Note:

    * The _LicenseAgreement.xml file will be automatically recreated after the first 'Software License Agreement' arise and accepted.

    * Unfortunately, you will need to accept this agreement pop for all the app installed Adobe.

I met the same problem in Adobe Dreamweaver CM³.

    It's the solution I used:

    GoTo

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

    Search _LicenseAgreement.xml

rather than delete the file, open it with notepad ++ and add the LEID Application and the version of your adobe product.

  • Download of signed the license agreement (end-user EULA)

I bought the new version of the Standard Design CS6, student license at the College Bookstore. On the back of the package redirects the user to accept the license agreement to

    http://www.Adobe.com/go/EULAs

I've selected the PDF for CS6 and read it (it contains many pages, because it covers several languages)

I used the "original location" button on the tab "I need to sign. When I use the "Send signed document" button, I get the following error message: «the file size is too big or too many pages and cannot be sent using Adobe Echosign.» Please send the file using an alternative mechanism. "

    What to do next?

You don't need to sign anything. Simply, you agree to the EULA by using the software, as planned.

  • License agreements don't is not displayed during installation

I created and installer in LabVIEW 2011 (64-bit OS with Windows 7).  I added an agreement (rtf) license to my Installer file and it included as indicated below.

The setup.ini file includes a reference to the file and I confirmed that the file exists in the license folder:

When I test the installer on my development PC or PC target, my custom license agreement does not display.  I have enabled boxes in the setup.ini file to display the standard EULA of NEITHER, but that will not be displayed.

My setup.exe file is dated from 21/06/2011.  I checked the previous installers who worked properly and setup.ini files looked like but the setup.exe is dated 01/09/2010.

    All advice is appreciated...

    Hi, SJT,.

It seems that it is a known problem when using LabVIEW 2011 on Windows XP.

The suggested workaround is to open the setup.ini of the distribution of construction MDF (Installer) file and rename the section [LicenseTypes] [LicenseTypesX]. Note that you must rename the [LicenseTypes] section, do not LicenseTypeN where N is a number.

  • Empty Adobe software license agreement window

I uninstalled an earlier version of Acrobat Pro. I then installed, through the creative cloud app, the new version of Acrobat Pro XI. The installation process was an error so I clicked "Retry" it appeared to be successful. However at the launch of the Acrobat software I get a license agreement window of adobe software that is empty except for the lower part of the window: by clicking 'Accept' does nothing. By clicking on 'Leave' farm in unexpected ways.

I tried to uninstall this application through the creative application of cloud, but "Uninstall" is grayed out. the application has a green check mark by the application Adobe Acrobat XI.

    Thanks Mylenium.

I found the solution which worked, but it's here:

Solution 1: Panel out of creative application Cloud

    1. On the EULA, click on exit.
    2. Launch the Adobe Creative Cloud application.
    3. Sign out of the application. For more information, see the topic sign, sign | Creative desktop application Cloud.
    4. Launch Acrobat and accept the EULA.
    5. When you are prompted, click on this software license and sign in with your subscription to creative cloud.

    Hi Saviomfx,

It is a known issue with Acrobat XI

Issue: Mac OS only. The launch, a blank screen of the EULA is displayed, that cannot be accepted and Acrobat does not run. This problem can appear if you have any of the installed products of CCM or Creative Suite and you tried to install Acrobat XI from a different source.

Solution: Launch any other product which is part of the CCM or Creative suite. Then, turn it off by choosing Help > deactivate. Quit the application. Then start Acrobat and accept the EULA. Then, for CCM subscription product, launch it and choose the license of this software to reactivate the product of the CCM. If a CS app, launch it and turn it back on.

    Please visit: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/known-issues-acrobat-xi-reader.html

    Or you can try this:

Go to Applications-> Utilities-> Adobe Installers-> Adobe Acrobat X-> remove Acrobat X using the application uninstaller.

Relaunch Acrobat XI and try to accept the EULA.
