Some details on caching in firefox

Basically, I want to have all the cache in RAM instead of my SSD.
[I have disabled "disk cache", do I have to disable 'hide offline' too?]
1 setting browser.cache.memory.capacity - 1, I noticed that he was staring at 32768 KB. Would it automatically increased when I look 5 to 10 videos in different tabs so that I can return and transmits video without burffering again?
2. If it does not automatically increase the size of the memory cache, maybe I put about 2 GB in browser.cache.memory.capacity? Do that woould not book a 2GiB for firefox when running, right?... say, if firefox is running with 500 MB of RAM caching, and only 1.5 GB is on the left, then other programs can use this memory too, no?

There is also a disk set for the plugins cache. You can take this right click on the video and changing global settings in the Flash Player.

    Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

    Hello

My U460 went out of order because that some details on the motherboard is burned. I wrote about it more than a month ago, but no one answered, probably because it was a comment in an old thread.

I would therefore ask assistance in the separate section.

I would be very happy if someone can give me the detail type that is marked as PQ601 on the motherboad so I will try to buy and replace it by myself. The melted retail so I can't read it is striking. Please note that my motherboard is one with a graphics chip from nVidia on it and this detail is not present on other boards. (See their photos on eBay). Retail is under keyboard - simply unscrew the three screws marked a pictogram of keyboard in order to remove.

  • caching in firefox

Why is that every time I make a change to a Web site, I have deliberately refresh the page in firefox to see the changes. Is it possible to fix this? I want people to be able to see the changes I make without having to press the Refresh button.

    .oO (Kaklz)

    > You need to make it work with all browsers, dude. When you change the site, the

It depends on the configuration of the browser and on the server pΘrigΘe which
can control the behavior of caching in part by sending Cache-

  • I accidentally deleted the cache of Firefox and lost a little ins diary. How can I get back them?

Yesterday, I followed a prompt to update Firefox, my screen has changes, before I could click a left upper tab for bookmarks, now it comes from the top to the right via a button. Can I go back to the previous layout?

I created 4 GB RAM (4 GB of my RAM is now a hard Local drivem who has reading speeds get almost 400MBps) using software Salam ( http://memory.dataram.com/products-and-services/software/ramdisk ). I have installed firefox in this drive to increase its performance. But until I put my cache to this player, I can't do everything more quickly than before. I am a heavy user. 4 Dashlane password manager 3

    Hello

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
    • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
    • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    • Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:

This solve your problems? Please report to us!

    Thank you.

  • Why does take so long to clear the Firefox cache in Firefox 22?

When I clear the cache, now it takes about 30 seconds. My Mac crashes after clicking "Clean now", and sometimes Firefox will crash.

If Firefox detects that it crashed, it invalidates the cache and does not use its content. If you clear the cache after an accident also causes an accident - at a time when the cache is very rarely used - files may be damaged. Please see message of cor - el to the subject to physically delete files.

  • Where the cache of Firefox videos? (I checked the Cache foler. Isn't there)

The FireFox' disk cache foler is set to D:\Cache (I put it so in about: config).

I have cleared the cache disk, watched a YouTube video (almost 2 minutes long), and then looked in D:\Cache. But the video I had seen wasn't there! (I found two. SWF files. But their size was less than 250K. And standalone SWF players couldn't play. Therefore, they cannot be YouTube videos).

    So, where Firefox hide videos?

I tried several versions of Firefox (4.01, 5.0, 6.01, 7.0b2 and 9.01). Only version 9.01 puts videos on the disk cache.

    Thank you, guys.
