  There is a difference between "deleted" and forgotten, as the particular user account is password protected or it is not.

  If this is not applicable and you forgot, you need to reinstall the operating system.

• Help reset Admin password

  I apologize for reposting this topic when I saw she responded a few times, but I have concerns about responses that have been posted.

  I have windows vista home, which came before install on my Dell computer.  I have only one user account that I did as an administrator account.  Last night, I changed my password and now I can not connect.  I have not created a password reset disk.  I have the vista install disc that came with my computer.

  I saw a post here which says to install some program to reset the password, but it does not guarantee if it damage the computer.  The link is http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/. I hesitate to load my computer using this prgram reset my password.

  Is there a way to reset the admin password?  Is to reinstall vista a better option, and if so someone can post a link to a thread that explains how to reinstall vista?  Thanks in advance for any help.

  I would like to place a "Forgot password" option to the windows logon screen and point to a script that connects to the AD and reset the password, so that the user can reset the password itself with some security checks.

  For some reason, I was prompted to change my administrative password.  I changed and forgot it.  I am trying to reset the password, but I do not have a reset disk/flash drive, and it is there no CD-ROM/DVD-ROM on the computer.  There is an administrator account and a personal account on the computer.  Is it possible to reset the password?

  Sorry, I should have removed a few additional references CD in my recipe. Here it goes again - it's just like before. Your challenge will be to make the flash startup disk. You will probably need the help of a computer-savvy friend.

  1. put your BIOS so that it uses a USB device as its primary boot device.
  2 start the computer with your repair Windows 7 USB flash drive. Here's the recipe to make one:

  If you have lost your 'admin' password, it can be recovered using the account "pwadmin" as shown in the following link:

  If you have lost your password to "pwadmin" so, you will need to open a TAC case and get an ISO image of "DMS pwadmin 5.1 reset" through TAC. You can then start the machine with the CD provided to reset the password to "pwadmin", and then sign in as 'pwadmin' and reset the password "admin" was from there.

  Here you go:

  1. Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
  2. Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
  3. Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
  4. Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
  5. Select 'Repair' when prompted.
  6. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
  7. Configure Windows to a point before you changed the password.
  8. Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key.

  I think that you read correctly... re-read the Workaround"" section. He said nothing to do anything to your GMail account instead, you must follow the instructions, log into your BIS account (from a PC or your BB... it will be much easier to use a PC well) and activate the automatic redirection of your @bb to your Gmail account.   It is very strange indeed... with only 2 causes possible I think.

  (1) your e-mail (on your PC) application blocking the link provided in the email... a lot of apps email will do that and sometimes you have to replace them. If you have another interface to use (for example, webmail interface, GMail and Outlook), then try the other and see if that helps. According to the messaging environment (for example, private corporate e-mail system), it is also possible that some bridge along the trail is stripping on the necessary link for safety.

  (2) the installation of e-mail to reset is actually broken, and enamel does not contain what it is supposed to. If this is the case, then it requires a formal attention to the RIM. The only way to achieve this is for you to contact the Association and to degenerate the RIM of your case.

  A friend is not-very-techno asked me some tips. She had a hotmail account and for some reason any could not access it on his new iphone. She tried to enter her password, but I was told that it had been changed when she didn't. She tried as much as she understood how doing this before you ask me to nothing does not.
