Some of my pieces went invisible!

Basically, after the last update, some of my albums went invisible kind. at first, I thought they were deleted. but then I went into the folder of the respective to discover that they are still there. In addition, I tried to get these songs in iTunes. Apparently, they are still in iTunes, but I don't always see their album. Tried to click on files - they still do not appear in iTunes (they appear on this bar on top, but that's all). Some of these albums are custom compilations, while others are bought on the iTunes Store. What the Hay? How can I make them completely visible once more?

  • My Flash is some of my making it invisible bitmap images. Any ideas?

I created a flash game. Some of my bitmap images that have been copied from images online in Flash are invisible when you test the Flash animation. However, they are normal in trying to edit them in Flash. They have worked before and I don't know what I did to prevent them from working. It is only the images created outside of Flash that do, apparently, although some images from other sources are working normally.

A bitmap is also being turned into a black box the size of the bitmap image, I don't know why either.

    Any ideas, anyone?

This happens a bit in several products.

For example, to copy an image with transparency of Photoshop and paste it into Flash (not more transparency). Several programs have limited the Clipboard feature.

Although Photoshop shouldn't really have this problem. GIMP can stick an image copied in transparency and stick it in perfectly good Flash.

The difficulty for me has always been, never copy and paste image data directly. Save the image to your disk, then recorded the import file. This should work much better for you. This avoids the Clipboard entirely.

  • Invisible files? Why do some of my files become invisible?

I create a file in InDesign. Save it by creating a new folder in creative cloud. Work on the file. Record. Make a PDF and send to the client. Customer has revisions. The file disappeared! When I search finder with the name of the file, it shows that this is exactly where I taped. I can open, edit, save a new version, make a new PDF. But when I navigate in the finder to the place where is supposed to be that he's not here. It is as if the life of file instead I put it, but it became invisible unless I search the name of the file. I can't see also there on the web for creative cloud. Anyone else having this problem?

    Hello

First of all it is a bug and is documented at why I have 3 folders 'Creative Cloud Files'?

We have worked hard to ensure that this does not happen with future versions of creative cloud.

Looks like all your work in now in the Cloud Files (unknown) creative folder, you can copy it to the Creative Cloud Files regularly and keep the creative brief Cloud Files (unknown) as a return for the moment until your happy that all your work keeping them in the creative cloud.

  • Contours of the boxes like this one do not arise. In some forms, they are almost invisible.

Are there settings I can change to improve the visibility of these boxes?

Try to activate the 'do the focus rectangle thicker' accessibility. This option makes the rectangle around the currently selected item in the thicker dialog boxes, which makes it easier to see.

Panel-> Ease of Access Center-> under 'Making your computer easier to use', click on "Make the computer easier to see"-> under "Make the computer easier to see" and "Make things on the screen easier to see," click here to put a brake on the box before "making the focus rectangle thicker. -> Apply-> Save

  • Invisible pinned tab takes place

I encountered a bug in the new Firefox. I've pinned a tab, then by chance, I moved the tam in a new window (via context menu). New window opens with the tab this marking, but... it seems that the pinned tab went invisible, there's just an empty space that I can't do anything about. I can't click on it (in other words, it behaves like the rest of the free space on the tab bar) and he stays there after restart of Firefox (even if Firefox should start with a blank page only, this is what is was set to do).

Screenshot: http://abload.de/img/beztytuur5o1g.png - you can clearly see that there is an empty space. It is exactly as wide as a pinned tab. It appears in all open Firefox Windows.

Any ideas how to get rid of? It is not a problem, but a bit annoying all the same.

PS. I won't reset the Firefox settings, too many problems with all that upward adjustment.

I hope that we will not have to reset Firefox. It's a pain for all those who have a ton of extensions and have it configured as you wish. Personally, I use Sync 'save' my stuff. Given that I'm always changing computers, I can sync all my stuff in my new Firefox. Works like a charm!
Normally, Sync is not used to back up data, but I still use it.

You have a lot of extensions so that one of them could be the problem

You can try to start Firefox in Mode safe to see if Firefox works correctly without error? You can start Firefox in Mode safe below:

    • Windows/Mac: choose Help > restart with disabled modules
    • Linux: run firefox-safe-mode in the Terminal/Konsole

If Firefox opens fine with no problems, it is probably one of your extensions that is causing the problem. You can reactivate your modules one by one until you find the one that is causing the problem to be re-activated.

  • photos went to the Gallery of photos, but not in the folder of photos, why?

When I downloaded my photos from my camera SD card in my computer photos went just to the photo gallery, not to the folder of photos.  This is why when I try to send pictures via my gmail account I gives me only the choice of the photos in the pictures folder.  How can I get these photos in the photo gallery images folder?  I'm using vista Home premium and I've never had this problem before.

Thank you, for some reason any, he went to my folder of Tasmania.  Now, I found the photos how to make them out of this file and in another file?

Select (highlight) all the photos you want to move.

Right-click on the selected group and from the menu, choose copy.

Navigate to the folder you want the files saved in and right click / Paste.

Once you are "positive" that the files are copied safely in the new location
You can delete them from the previous location.

  • Since the change of my iGoogle homepage, I can't have the full YouTube with videos and choice alongside. What should do?

I had a freeze earlier today that require a system restore to a couple of previous days that solved... However, I found I could no longer access my iGoogle personalized homepage and so decided to install a "igHome home page" containing many of the same details. Some time later, I went to watch a video I watched on YouTube website and bookmark but discovered my YouTube Google account has been closed. So I opened a new account with Google allowing me access to YouTube, but only in a very average piece-meal: I could ask for a video, but the previous format with a list of choices in front of the video playing window was gone. I find the current format much less satisfying because I don't necessarily know what I want to watch until I consult the available choice list: trying to find how to return to the original format, but there is no indication to help me. I would be very grateful for any help to fix this.

  • Qosmio X 505-Q892 Desktop files and folders endangered

As indicated by the name of the thread I encounter a weird problem I've never seen before, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem before where the files and folders on the desktop and files and folders within other folders just goes completely invisible are however still usable.

Last night I had some strange lag on my computer so I restarted, everything loaded up just fine. I went to load Firefox and an excel spreadsheet to update on my spreadsheet work, and nothing went wrong. Save the file and went to open one that follows and everything in the folder disappeared. It's like everything just went invisible, I tried to move all my old files to the new folder on my computer from an external drive, and he said that all the files are still there. So I rebooted the computer again, and my entire office was empty except for my trash, so I did a system restore to see if it would be useful and done it in a way, but it only is half of the files and visible programs still. Half of my files are still invisible, the information is there and other programs can access the information, I just can't access it myself via records (if it makes no sense to me).

Now, I know the difficulty more easy for this would be completely clean up the computer and start again, but I have no boot disks and that you don't have any idea how to get half of the drivers and all back, I'm decent with computers, but this part goes beyond the knowledge that I have. Any person in charge of helping a confused man? @. @ I just want to get my files usable again as they are normally...

It looks like Windows 7 common bug where it is not refresh the list of files. If you press F5, you should see the files appear.

  • Just a little positive feedback

    Hi all!

I sent it to Toshiba already but I never found submission tech support that this does not really fit in. I don't know where else to post and since I took the time to write it I tell myself that I might as well put it here. If anyone knows the appropriate place for this please do not hesitate to share.

    Dear Toshiba

After the purchase of my new netbook Aspire One, I came across a difficult situation. This unit has the colossal capacity for one SSD 8 GB HDD which lead me to the conclusion that I needed an external hard drive to complete my new laptop. After some research, I quickly went out and bought your 500 GB Portable external hard drive. I then loaded all of value for me since my desktop computer and from the left for resettlement of 6 months at the other end of the world (New Zealand). Without the information in the cloud, my life digital (work of the University, photos, videos, e-mails, music) stands on this little piece of technology.

Less than a week of his arrival in the field very mountainous and beautiful of Queenstown, New Zealand; I pulled my laptop on the side to show a friend a comical picture of myself in a hat and this movement suddenly released the camera USB cable. Normally not a problem; However, at the time where I was perched on a small ledge at the top of a very steep slope of 10 metres, ending in a nice big slab of concrete. As I watched it all fall away in what I assumed it was some and complete destruction, I took comfort in the fact that I knew that the originals were always safe and sound on my desktop. It t didn't take long to realize, to my dismay, that these originals is now across the world with no viable way to retrieve hundreds of value s GB of data (relatively slow speed internet and 3 GB monthly transfer of my ISP here CAP). If that's not enough I counted the hours, I had put in a project that was only on my laptop HARD drive.

I decided to find my way down and survey damage but I had very little hope to resurrect my handy dandy of digital information repository. To my surprise, after a quick rocked and the reintegration of Cableusb above, I found all be intact and functional information to full capacity.

So I m just writing to you the incredible say I am pleased that your product has fallen, slipped and finally broke his way towards seemingly certain death and still lived to talk about. When I soon decide to upgrade this laptop I'm going with a Toshiba that I know if your laptops are even half as durable as your external hard drives, it will survive probably me.

  • Question on the repair process.

Someone had experience with the process of repair of HP? They just swap my laptop on for some old renovated piece of junk with a new set of problems, or will I get my actuall back machine? I also believe that my HARD drive is dead, and of course I was unable to erase its contents before sending it. HP will ensure that all my data is destroyed before disposing or restore disk? All of my personal information is out there and how these corporations are so sloppy with personal data, there wonder if I should just keep the old drive and buy a new one, even if it is still under warranty.

    Think you folks?

    Hello FlyingHorse,

I would be happy to let you know about the repair process.

Its simple, just send the computer in the repair center. They will look in the computer for problems. Solve problems with the replacement of parts which went wrong, re - install the operating system and return the computer to you.

It is therefore not swaping question with another computer. It will be the same computer that you will receive. On data, HP is very special. There is no need to worry about what the hard disk will be wiped.

I hope that I have answered the question. If you need additional information, please get back to us

  • Behavior erratic mouse/Touchpad on Inspiron 15 5447

I had my laptop for a little over 4 months. I mainly use a wireless mouse with him... and every so often the mouse will have a mind of your own. I can be typing or even try to use the mouse and it will start to jump around on the screen itself... by selecting things... even of switching/Mobile windows as if buttons are pressed as well. At first I thought that maybe it was interference with the touchpad... so I tried both disable touchpad when external mouse is connected... and disable the touchpad altogether and the problem persists. So I thought that maybe the mouse is the problem, so at some point when he wents nuts on me, I turned it off and opted for the touchpad... but the erratic behavior continues. The only thing I can do about it is to restart... and then things are usually fine for several days before the question starts again. Any thoughts on what the problem maybe, or troubleshooting tips?

It worked - DELL has a terrible touchpad - there is a hardware ONLY problem affecting the series 3000, 4000, 5000 and 7000.  I bought a protective screen of the dollar for a dollar store, it worked where all software solutions had failed.

      Hello world!

Like you I had the same problems touchpad. At first, I thought it was ESD and troubleshoot-made for a few days. Finally, I concluded that he had nothing to do with the EDD and passed questions possible pilot. I installed every driver package I could find, modified, off driver signature in order to install OEM drivers, used Windows 7, 8, 8.1, Ubuntu etc... but in vain.

Early on, some kind of physical problem seems to be the most logical. The question was just what! I couldn't believe that synaptics could do such an aweful touchpad which was incapable of actually at work. I did support arguing that the question must be caused by something small. During my last clean install of Windows 8.1 I noticed that the default windows caused the touchpad driver is EXTREMELY sensitive. You will notice that once you install the latest driver from Dell the cursor movement calms down considerably. The touchpad is still extremely sensitive, the driver is just take the raw input all that and generalizing it in a cursor, easier to manage. Conclusion, the touchpad is too sensitive.

I compared this premise with my previous experiences and found much support each other. My touchpad would typically be panic after a lot of 2-finger scroll or a large number of movements of gesture.  Indeed, it would stop work entirely if I blew warm breath on her. Conclusion, I need to desensitize the touchpad on and protect... but how!

In my first attempt, I simply took the touchpad transparent and entirely covered with packing tape. Don't expect anything I ran my finger on it and revealed that the movement of the cursor is estimated much more controllable. I used it for 30 minutes like this with only a few minor problems. (My touchpad STILL freaks out in the first 15 minutes, so for me it was a big deal!) I asked a little more layers of Ribbon downwards and the feature kept getting better and better. Since I was best performance with several layers of tape and because the transparent packing tape is not look glued to your laptop I wanted to find a better solution. I needed a plastic resistant thick that I would stick to the surface of the touchpad and has no need of me to use many of the layers. Conclusion, use plastifieuses 3 m plastic.

On this second attempt, I disassembled the laptop and removed the touchpad of the palm rest area. I used a tampon Magic Eraser with a little water and very little SOAP to clean the surface of the touchpad. After that it was clean and dry I cut an oversized square piece of plastic lamination and placed the touchpad upside on the sticky side of the plastic. I then took a razor and carefully trimmed the excess by tracing around the edge of the touchpad. The result was a piece perfectly sized plastic on the top of the touchpad. I reinstalled the touchpad in the palmrest and reassembled the computer. (Please note that there is some tape of ground wire to the back of the tablet that should be reapplied during installation.)

I use it like this for 3 days now with ZERO problems! I hope that Dell takes knowledge from this post and comes up with a real solution. The black surface of the touchpad is itself just plastic glued on the circuit of keys using an adhesive. It seems that the simple solution would be for them to replace it with a more robust piece more thick. One thing I noticed is that the 3 m plastic is tougher than the original surface of the touchpad which makes it difficult to slide your finger over it. When I started my finger continued to jump on the touchpad which caused the cursor to jump around, however after a few hours he smoothed out nicely. You can have better luck using a different plastic as a screen protector of mobile phone since it was designed to have the fingers touch.

in any case, I really hope that this helped you guys. I was just as grumpy as you on this subject and I still think that Dell OFFICIALLY must do something about this problem! (DELL TAKE NOTE!) In the meantime, I hope this allows you to you guys and running and able to enjoy your laptop once more! Good luck!

  • Why not Win 7 search easily or reliably find files from subfolder and file specified?

I've been using Windows for a while now, since version 2.x. I am currently using Windows 7 64 bit. I need to find a file. Not exactly rocket science. Let's say it's fichier.ext. I know that one or more copies of filename.ext reside inside or under C:\folder\subfolder1.

So I open C:\folder\subfolder1 in Windows File Explorer. I press {COMMAND} + {e} for the search box and type filename.ext, then {ENTER}. The search returns 99 items. Unfortunately, 98 of them are not named fichier.ext. It sucks, but whatever. 98 results for the most part irrelevant are sorted by ascending file name. UH... I know by running DIR/s that there are actually 7 files named filename.ext residing in these subfolders. But Windows 7 search gave only 1 of them. The resolution of the problems of research said that everything was fine. All seem to have file system permissions. So here I am with 1 relevant result and literally 98 irrelevant results. It sucks. The files are not hidden. ATTRIB shows that they hear only the flags of A (rchive). I can find no reason why search gave no relevant results 98, yet returned only 1 of 7 planned relevant results. No, I'm starting to do this just to write a rant on the search for Win 7. I wanted just to finish a task, which would have been relatively easy in all previous versions of Windows, I used.

Given that the search for C:\folder\subfolder1 does not work, I try searching for C:\. Guess what. 43 items returned, and only 34 of the results are irrelevant. From C:\, search found 7 all the relevant files. It's a Festivus miracle! But how a top-level folder got no less relevant results, but most relevant results doesn't make much sense.

16% of the relevant results are grouped because they are sorted by filename ascending. Now, the company, right? I want the full path and the name of each of the 7 compliant files that I know exist. Who do not ask too, right? Except that there is no way to copy the text in the column of the file. And the text in the folder column is absurd anyway. The folder column shows "subfolder5 (C:\Folder\Subfolder1\Subfolder2\Subfolder3\Subfolder4). Why on Earth is subfolder5 on the left? And there is no place I can copy the path. OK, no problem, I'll just do a right click and open the file location. In fact I use {SHIFT} + {F10}, {i} instead of Right-Click, but it's because I have old habits when there was usually effective ways of doing things in Windows using the keyboard.

Thus, opens the folder containing my first relevant result. {ALT} + {d} which brings me to the address bar, where I already have the full path. Now I just type "\" and the first characters of the file name and it completes automatically. {COMMAND} + {a}, {COMMAND} + {c} and it is all copied to the Clipboard. Yay, I got my first string path\filename successfully, so I can really accomplish something. I launch an instance of Notepad and paste it in for later use. Now back to my remaining 6 to search relevant results... Hmmm... {ALT} + {left} does nothing. Focus changes often without apparent reason in Win 7 files and the Search Explorer, which prevents the work strikes. So I move the mouse and click the left arrow to go back to my 6 other relevant results. That's when I find that search threw all the results. I have to wait while it does search through each file under C:\. Ugh.

In an effort to avoid having to search several times C:\ 5 times more unnecessarily for fichier.ext, I'm thinking maybe I can click the button start and try to type here, let semi-automatic paths as I type the content of the column of the file. It does not, because the start menu obscures my 7 relevant results. I later I knew that even if they are hidden, I could select the relevant 7 of 99 total results and the selection color stick while the start menu hidden items in the name column. But in the end, the fastest way to get the 7 paths was actually copy via the mode prompt QuickEdit on DIR /S FILENAME command. Results of the EXT. I mean, really?

Windows search cannot locate surely known names of files in a subfolder that is known? Win7 search not only gave me 98 irrelevant results, but also failed to find 6 of the 7 specified files. How screwed is that? But DIR/s gave me no irrelevant results at all and find files with 100% reliability. Does this strike anyone as being a little... uh... bad?

Find names of files specified in a specified subfolder does not appear as a rare user scenario. Simply how to find a record of a known file in a known subfolder name seems ridiculously too complicated in Windows 7.

Now, there is a _ a lot of good things on Win 7. My favorite features are probably support for multiple processors, accident of insulation, and the incredible improvements in design and material compatibility layer makes this Win 3.x prey. But please, I seriously hope that someone will take a look at some of the pieces of this real scenario common and try to improve things in a future service pack or something? Pretty please?

Noel, thanks for the great suggestion! I * never * would have discovered the ' file name: ' filter with the help of Windows.

I had no idea that there was a search syntax. It seems totally weird to me that the add a drop-down list box filter search doesn't give IU for update and size filters. I think that corresponding filename deserves its own button there and something to direct users to this overview of query language syntax.

It's really great to know adding "leader:" to restrict the results to only compliant file names. I am completely floored that it is completely impossible. I would * NEVER * have discovered that the link of query syntax. There is no link between the search Help topics. Windows Search 4.0 is somewhat a component name internally. As an end-user of Windows 7, I consider that the search for files to be an integral part of the operating system. I would have never thought to search for help on "Windows Search 4.0". FYI - I just went to the research, a help file topic or a folder and a suggestion to make a link to the news of search query to win 4 left.

I fiddled with the columns, remove the folder column and replacing it with the much more logical folder path column. I was happy to find that the next time I opened a search for C:\, the path of the folder column persisted.

When I search libraries, I have the search box offers some filters, like, Date of modification, Type, name, path, Tags. This never was told to the "queue:" filter that I needed. The "name:" filter only appears when searching for my libraries, do not then the research to another part of my drive. Research on "name:filename.ext" returns all files where {(extention == «ext») & (filename contains "filename")}, for example, returns 'fu_filename.ext', 'filename_bar.ext', 'fu_filename_bar.ext', etc.

In the results, the context menu doesn't give me a copy as path option. The closest I can find is going to file properties, I can manually copy the contents of the location.

Rest of questions that I hope THAT MSFT would consider to improve:

    1. "file name:" filter is totally impossible, causing in search of filename otherwise quick to take minimum two times longer, useless due to analysis of the content of the file.

    2. DIR /S C:\FILENAME. EXT runs twice faster than Win with essential Search but impossible ' file name: ' filter, often up to 8 times faster than without the discoverable ' filename: ' filter.

    3. DIR /S C:\FILENAME. POST do not clutter results with files whose content contains the string.

    4. DIR /S C:\FILENAME. Reliable EXT returns all the relevant results.

    5. I can copy each path of results returned by DIR /S C:\FILENAME. POST in a single step (with QuickEdit active guest).

It's not too terribly demanding to expect a file search v7 o/s to at least on par with the performance and ease of use of a query of type MS-MS-DOS age 30 is?

    Hello

This probably means that your model either ecr/body/myocs/ocs_banner not to disseminate any response to the browser for the WCS should be able to hide. If you really want to have such a model (can be a space-reserved for future use) write a small piece of invisible text for now, instead.
