• APEX does not open after you have created the new Oracle listening port

  I had to re register Oracle listener using "lsnrctl start". A new listening port has been created and I am able to connect user Apex by PL/SQL Developer. Port 8080 is open.
  But if I try to open the application APEX of URL (http://localhost: 8080/apex/f? p = :::) 4550:1:0 its not opening not.) It was working fine until yesterday.
  I use Oracle XE 11 g and APEX 4.2

Then, restart the listenerer.

  We have upgraded the oracle database to new version 11g. We use HFM 11.1.1.3 version. When I tried to configure the new database oracle with existing shared Services HFM, the EPM Configurator is suspended. Please could you clarify the below a few questions before starting the configuration of the database.
  
  1. don't we want to modify properties or configuration files before starting the EMP Configurator?
  
  2. If we want to edit the file reg.properties, which is the password shows in the file reg.properties (here is the structure of the reg.properties file)? If I have to give password of Oracle database schema?

  One more, then I'll stop: Some WordPress plugins include browser sniffing code that can adjust the output for different browsers. Recently, there was one that worked right up for Firefox 35 and caused problems in Firefox 36 (why can not my clients or I discovered my own site on FireFox?).   We currently have a less-than-ideal situation by which Oracle Internet Directory services are installed on the same host (well under a separate House) in the database that contains the repository of metadata. We want to fix this in a future close by effectively moving services OID to a separate host computer. Is this possible? I couldn't do anything useful by googling and some tests I did with trying to install a second instance of OID against the existing repository, turned up the following error:
  
  Setup has detected that you already have Oracle Internet Directory configured for the database located in < host >: < port >: < database >.  Directory Internet Oracle can be installed once per database.
  
  Looks pretty final that I suppose. Was wondering if anyone had had success trying to make something similar?
