Someone else is printing on our wireless printer

Hello

We have a HP Photosmart B110 printer that uses wireless in our House, via a password protected network. However, lately the printer has printed the documents that we have not sent to it. It seems that someone else in the neighborhood has access to our printer. How can this happen? Is it possible to stop? Is it possible to follow who he is?

Thanks, Lars

Lars salvation,

Yes it is possible. It's actually quite simple to break a network that is "protected" by a WEP password.

People have been wardriving and play with networks and printers wireless protected by WEP for a few years now.  WPA and WPA2 can be cracked, but a dictionary of words and a lot of time are needed.

Switch to WPA2 (AES) encoding password, use a password is a combination of upper/lower case and special symbols.  Once done the printer Ghost will be unable to use your printer and firewall.

Best regards

ERICO

Does not print my 611 3052 printer all-in-one wireless more.  I added a password to our wireless router and now it will not pick up the printer.  What should I do?

Well Yes, the reason why I proposed the software is that it is the only way to get the wifi password.

I would recommend you go to the front of the printer and go to settings > Wireless > default settings before running the software.

  • Can someone else make my wireless connection network "secure"?

Since the purchase of my laptop, I used a wireless internet network, the connection has always said he was an 'unsecured wireless network'. Last week he was playing so I went in the list of available networks and noticed she had changed to a "secure wireless network', I had never done that because I didn't know how to do it!

It is possible that someone else has done? I called my service provider that I couldn't connect to internet at all and they were speaking to me in how to connect the ethernet cable to the computer and the modem. I don't know how to get my wireless connection, sorted, someone else had this problem or knows what to do?

    Thank you.

First of all I must say that it s irresponsible to use the unsecured WiFi network!
If the wireless network is not secure, everyone can get connected to the internet via your private internet access.

Generally, each WLan router configuration mask is secure and you need a password to change the settings of the Wlan router.
I put t know why you do not guarantee you Wlan because each Wlan router comes with the manual and configuration steps are described in all just way.

If you n t know how to secure the Wlan router, ask a professional technician or first check the manual of the router.

This should copy the screen into paint. From there you can save it wherever you want.

  • Someone else has an iPhone 6 with a faulty wifi card?

I had problems with the wifi connection on my iPhone 6 during some time now. The phone constantly drops the connection wifi, carries a low when connected connection and force me to be right next to the router in order to make a connection. I first contacted apple to this topic on December 2015 (2 months after my 1 year warranty) they got to toggle flight mode, toggle the wifi button, reset the network settings, reset the phone completely back to factory settings... I did everything several times and the problem is still there.  I was told by a couple of reps on the phone to take the phone to an Apple Store and ask them to help me... So I took the 2-hour drive to the Apple store nearest to say that the phone has a faulty wifi card and it is not repairable. He said the phone had to be replaced, but I was out of the warranty period and I have to pay $299.00 more taxes for a replacement...

Does anyone else have this problem? I'm quite shocked that apple refuses to fix it which is at their end in the form of a defective unit. I understand that it is out of warranty, but it is a problem of manufacturig. These phone cost US $300 more our old phone. I am not able to drop $300 + on a new phone that I feel that apple should be responsible. I have been looking online similar questions and have not yet find something.

Millions of this model were sold. It is likely that someone else has had a problem with their WiFi card.

I think you don't understand quite what than a guarantee. It covers all defects or failures of discovered components during the warranty period. If the phone has a two year warranty (as it would have if you had paid for AppleCare +) you would still be covered. But, if the WiFi card failed after 26 months, it would not be covered. As you are now about six months outside of your warranty, I don't know why you would expect Apple to cover a problem that you don't yet report to them until after that the guarantee was already more. You just wait for Apple to cover the failure of a component for as long as you have the phone?

  • Can someone tell me how I can access the internet on my laptop to someone else's House?

I want to take my computer on a visit, I can access the internet at home someone else with their supplier?

    Hi Huw,

If it is a WIFI connection and they provide the access codes and Setup appropriate (and maybe even if they are not depending on how they are configured), it should be no problem.  You will probably need to create a new connection to connect to their network and possibly another new connection to connect to internet (if they are separated).  I created portable work of my wife to work from home in less than 5 minutes.

If you need to connect with a cable, then you need a cable and they need a way to connect to their network or their internet connection or even a computer connected to the internet connection can be used by ICS to give you access (even once, after you have setup the proper connections and codes installation).

The following may or may not be of help (although designed for Vista, you can get the general idea on their part and XP and W7will be similar and you should be able to work out the differences - if not, look how configure wireless internet access in "The BONES" of aid):

The truth is it is relatively easy and is done all the time by many people.  Think about all the people with laptops who take their origin and work at the same time and maybe even at Starbucks.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • PC indicates that there is someone else on the net with the same ID on this net work I use

my pc shows that there is someone else using the same ID that I'm on this net work

    Hi Robert,.

The description of the problem seems a little unclear and I wish I had a better understanding before you start working on it. I appreciate if you could help me with more information.

    1. What is the exact full error message?

    2. When you receive the error message?

    3. do you use wired network connections / wireless?

If the message is all using the same IP address, I suggest you to reset the router and then reassign the IP manually once and check. You can go through the link to do so.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones from someone else on my BB screen

At the top of the main screen between the battery life indicator and signal strength the BB shows the current time, the day of the week and month & day - and especially since it displays AT & T and a name... until tonight, my name appeared there and all of a sudden its someone else.

How can I get my name back on there, its scary seen looking at my phone and see someone else's name?

It looks like you can be connected to a Wi - Fi network instead of your own.

In your screen menu go to connection management then scroll and select Options Wi - Fi. It should give you a list of your saved wireless profiles. You can then select the profile that is not your, click your menu button, and then disable or remove the Wi - Fi profile.

I hope it works for you.

  • I'm having a problem on line when someone else uses the same router, error message: there is an IP address conflict

Original title: I'm having a problem online when someone else uses the same router I have...

I bought a new laptop with windows 7 premium. I connect to the internet through an external modem dsl and a wireless belkin n router. My daughter has an Android and uses the same connection... The problem is that we cannot not be online at the same time... If shes online using his android I can't connect using the laptop and if Im online using the laptop, she can't get online using his android... The error message indicates that there is a conflict of IP address... And sometimes says that there is a dns error... How can I fix this problem so that we can surf the net using the same connection?

    Hello

Router is the gateway to the Internet, and it assigns the IP address for different devices. With the error message, you have so many IP address conflict, it seems that the IP address is not assigned correctly on the router.

I suggest that you turn off all devices, reset the router and turn on the router. Once that is done turn the whole one and try to connect to the Internet.

For assistance on this, you can contact your router manufacturer or Internet service provider.

    Hope the information is useful.

xinetd is running at 83% or more 24 x 7 devours battery in 2 hours or less and making the fan run all the time.  I am connected to a bug report, and it turns out that it was a duplicate because someone else had the same problem.  However, I have no access to the other bug report or find anything either in the discussion forums or online.  Anyone experience this problem?

    Hello gorgonzola1111,

I doubt that someone else has this problem because xinetd does not part of macOS. Have you installed it from a package of "ports" 3rd party?

  • Someone else has Apple Airplay jumping and drop outs when streaming music?  WiFi is not the problem, and there is nothing around the units of airtime to interference.  Impossible to listen to music.  Thanks for any advice.

I've recently updated several broadcasts in my house from V1 to V2 in the hope of resolving a constant jumping and abandonment problem I always had when playing music with Airplay.  I have a unit of airtime plugged directly on my stereo receiver that feeds music throughout my house.  My WiFi connection is not the problem and there is nothing to cause interference.  Airplay modules are not more than 15 feet distance modem or range Extenders.  Someone else has this problem and, hopefully, a solution?   I'm tired of doing factory reset all the time.  Many thanks for any advice.

I've recently updated several broadcasts in my house from V1 to V2 in the hope of resolving a constant jumping and abandonment problem I always had when playing music with Airplay.

By "Airplays" what are you actually refers to... Base station airPort Express, Apple TV, or something else?

... and "V1 to V2" do you mean you replaced a 1st generation 802.11n AirPort Express with a 2nd generation?

Airplay modules are not more than 15 feet distance modem or range Extenders.

When steaming audio with AirPlay, the flow goes first to the device host to iTunes to the router Wi - Fi, this unit is connected to. From there, he will travel to the AirPlay "speaker". A president could be an AirPort Express, Apple TV or an AirPlay device ready another manufacturer. If you use line extensions, the flow must go through those as well... so there is potential bottlenecks between the host and the speaker. One of these could be the cause of the issue you found.
