    Hi JaalTravien,

Thanks for the added information. I already checked the specification of this laptop completely and it shows that the maximum RAM you can put there is 4GB. [((2GB/DDR2/800/SO-DIMM) 2 x 4GB)].

  • Sony Vaio VGN-UX180P micro laptop - memory upgrade possible?

Micro pc Sony Vaio VGN-UX180P memory manufactured standard 512Mbytes, quite low for this miraculous micro pc...

I am not sure, but I can pass the memory by adding additional 512Mbytes?

Doesn't look like the Sony VAIO UX has the memory locations. All memory is soldered on the motherboard. You can download disassembly guides here (http://www.micropctalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119&page=5).

  • Re: Software for Sony Vaio

My father recently gave me his Sony Vaio VGC-LS25E and I am running WIndows 7 32 bit. I get an error message on my display driver.

"NVIDIA Compatible Windows Vista Kernel Mode Driver display driver, Version 167.43 not responding and has successfully recovered."

The computer crashes before I get this screen, it happens a few times a day and seems to get more long term.

    Help?

If you continue to have graphics drivers for your One VGC-LS25E desktop computer errors, all try first reinstall the graphics driver so you can get on the desktop.

    http://eSupport.Sony.com/us/Perl/SWU-do... 5 & os_id = 28

If you can't, try to run the [F8] safe mode at startup.
If it loads properly use msconfig and disable the start-up services and non-Microsoft and restart normally, and then install the driver.

If you are unable to enter Safemode try our hidden partition. Press [F10] to the POSITION immediately after the logo of VAIO appears. Once, it says to change the options to start just press on enter, if it loads you can reinstall the video driver from there.

If she gives you access to the rescue partition and you have exhausted all other measures, data rescue are there to help you back up your important files. Perform a C drive recovery to wipe the system back to the original factory specifications.

  • Windows 7 on a Vaio VGC-LV150J

I have a Sony Vaio VGC-LV150J, who had a hard disk crash. I did a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit. At this point, I tried to load each update from the website but the computer does not have a driver installed for the controller PCI of communication Simple. Several updates have installation questions, some saying Vista was necessary. How and where can I find the driver for the PCI Simple Communications Controller for Windows 7 64 bit? In addition, I had similar problems installing some software updates and Sony. Some updates do not work because the software is not installed on the computer (where can I find the software loading) and others seem to be looking for vista.

    Thank you!

The reason why I did a clean install, it is that when I tried to get it back, I received an error 332. In doing research that seem related to my new hard drive SATA 2. Do you know if this model must be able to support the SATA 2 or I have to step up to 1 SATA? The drive seems to work very well and I ran Diagnostics and it passes all the tests.

  • SONY VAIO F Series SVF15412CXB does support dual channel memory?

SONY VAIO F Series SVF15412CXB does support dual channel memory?  Or is it only a slot?

I'm curious to know if I can put a second stick of RAM in there for performance dual channel.

    Hi gremark,.

I understand you want to be sure of everything. I checked the service manual for this model and even tried to open a laptop of the same type and I can assure you that this model supports the double delivery. You can add up to a stick more than 4 GB of ram to increase the memory capacity.

If the consequences are that you suffer from malware infection,
It is highly unlikely that system restore will help.

I have 2 problems; 1. I don't have any system restore disc, so I need to do without it.

A disc of "System Restore"? There is no such thing as a "system restore."
disc. You want to reinstall Windows rather than do a system
restoration. If so, please don't mix up the two very different things.

If that's what you want to do, and you do not have a disk to reinstall
Windows, you should contact Sony and ask them for guidance on how to
go ahead. You can have a partition you can reinstall from, or they can
be able to sell you a disc for one low price.

  • My Sony VAIO does not detect my SD cards.

    Hi I have a Sony VAIO VGN-NR110E with Win 7 Ultimate SP1.

Previously, he has worked, I had to reformat my PC, because it was undesirable o full and before the format, that it worked, but now it does not recognize.

When I stand or the other of the two TI will not appear in my "My Computer".

In fact, before, I could see the little icon of memory stick and SD card, and now I can't.

  • Various computer problems - Windows 8 SONY VAIO

    I own a SONY VAIO computer with Windows 8. Recently, I have corrected a problem with a temporary profile. When I had this problem I was getting at all times 'blue screen of death '. After you fix the problem, I noticed different types of malfunctions;
-J' still have the blue screen of death which says something along the lines of KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR and I know it has something to do with the RAM/memory. (I noticed that I usually get the screen when my computer is too overworked and that when he sat for a long time.
-L' computer gets very hot around the fan area.
-It crashes in a weird way. It does not freeze only when it is too overworked by opening things, sometimes very shortly, but when it happens it remains frozen for a long time.
-I don't know if it's just my imagination but the hard drive C: / / is half full for no reason. I checked most of the documents/music/pictures, which I entered the computer and they do not occupy so much space that the player shows. I tried to delete unnecessary files but the amount of GB remains exactly the same thing!  355GB is busy on 672 GB... I'm sorry, but how is that possible even if all my personal files don't even reach 40 GB? In addition, the 355 number changes over time even when I make no changes to the computer at all, the number rose to 354 while we're talking.
-J' installed an antivirus but it detects any problems.
I don't know if this is how laptops are supposed to work, or if I did / I am doing something wrong, but I would appreciate the help.
I know that this isn't a very specific problem, but I just started to use this laptop 2 months ago and I certainly don't think that it is a normal behavior.
I am ready for what it is, even if it is formatting the computer altogether in order to make it new, once again.
    Any help is very appreciated,
    Aggy.

Thanks for your quick reply Aggy88,

because the symptoms are similar to referring to the HW, but in the history of your laptop, we cannot assume any question of HW, the first thing you can try is a complete reset. First make a backup of your personal data, then open charm change of bar/setting/PC settings/general/remove all and reinstall Windows. During the reset procedure, you can ignore the window related to Bitlocker. When the system restarts during configuration to ensure that you are able to connect to a network and enter a valid Microsoft Account. If the system sounds works fine, first first navigate to Windows Update (charm bar, settings, settings, Windows PC update change) and manually check for updates. Don't forget to check the updates manually, because when you have a lot of them to install the system installs the first wave, restarts, and then manually check and install several times until you have more warning about new available updates. Follow this procedure and let me know if you face the same problem.

    Kind regards

    Easywin.
