Sound distortion and overheating with laptop
Hey, I have a laptop of HP 15-d035dx.
Lately I had problems with the sound, which seems to be temperature related, and I wasn't sure whether to put this in the audio or material of the Council.
In any case, at least once a day I have to restart, because all audio - video, Skype calls, music - beging to stutter severely and hear how I can only describe as 'robotic '. After the reboot, it goes back to normal.
As you can imagine, it's very frustrating and I have no idea what to do. There is no error message, the system begins just trolling and the programmes concerned are block.
Usually when this happens, I noticed that my camera is unusually hot. Since I bought it, I have never heard or felt the air moving through the vents, so I don't know if the fan doesn't work. I'm afraid to take part to make sure that where the warranty, but I suspect excessive heat can be damage the components related to this issue.
Any ideas? If this can help the audio device by default is Realtek High Definition Audio
Hello
From the information provided, it seems, as the fan has malfunctioned. If you do not hear it at all (you should), then your best option in your under warranty is in contact with support, they should be able to help with that.

Toshiba laptops and overheating with Linux
If you have a Toshiba laptop that seems to be overheating in Linux (like Ubuntu Linux), it is likely that this is due to bad "DSDT tables" (which refers to such things as energy saving) in the laptop.
Each computer has a description of material data that are used by the operating system. In many cases, the DSDT tables have errors that does not allow for Linux make use of powersaving. In addition, some devices may not work because of the bad DSDT. You can check if your DSDT is OK or now by following the instructions at
http://UbuntuForums.org/showthread.php?t=1036051You can perform this task even in Windows (extracted from the DSDT from your computer, recompile it and seewhether there are a of errors.) With help, you can easily fix most of the errors and 'install' back the fixed DSDT).
You can google for "toshiba dsdt" and 'toshiba dsdt overheating' case, for example.

Thanks for this useful article. I m watching carefully what you write here, and I'm happy here is someone with a very good knowledge of Linux.
With your help, I think a lot of people's decision made test Linux on Toshiba laptops and try to deal with the new operating system.Thank you for your participation on the Linux section.

Sound crackling and distorted on the laptop
Original title: my laptops internal speakers are now suddenly deformed and crunchy the laptop is only 2 years any ideas how to fix this problem. I tried external speakers... not good.
Sound distortion
Hi young surfer,.
1. What is the brand and model of the laptop?
2. Since when are you facing this problem?
Step 1:Run the troubleshooting of Audio playback and check if it helps.
a. open the Troubleshoot utility to play a sound by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel.
(b) in the search box, type troubleshooting and then click Troubleshooting.
c. under hardware and sound, click on the audio playback problems.
d. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.Audio playback convenience open
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-playing-audio-TroubleshooterStep 2:
Try disabling audio enhancements and check if that helps.
a. sound type by clicking on the button start, Control Panel. In the search box, type sound, and then click sound.
b. on the playback tab, click speakers and then click Properties.
c. click the enhancements tab, and then check Disable all improvements. If you do not see the enhancements tab in the speakers Properties dialog box, these features are not available for your speakers, and this procedure is not applicable to your computer.
If disabling audio enhancements solves the audio problem you are having, this indicates usually that your audio driver needs to be updated.

distortion and cracking noises with teams in video
Hello
I have a question about the quality of the media on my laptop, regarding the two sounds, graphics and audio and video gliching crashes. They seem to happen at the same time, so I think that there is a connection beween two of them. The specifications of my laptop are:
Hewlett-Packard HP ENVY 17 Notebook - Intel Core i7-4700MQ 2.40 GHz - 64 bit
I use my NVIDIA GeForce GT M 740 video card mainly, but I tried to pass the other standard video Intel(r) HD 4600 Graphics card.
I use this laptop for a few months now for school (I use a fairly heavy, inventor 3D design program), music, movies and games. So far he lived completely to my expectations and I am a very happy user but these noises and distortions are killing me. They occur with both my headphones and without (just the speakers on my laptop) every 5 seconds. My laptop which carries with pride brand Beats Audio (I honestly don't think that guaranteed everything about audio quality, it is just so should happened to be on the laptop that had caught my attention.)
Now, I did a little research on the subject, after trying the basic solutions as reinstall my audio drivers and in research usually updates previous and verification of the newspaper, I had found a few suggested threats it might have something to do with windows. but using Windows 8 not proven to be sufficient to solve the problem.
Can you maybe help me on this matter?
Thanks in advance for the help!
Hello JustSomeUser,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
Thanks for providing the troubleshooting steps you have already done. Because of the coupling of the video and sound quality being poor at this time. I suggest you restore to the original graphics drivers. I have included the document "using Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 8)", after you have reinstalled original drivers, restart your laptop. Now, you need to reinstall the updated drivers. I've included the document 'using HP Support Assistant (Windows 8)'. Please follow the steps for the updates and the updates.
This happens through all programs, or only certain programs? Are the programs that it happens on the Internet? What type of file of films and music do you play? Which player to play movies and music do you use?
So could you provide me with the model number full of your Envy 17. If you need, I've included the document 'Guide to finding your product number'.
Thank you.

IDT Audio Codec time Sound speakers but not with headphones on ENVY DV7 series laptop
I bought my laptop not more than two months ago. Its perfectly played through my helmet literally the day before yesterday.
Only two changes have occurred since then, first of all I accidentally plugged my headphones into the external microphone jack, then I updated the 'Music' for Windows 8 PC application.
After my sound stopped working. I restored my PC to a restore point dated before its no longer works in my helmet, however resonates once again that in my speakers (when my headphones are disconnected). When I plug my headphones, sound no longer plays in my speakers but no sound from my headphones either.
How can I get audio to play through my headphones?
Product name and number: Envy of HP dv7 Notebook PC C2h74UAR #ABA
Operating system: 64-bit Windows 8
Error message: None
Changes: 1) update "music" app for Windows 8
(2) accidentally plugged in headphones and external microphone jack
Hello
Try the following.
First of all, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.
When reinstalling, restart the laptop.
When windows has reloaded, download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.
IDT Audio Installer - Windows 8.
One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers. Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.
When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds. Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.
Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu. Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER. Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.
Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete. Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation. Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices. 'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio with headphones.
Kind regards

Sound on boot to top... turn crackling, distorted and then no sound
Hello
I hope someone could shed some light on my sound problems. My sound started to do. I turn on the computer and the sound seems to work very well, and then after using the computer a bit, the sounds can range from the crackling or distorted and then off. Sometimes, but rarely, the sound will come back from time to time.
I can restart and the sound is back again... or I can both lose sound, reinstall the driver and I have sound, until the same thing happens.
I installed the most recent driver, direct x, the windows media player 10. I have a toshiba mobile phone running windows xp. I have install recently more... two ram 512 chips, different brands.best buy think my motherboard can go...
any ideas?Hello dawn
It's very strange question. I've never heard of this. Unfortunately, I have no explanation for it, but I can't imagine that it is caused by the wrong driver or something like that. In any case, you can try and remove the sound card in Device Manager, then restart the device. Operating system detects hardware and install the driver.
Otherwise, maybe is it some problem with connections and the sound is just sometimes.
As I have already said, it's very strange question. I am very interested in this topic and if you have a solution please let me know.

Windows Media Player enabled at startup interferes with sound, video and other sources
Hi, this is a known issue since I've had this laptop second hand! But always thought that one of the USB flash drives was the cause (Sandisk Cruzer Micro U3), since the mouse cursor blinks like crazy until everything is fully charged and becomes stable. It is clear now Windows Media Player peut cause this conflict for two reasons. A single, "WMP" is pre-activated on startup? (as confirmed with the Task Manager, he just goes there and "sparkles" like crazy). And two, "WMP" wants to seize all media, he can find by default automatically; I "can I" accidentally put as such (during an update of Windows that you are prompted), not sure?
A purchased late 2009 "Pinnacle PCTV Pro HDTV USB Stick" product had never worked right? Cause the software "TVCenterPro" was unstable, and TV shows have been troubled and often froze. OEM is finally released with a great release of TVCtr Pro5x ("TVCenter6"), and it works much better! But I could only install it in trial mode until I found the CD product key.
I uninstalled and reinstalled TVC6; but no TV (or FM radio) channels can be found in the full activation mode? And better actually worked in "trial mode; which didn't make any sense? Pursuit of the investigation, that's when I discovered "WMP" behaviour above; and forced a complete process tree removal. I did the same thing to TVC6, which cound not 'see' peripheral integrated audio from the laptop in full mode? And on reloading the program, it worked! TVC6 can now detect the device audio and pick up channel and stations by their identifiers as he did in "test" mode There's more to refine what I should do to properly operate the TVCenter6. But I need to know why "WMP" havoc on audio, video and other sources, hardware and software!
The 'specifications' are Internet Explorer 9 (new), Vista Home Basic SP-2 and Windows Media Player 11.0.6002.18311. The embedded video is ATI Radeon Express and the audio Realtek High definition, the processor is Intel Pentium Dual Core & so on.
* The system doesn't have a virus etc and is up to date. Has anyone met a similar behavior with Windows Media Player?
PS: I just start WMP(11x) again, and of course, the mouse cursor begins to blink like crazy immediately. The only solution is to make the highest (force the tree closed the process and prevent WMP launched with the use of the other audio video).
It turned out that the real problem was much worse than I thought! I had to reinstall sound, video and other device drivers; Windows Management Framework Core for Vista x 86 [(bundle 32 bits: Windows Powershell 2.0, Windows Remote Management 2.0 ("WinRM"), Background Intelligent Transfer Service 4.0 ("BITS"))], etc.. And preparation tool system update to find and fix registry I didn't know were there? (42 total, only 4 keys were fixed. The other 38 were removed one by one, after finding a way to change the access permissions; not even administrator has for Vista Home Basic; for files also). Addition of a few executables of line at the command prompt (indicated in respective Microsoft etc. support messages and articles online); and what you said that I had already done all troubleshooting (failed?). After working on it for two days, the system suddenly broken to normal; and works better than ever. Windows Media Player (11 x) is working great now and is no longer remains in memory when opening and closing several times; hardware audio and video is surprisingly better; even the works of volume mixer! And that weird State "crazy cursor" that caused the blue screen error if allowed to go on long enough are gone! (even after the insertion of misc USB flash and other devices). Windows updates found nothing to "change" other than the periodic updates. I also ran the command line to stop several languages of the poll"(tout ce qu'il s'appelle?), and"Windows features"appears much faster than the overall speed and performance." All that's left is to tweak "Windows features" for optimum performance; Therefore, the problem is solved!
Please note: I can't turn off the storage management removable and Remote Differential Compression etc to speed up Vista even more (not). TVCenter6 works fine but "hangs" in memory (at the end).
For these questions, please go to the related post via this link: optional features of Windows cannot be enabled or disabled, hidden Windows updates cannot be uninstalled.
Support: Please add a "Mark" button for the problems solved by the user (and when Microsoft does not provide the answer, as is the case with all other messages); so I can close the nets, I opened as 'resolved on mine'.

* Original title: Windows Media PLayer
I have Windows Media Player version 12 installed but when you try to play .mp4 files in WMP, I hear the sound but the picture is distorted and I can't see the picture. Please see image attached.
Even if I see that I can change the version of the file in a different format, I have the same problem with videos on websites that I can not of course change the format before playing these.
I managed to fix the problem for about 20 minutes by flattening my computer re - install the operating system and this resolved until all updates have been through, and then it disappeared again. I tried many codecs packs and this still does not help.
My system is running Windows 7 and Media Player version is 12.0.7601.18840, which tells me that Media Player is the most recent version.
Please can someone help?
Open uninstall a program in windows and in the left click on the feature to turn on or off windows. Clear the check box of the window Media Player, and then click ok. This will uninstall the drive, and then restart.
After restarting the same steps, now, check the box for the same and perform a restart and if all goes well it should solve the problem.
Note: Make sure that Windows is up-to-date.

Why has my connection AirPort Extreme recently stopped with my Tablet Android and Windows 7 laptop, but connects very well with all Apple devices?
What exact model of AirPort Extreme do you have? Either have your tablet or laptop Win7 been updated recently? They were both able to connect before and not now OR they were never able to connect? Can the laptop Win7 access Internet when connected by Ethernet? One of these devices have problems connecting to other networks Wi - Fi?

No sound from Internet Explorer / Sound of ok media with USB speakers player and without.
Please can someone help... I am running Vista Home premium on a Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 series. I ran diagnostics and any other thing, I see... I can get good sound play anything through Media Player... But no Internet Explorer sounds... makes no difference with or without USB speakers. Have upgraded to IE 8 to IE 7 - not make a difference.
I just encountered this problem but luckily managed to solve it easily. I got guitar pro running playing sound normally and IE wasn't when you run simultaneously. I closed gp and IE worked as usual. I didn't know this before with these two programs, but I would say that if you have this problem try closing unnecessary programs and restart ie.

Then restart and reinstall the update from here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971033
redemarrer restart again, then try to change your product key to the one on the sticker - what is happening this time?

Hi, I have wireless internet in my house and I gave my password system so that others in my home with laptops can use my internet provider. I want to change my password now. How can I do that or do I need to contact my provider?
Normally, you must have set a wireless router with a password to the wireless network using the wireless network that you have set up in your home.
If above is the case, read the information that came with your router, or search for it on their website on how to change the settings in it.
See you soon.
