• Real-time application does not work; source code works very well

  The short version is I'm programming a cRIO and apparently the RT code isn't running after you deploy, and I can't understand why. It is further complicated as I do all this remote and I don't have direct access to the unit since I am 500 miles away. I work through a couple of other guys who know some LabVIEW, but neither is working on the site so that they explicitly trip there whenever I have a bright idea.

  I was there a few weeks ago. During this time, I created a code simple cRIO, since I'm new to the cRIO, allowing the user to move a control and change a chart. It worked fine, but I must stress that it did not have a FPGA component. After that, I worked on the actual code, which reads some sensors, displays the results on a user interface and stores the results. Did FPGA. I used it in the LabVIEW environment and it worked fine, but I ran out of time before I could finish a release build and deploy the RT as a compiled application. I sent them the version later, my contact deployed but had the network stream errors during execution of the user interface.

  After hours to address network problems and sending over debug versions, I tried to create a log on RT level so I could see what was going on. The journal is not yet open, even if it is the first command in the code.   I had my contact use the RT debug console and when it pulls up to the front of the RT, it shows an arrow broken at delivery. He clicked and nothing happens - no work, no list of bugs. If he shoots to the top of the list of bugs manually, it is empty. Again, the RT works very well if you run it through LabVIEW and not as an application compiled in real-time. He also noticed that the open FPGA VI was grey on the block diagram. Are no other icons.

  I have an application on said device "OldApplication", and it works fine. I've done some chnages in the same source code and also changed the name of the application to different say "NewApplication". Now both applications are present on the device. "OldApplication" works fine but when I try to open ' NewApplication "it hangs on the splash screen. I checked the event logs and got the trace of the exception uncaught,

  How is it a generation of application relates to another application? NewApplications resource files is in conflict with the OldApplication resource files are same in both applications?

  Problem solved!

  When I rename all localization resources, java class files resource was not updated bundle id. It was referring old bundle id file.

  So I create new files resource and copied the old content file.

  Now, the two applications work correctly.

• How to release the source code (only) for first level VI?

  I develop an add-on for an application that I have. The demand is large (more than 1,500 VI) and the screws are set up to compile with for most of the default settings (there is a first level VI, some with visible front, most of them are not visible).

  The customer wants that source code for the work that I do, and he will use the many existing Subvi. The addon itself will be a Subvi (I have a Main.vi that basically opens 'front' and it is a new screen). The sub - VI existing basically make data collection and treatment, and the new code will perform additional processing and have a nice GUI for existing code. The customer wants the source so that they can make changes as needed.

  Is there an easy way to simply provide the source for the first level VI? Basically, I want to give them M.vi, where M.vi name n.vi, o.vi... etc, but o - z.vi should be non-free. In addition, M.vi is called by Main.vi, which opens A screens - M.vi

  One option is to copy the entire application, then open each sub - VI and save it without Source Code. But with so many files, this seems like a bad idea. So, I also maintain two applications.

  I opened my first level VI, saving Options with-> apply the password (or remove diagrams) and then give it to them. I also provide a normal backup of their VI, with source.

  I have a client who is not a device to test my application, but want to test it in a simulator in Eclipse. What is the best way for me to offer something easy to install without giving up all my source code (before I was paid for it).

  I have, for customers who do not have any BlackBerry installed, zipped high back full Simulator that contains my request.  The user just need to "unzip" the directory to a known location, and then click the *.bat file in the directory to launch the Simulator.  My cod being already in the device, this means that there is no installation required.  In addition, you can preconfigure it, then zip - up the directory, so the user can even have your icon in the Favorites or on the home screen.

  I started (and in fact 2 years we have prototyped) the idea of using the dom / svg / canvas / webgl to render on the client FX, as no native window was necessary. It's something I'm very interested for reasons of safety (long story), and also for the user experience reasons (more like a real web application). However, it still requires a plugin because it requires a JVM.

  Using GWT works around the problem of the FMV - sort of. You don't always have all of the JRE available, and some semantic case corner is not the same. And GWT can produce large files of JS. But it gets you more or less here.

  The application running on the server and sending commands draw down via web shots is another very interesting use cases, in large measure because this action solves the problem of large file GWT. However it will not support the offline sort, shape, or form, so probably it is not really useful in the delivery of web sites to mobile with intermittent connectivity devices (or data caps!).

  IF ONLY THE WEB HAD BYTE CODES! We could then bring Java to something compatible semantically rather than JS and then use the browser for everything (networking, graphics, etc.). In other words, treat it as a BONE more some launcher within various operating systems. Really, I think it's the best account approach to all needs and tradeoffs, but GWT is now the closest, we have this idea.

  In any case, I hope that we can give more information about OS soon enough. If you were very intrepid, you may decompile the sources and provide your own implementation of glass and pipeline Prism - but I don't know if that goes against any terms of use or anything like that (no idea). And it would really gutsy and courageous and likely to break horribly in the coming months, because we are about to refactor the implementation significantly.

  So, I always compare products of creation and try to filter requirements.

  I've been reading more about HR and have met HR server and source control and ask yourself exactly if they are needed.

  You're almost on the spot. RoboHelp Server is mainly necessary only if you want the features of additional reports. There are other minor differences between RoboHelp and RoboHelp Server but that's the main thing.
