  Yes exactly. "Configured" means space that is the maximum size that this virtual machine is set to achieve. But in your case, it has not used all the space put into service. But yes, it can reach up to 127 GB.

  Capacity risk details shows that I care by 3 436 VMs in a new cluster that has 21 total to 17 TB of usable capacity.  Buffering value + 20%.  The cluster itself has more than 7 TB of free space.  Anyone know what could be the cause to be so bad?

  

  You use allocation model, a more conservative estimate, for cpu/mem/disk. For stamps, you have 50% pads for cpu and mem. You also do not have approval for the disk or memory. Basically, they are super conservatives measurements, so much so that I would consider it usually unrealistic (yet you have 50% of buffer for mem, no overcommit and aid allocation model... is not business sense to have all this sitting deliberately unused memory). Run a report of virt mem CAP, or simply go the summary for the cluster/datacenter/world view... you will see where are your constraints. You will find that you need to adjust your config policy to be more realistic given your current % use of your environment... lower your pads, increase your overcommit, or disable alloc model and use ask model... any combination of these will get closer you to the real world.

• Info volume cRIO 9030 to connected USB drive

  I want to display the available disk space for a USB stick plugged into a cRIO-9030 running Linux Realtime (path to the drive is/u).  It is a data logging application that can run for a month with users looking only to see that things are run OK, which they won't if disk space wears.  I tried to get information of Volume and the file Info screws, but both give me nonsense values.  It seems that the Volume of information VI get always reports on the internal disk (/ C) any way I use, I can't see how much space I have on the drive/u.  I plugged into different USB drives with different capacities and free amount, but I still get the same values of the VI, which differ from what MAX brings to the reader/c, but are the closest values for this player than anything else.  I also get a useless value of the VI of information from file/Direcory, which seems to be pointing out how many files is at the root of the drive, not its quality or its free space.  Any suggestions about how to get free space and capacity of a USB key connected to the cRIO?

  Odd. I just tried this on my own target RT Linux (running LVRT 2014) and it seems to work as you expect, where to get the Volume information on ' / u ' returns the available space on the Flash DRIVE and is certainly different from what I get from the internal drive. I see a bug (?) where there's just ' / ' was not taken in charge, what should be on Linux:

  

  / (or/u) u is actually a symbolic link to where the drive is actually mounted as/media/sda1 or/media/sdc1. (/ u is provided as a convenience of compatibility for porting the applications of Phar Lap or VxWorks.) You get the same result using the actual mounting location? You have access to a shell to the target? If so, that shows "df"?

• How to remove the trash on my computer dell laptop latitude who has windows xp?

  I am an elderly person not at savvy, computer then pls forgive me for asking what may seem like a stupid question. I need to know how to clear the trash on my laptop. It's a Dell latitude Windows xp. And I thank you all in advance for any help rendered on this!

  There are several possibilities.

  If the file is on a network resource or a removable device like a USB key, just delete Deletes without going through the trash.  It sounds like what is happening in your situation (which is your "DVR photo/video plug and play" device?).

  Look carefully at the message when you press the delete key - he probably said, "Are you sure that you want to delete 'Filename'?" rather than "Are you sure that you want to send 'filename' in the trash?

  Another, less likely, causes:

  If the file is too large, you should get a message saying that the file will not fit in the trash and delete will delete everything without moving to the trash.  I don't think that I've never seen a 'too big' file is to be deleted without the warning message.

  What is "too big"?  By default, the Recycle Bin is set at 10% of the size of your disk (partition).  If you go into my computer, you will see different drives displayed.  In general, you will use 'drive Local (c) '.  If you right-click on this icon and select Properties, you will see the used space, free space and capacity.  Your trash for this default player is 10% of the 'capacity' - but with a catch: he will not exceed 3.99 GB no matter how great the drive.

  You can see the actual amount of the space allocated to the trash by clicking right on it and then select Properties.  Depending on the number of drives in your computer, you can see several tabs here, including a 'Global' tab and one for each individual unit.

  A more even less likely cause:

  In addition to size, the Recycle Bin properties tabs also have a box that says "do not move files to the Recycle Bin.  Delete the files when they are deleted immediately.  I doubt that you have this box checked, because then the behavior you describe should occur for all files, not just some of them.

• Unable to read the security descriptors data stream

  Whenever I start my computer runs CHKDSK - it says checking file system on E: and then he said that it should be checked for consistency. It works until stage 3 when he says 'impossible to read the security descriptors data stream' how to fix this?

  The syntax

  is correct (except, of course, you try to use from the Recovery Console, where the fsutil command is not available).  Are you logged on as a user with administrative rights when you use fsutil?

  Similarly, the switches /f and/x are not available for chkdsk in the Recovery Console.

  Click on desktop then right-click on E: drive icon and select Properties.  What is indicated for:

  • File system
  • Space used
  • Free space
  • Capacity

  Now double click the icon for E: are shown files?  If not, click Tools > Folder Options > view and select the radio button "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected files (recommended) operating system.  Now that you see all the files?

  Everything you read 'low level of shaped' is nonsense.  Any modern PC drive cannot be low level formatted by end users.  You can read this, but there is really no necessary even to "zero fill" your drive E: http://seagate.custkb.com/seagate/crm/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=203931 (I have not checked to see if the WD tools rescuer has similar characteristics to SeaTools for DOS).

  If you are convinced that there is nothing of value on E (for example, installation of backup or restore), you can either format by right-clicking on the drive icon in my computer and selecting "format" or you can start disk management as described previously and use either in electronic format or delete the partition completely.  If you delete the partition, space becomes "unallocated".

  Because I guess C is your system drive (where Windows is), you may be able to use the diskpart tool to extend the partition F to use the unallocated space left if you decide to remove E well it's much easier (and safer) to do with disk management third-party tools such as Easeus Partition Manager free : http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm

• Nightly rollup error - bad record has been read

  Performance of AA 5.4.3 with the latest service pack. Received this error while the accumulation of every night was happening to one of our groups:

  Thanks for your question.  Incorrect records / corruption should not occur only from repository space dipping below 10 percent but becomes less free space increases the risk of failure of task such as rollup and repository maintenance tasks.  Over time this could have a negative effect, so the 10% guideline is a notice to allow customers to extend the repository, archive data on or apply a stricter retention policy.  10% is a figure of the right orientation to watch in all of your deposits and AppAssure SMTP alerts can be a great help with this.

  Broader patterns of corruption can vary considerably, but interrupted rollup jobs because of unexpected stops or connectivity between the heart and the repository issues are common problems.   Another frequent problem can be environmental issues.  The speed of the underlying disk where the repository is very, very important.  Repositories based NAS suffer more problems that directly attached storage, often when the design limits have been exceeded or praising the memory is too small.

  The current version of 5.4.3.106 has been very stable, so I hope that your current experiences were better.  I'm a big supporter also approach "backup backup" and have a core of replica or archive (cloud or disk) can be a huge advantage to complete a standard basic configuration.

• Why data won't appear in the graphic metric?

  I am trying to create a dashboard with a graphic of the metric, but whenever I select a metric, the array is empty.  What I am doing wrong?

  I chose the vCenter Type of adapter and the Virtual Machine object Type, then disk space | Remaining capacity of value (GB).  Nothing is displayed.

  A few data points do not have place every 5 min, but rather each 24 hours or more given their synthetic calculation as part of your planning of policy settings (buffers, commit excessive, etc.) capacity... The period of default chart of 6 hours. Change the graphic period metric to 7 days, and I think you'll see the data points drop off every 24 hours or more.   Disk emulate a 512b sector size and I was wondering if this is likely to be part of my problem? I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem or could use directly attached cards raw device with greater than 2 TB disks?

  This problem has been resolved in the upgrade to ESXi6.

  The disks were already in GPT format and unfortunately version 10 of material did not help
