Speaker W540 whistle

I bought a new Thinkpad W540.

Everything works fine. But I found a problem.

Once I played all the sounds, I could hear the high whistle, it is very annoying.

Could you please help me? Or where I can test the top by technical support.

I am in Boston, MA, USA.

Thank you.

  • Helmet whistle after only 4 time under assistance

    Hello to everyone

    I own a Macbook Pro 17 "[start 2011]. OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

Forgive me for the long description, but it seems that one problem has evolved into several ones and I, on my own, can not find a solution.

On 24 February 2016, I took my computer to the title of the assistance that the battery ended of his life and had to be replaced. The hull unibody 17 "this operation cannot be performed at home as the Mac must be 'open '. For the first time, I thought to buy a battery online and replace it on my own, but to avoid "risks", I decided to take the title of assistance.

The same day they gave me back my computer, but after a few days, the logic board failed due to a "congenital". I picked up my computer a second time and they kept there for a week to replace the logic board. Fortunately, this situation is covered by the s in warranty program that apple found that almost all the Macbook pro early 2011 had the same defects.

Before making my computer the Apple store called telling me I could perceive the Mac, and that, because of the replaced logic edge start has a sort of a 'pause' [you see the loading bar then everything disappears and then you see it appear again]. The genius bar, I noticed that this was accompanied by a very slow start-up-in [clock] in hand, I counted three minutes.

Struggling to help again once they told me as would have checked my computer, and during a call in the end they asked if it was possible to format as it counted by the operating system settings always "calibrated" on the old logic board.

After the problem of formatting, reduced a bit, even if the start is still slower than before.

I'm back from my computer, but once I used it in an environment quite I noticed that the left speaker was a whistle every time a sound that's happened. The hiss remained for 30 seconds and then disappeared. The whistling was audible, even if the volume has been completely turned off and does not appear if the headphones are connected [no hiss were audible on headphones].

Took my computer under support the fourth time they replaced the left speaker and they said that they replaced the logic board [yet].

I picked up my Mac and the problem seemed missing.

So finally, we come to today, I was using my computer with headphones and I started to hear the hiss even, but this time just while I was with the helmet.

I checked online if other people had the same problem and it seems that most of them proposed to take in respect of assistance.

My question is: what should I do? I read on several that associated Mac forums that Apple products are "programmed" at the break after a certain period of time, if visitors are "forced" to buy a new product. My computer worked fine until I had to replace my battery, and it's the computer 17 "laptop last produced by Apple. I honestly don't know what do now that taken under help, seems it a mockery because I am sure that after replacing again thing speakers eject [maybe next time the monitor will begin to blink or light under the keyboard will fail]. I think about buying a new computer, but in all honesty, how can I trust Apple now?

By the way I want my computer back as it was before the replacement of the battery.

4 times in respect of aid for almost a week in less than three months is certainly unacceptable for a company like Apple like all that I heard 'experts' of the genius bar was "what you have in your hand is not only a computer, but advanced technology, etc etc..." but in the end all this "expertise" is not my problems but actually created new.

This hissing must depend on the battery? The logic board? A faulty speaker? Another element broke during the repair? A software problem?

This problem becomes worse and spoil the other parts of my computer?

Forgive me for the inadequate number of questions but the problems that I encountered during the 2 months never seems to come to an end and I really hope that the community will be more useful than the genius bar, where I felt treated like a number, with the audience of store who tried to solve the problem in the minimum possible time without even listening to the end What is the problem and how I got there.

Apologies again for the long explanation, but maybe the real problem is hidden behind something that has been neglected, and I want to make sure that nothing has been forgotten.

Thank you in advance for the help you will surely be able to give me

  • I can hear whistling by changing the brightness level of Satellite A300

    Hello

    Is this normal or not?

    Hello!

I doubt that this is normal and I don't have this on all my notebooks from Toshiba.

I think that it of not easy to help you and solve the problem, I have the best way would be if you go to a local ASP and ask a technician for help.

  • W540 - brightness of the display and audio output problems

    Hi all

I've got 2 separate but really annoying problems with my W540 20BH:

    -display brightness keys does not:

upon awakening from Hibernation, sometimer (really, randomly!) mode the brightness screen (Fn + F5/F6) keys do not work... If the brightness of the screen is stuck on max, min, or an intermediate level...

Any who experience this problem? How to solve it? Is there a way to stop and restart the process that controls the Fn keys?

    -audio channel switch gets stuck

A normal behavior of the audio configuration is:

    (1) the disabled speaker, microphone disabled volume

    (2) when you plug a headphone 4 pin, the headphone volume is running, microphone of the headset is turned on; the speaker volume is always turns off.

    (3) when you unplug the headphones, the volume of the speakers is always 0

After each start up, the audio channel is 0, but don't commute between the helmet when it is plugged!

I have to open the Control Panel, properties of realtek. With this window, disconnect and reconnect the headset. Now the volume has its normal behavior.

Anyone experience this? You have a reversal or a better way to configure the audio channels and events, which is able to bypass the realtek Manager?

    Thanks in advance to everyone!

  • Microsoft lifechat lx-3000 - whistling distortion from the microphone

Switch off the speakers and try again headset.

Sound cards usually feature a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), which converts recorded or generated digital data into an analog format. The output signal is connected to a headphone amplifier, or external device using standard interconnects, such as a TRS connector or an RCA connector.

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_card

Most of the cards her consumer have a separate audio input (often used to amplify the audio output of the CD-ROM) which is a good way to test the audio amplifier. In general, if a sound card has both speaker and output line, the speaker output is likely to be noisier than the output line (any hiss and hum will be more noticeable in headphones) . Unfortunately, the line output will probably be of insufficient current drive for all except the most effective helmet (look for models with sensitivity of 100dB sides or more). If necessary, compare the soundcard Headphone amplifiers with good audio specifications. To enhance the sound quality or for more volume, consider adding a line to the outputs headphone amplifier. Some computers radiate RF frequencies that may cause a headphone amplifier humming, then try to select one with a good RF shielding.

Thanks again for the effort, the problem is the sound I get is not released. This problem has been fixed (it was just my mic, echoing my helmet by some Skype problem caused) this is the microphone generating noise that comes out of nowhere, it looks like a rain/Static/hiss noise/white noise and can be heard by everyone I call on Skype etc and can also be heard by me when my system starts and I can hear my mic , I have turned off my speakers, removed my sigmatel audio drivers and it did not help, I tried to start with all other windows drivers stops and same problem persisted. I'm starting to think that it's really a hardware problem as opossed to a software problem. I'll take the headphones back tomorrow and hope that they can tell me more on this subject.

Thanks for all your time and effort, I apoligize nothing helped me
    Sincerely, Gilles.
  • XPS 8700, out-of-box speaker 5.1 audio problems

I had ongoing audio problems since the purchase of my XPS 8700 8.1 desktop system of 64-bit Windows on January 15 and set up with my speaker Altec Lansing 5.1 system existing. The strangest thing happens when I play audio from different sources.

When I use YouTube programs and music of Windows, Dell MaxAudio Audio Pro software plays audio perfectly thanks to 5.1 speakers. But, when I listen to music via iTunes or try to watch a movie from a DVD factory in my factory installed DVD player, the audio plays through my two front speakers.

In addition to the issue with my 5.1 speakers, I have constant audio noise/hiss through my speakers. But, it is stranger than most of the time when I move my mouse quickly, I can hear the movement of the mouse in my speakers. The 'mouse noise' is minimal, but you can certainly hear coming from the speakers.

I spent the greater part of the past month trying to find a solution to these problems - especially the sound of hissing sound coming from my speakers and iTunes music only 2 front speakers and not my sub or rear speakers (sometimes audio will be same break in iTunes).

I had no chance whatsoever to find a "fix for the problem of iTunes/5.1 speakers, so I'd appreciate any help on this. About whistling noise emitting speakers, here's what I what I met so far, but I have yet to try it (this solution came from Google):

SOLUTION: Go to the Realtek site (www.realtek.com.tw) > click on downloads in main menu > click on High Definition Audio Codecs (software) > accept the advice > download 64-bit Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1 driver only. Version R2.73. I clicked and downloaded the link US2: 64bit_Win7_Win8_Win81_R273.exe (103MB). I then ran the installation program which required two reboots to install completely.

ITS OWN PURE! The hiss is now gone when listening with my speakers. Moreover, the Dell Audio MAXX Audio Pro, which is delivered on the Dell XPS works always. I don't know what hidden feature, I could have lost, but I consider that it is resolved.

Someone has already tried this solution but who has experienced similar problems than me? I hate to be "Jackin ' ' autour with new software download and edit the factory specifications on my brand new computer. But I want my computer to work properly with my 5.1 system speakers, which worked well with my previous Dell desktop computer which was in the process of Windows 7.

One last question, can someone please clarify for me if the Dell Audio MaxAudio Pro software is a product of Realtek? I sent a support one or twice with the solution (Google) I listed above, but nothing but crickets from Realtek Realtek. Customer service poor, to date.

I thank you in advance for any help and solutions/workaround solutions, you can suggest.

It is their integrated (Realtek ALC3861 audio 7.1) product with an overlay software from Dell. So yes, you must use their site to get the latest audio driver. Our driver is very old, 20/11/13. I used the same audio driver of detail on my Alienware X 51. Works very well. I added instructions in the FAQ.
    * Go to the top of the Audio card to the desktop computer
    * Open Desktop Audio FAQ
Open the Office PC Audio drivers
    * Read "Update Realtek HD Audio"

  • Sound did not work, tried to fix it... got Loud whistling instead

I had trouble with my DELL XPS L502xX sound, it would work for: Web browsers and team speak, it worked for spotify, but now it does not work for what it is, I tried to look for solutions, and I think I've done worse by following these step I would have probably not done:

    1. open Device Manager and look for the device for which you want to restore the driver. The XPS L501X has graphics Intel or nVidia.
    2. right click on the name or the icon of the device and click Properties.
    3. in the Properties window for the device, click the driver tab.
    4. on the driver tab, click roll back to the previous version. (Is it is disabled, then it is not a previous driver to roll back to.) When the computer is restarted, the old driver will be installed.

After that I took these steps, I've restarted the laptop and the sound would not work on anything... so I went to the Control Panel > Device Manager > sound, video and game controllers

and it said Realtek High Definition Audio is disabled, so I gave him and then this whistling noise started coming out of my helmet, so I tried unplugging my headphones and the sound was still there, so I disabled it, and now I don't know what to do.

The XPS L501X has graphics Intel or nVidia.

Why you were looking at the graphics drivers to fix an audio problem?

In any case, try to use the Windows system restore. (Click Start, and then type system restore in the search box on Windows.) Select a restore point dated before before you rolled back graphics drivers. That expected to get riders to the way they were.

If this does not work, then download and install a new copy of the Realtek audio driver.

    > Go to the XPS L502x support page.

    > Find the small blue 'Change OS' button and select your operating system (Win 7 or 8). Don't skip this step.

    > Expand the Audio category.

    > Download the Realtek driver.

  • Keep only the voices of those who speak in audio file

So I have this audio file of a guy who speaks. Of course, it was recorded with a basic camera, theres a ton of background of noise such as plates rattle, or whistles and tweets and whatnot.

All I want is the voice of the man, nothing else. What are the best effects to apply to this?

    See you soon!

Unfortunately, you are most likely not able to improve a lot, if any, to this. None of the effects in Audition (or any other audio software) get rid of this kind of background cacophony without affecting severely the audio due. You can try to use the noise reduction, but the frequencies in the background noise will also be the same as in the desired voice.

The only way around that, I fear, is to use a good off-camera microphone near source during the shooting of this video. In this case reshooting the video would be the best bet. Or maybe get the guy to try to save just the audio and try and it sync with the pictures. That's what the film call ADR (automatic Dialogue replacement) industry. Hearing has an effect to automatically align the newly baptized with the original dialogue.

    Hey Chief Nir.

From what you describe, the sound of the receiver seems low for you. Let's go over some troubleshooting to get smooth it.

Start by taking a look at your receiver if something blocks or if it needs to be cleaned. Read the article below for more details and additional details to help solve this problem for you.

  • Does anyone else have a problem with the left speaker is much lower than the right?

Any source that I use the left speaker is much lower than the left. If I put my finger on the right I can feel the pressure of air pushed but not by the left. Is it an iPhone defective 7?

    Hello, TopDog16!

Welcome to congratulations on getting a new iPhone and Apple support communities 7.  From what I see in your post, you have any questions on the stereo speakers in your new iPhone.  I would be happy to help you with that!

Indeed, your iPhone has holes on both right and left sides on the lower edge (on each side of the connector of the Lightning).  The holes on the right are only speaker on this edge of the phone, however.  The other speaker in the pair is at the top of the phone, where the cut is, just above the screen.  Check here to see if sound comes out.

  • Apple Watch can play music through its built-in speaker?

I do a decent amount of race and the latter I ran with my phone and just play music on the built-in speaker. It's nice to not have to helmet bouncing around and it feels safer because you can hear the traffic and so on.

When first announced, I was under the impression, given that a built-in speakerphone, you'd be able to play the music stored on the watch through said pregnant. I haven't seen all the posts about this and now think that it is false.

    So that you can?

Obviously, the quality and the volume would be questionable, but still, I feel that it would be nice to have the option. Thank you!

    Hello

It is not possible to play music from the playlist synchronized via the loudspeaker on Apple Watch.

On the contrary, your watch can be coupled with a Bluetooth headset to listen to music when you run.

  • I dropped the cream cheese in my speaker

I dropped my phone down speaker in my bagel and penetrated my speaker of cream cheese and now the sound is muffled and I can barely hear at full volume.

There is no way to clean that. Try to introduce something to remove the cheese would only push it more later in, or if you've tried some type of liquid, it would be still worse. I suggest make you an appointment at the Apple store nearest Genius Bar, explain the situation and they can explain your options. It would be more than likely one out-of-warranty replacement. Good luck.

  • Mini Mac, microphone, speaker?

The Mac mini has a speaker and microphone, so it begs to play your playlist?

It has a very small internal speaker. It generates very low quality and is really intended to alert sounds.

    It doesn't have a microphone.

You can get a USB mic and plug the PC speakers with 3.5 mm.

You can also use a headset with a single 3.5 mm plug that has headphones and a microphone lke who came with iPhones before the iPhone 7

You can also get a USB webcam, since those who have microphones built-in
