  Perhaps.  Visit the hardware manufacturer's website and download and install its adequate for your sound card card device drivers.  (Audio).

  What you have is not something I know in light of what you have. ;-)

  I tried to plug in my sound souround in my lap. Well the wires accidentally touched something and then there is a loud noise, of course, we were surprised & so after numerous attempts, trying to have his surround for the computer, we couldn't hear anything so I gave up & just connect the speakers to the computer again in the tower. Well we couldn't hear anything now! I tried to watch a movie and NOT of HIS! We tried pluggin helmet & still nothing! & now even if the speakers are plugged and his saying that the speakers are not detected even if their plugged in! But if I check the sound I can see that the lines for the volume are moving up and down, but we can't hear anything! so I called a computer tech and he said that sometimes the sound is changed well I changed the sound and he was trying to detect the speakers, but it is still saying that nothing is plugged into the Speaker Jack when they are! Computer Savy not so much need help please! Blow something?

  Check Device Manager to see if you have a driver problem.  Click Start and right-click computer.  Click Properties-> Device Manager.  Look where it says "audio, video and game controllers.  If there is! or? next to the entries, you need to download the driver on the HP website.  If this isn't the case, right click on the entries there and click Properties to see if the device has somehow got disabled.

  If my headphones are already connected when I boot on Windows 10, they are not detected as plugged and so the sound comes out of my speakers Apple Studio Display (not working not properly - the helmet should be detectable that plugged).  If I remove the headphone jack and taken in again once, the headphones are correctly detected that plugged and the audio goes through them instead of Studio display.

  How can I fix this problem so that the headset connected at startup is detected correctly?

  If you remove the headphones and before plugging back them in, can check if you can see a small red light in the audio jack?

  After you have installed Windows 10 upgrade Windows 7, my second monitor is no longer functional. The computer is an HP Touch Smart 610-1065qd. I connect on the second monitor through a USB 2.0 Port Replicator 2005pr HP. The Replicator appears as a drive when you look at this PC and an arbitrator in him like HP USB DOCK, as it did in Windows 7. As a result, I tried the same process with the original disc. After each test, I rebooted the system. It turns out that the fault was with the HP 2005pr USB 2.0 Port Replicator. It seems that the driver may be at fault. After more than a month of waiting, I decided to replace the duplicator. I decided to buy a Port adapter to replace the duplicator. What is much less expensive experiment and see if it was infecting the duplicator. It turned out that my second monitor is back and healthy. I decided to continue to use the port adapter and buy a USB Hub to replace this part of the duplicator. I no longer use the HD Audio output, after replacing the old speakers with Bose USB speakers some time ago. I thank everyone for help.

  Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-b161ea Sleekbook and the internal speakers not working do not. Try perform a reset. When you perform a hard reset note remove all USB devices and remove cards memory card reader location. Disconnect all non-essential devices. If that doesn't help try to turn on the computer, on which you begin to press F11 repeatedly until the menu opens. You can do a System Restore.

  My microphone does not work.  I just had the microphone & tries to use.  I tried everything said earlier & still nothing.  I have SP3.  I try with any application.  I tried Windows Live Mail, Hypercam & others.  When you do the test it is said it had not detected voice.  It is plugged into the mic jack on the back of the computer, next to where the speakers are plugged. It's a new microphone that I received from Amozon. It has a mark on it, only 3.5 mm computer Clip on Mini Microphone. How can I get the microphone to work?

  Helmets of all brands are not detected after being connected. Sound can be heard through the speakers of the helmets... but the device isn't in the list. In addition... the headset microphone is not detected. So m forced to use the microphone integrated in... for which I loudly and strong to make my voice heard. I HAV set mic and volume boost to maximum already.

  M tired of trying all the tricks and stuff like that to solve the problem.

  Checked audio and recording setings to devices in the control panel... tried to reinstal Realtek audio driver... somwhere in your forum a previous version of the driver has been notified to b instaled as he didn't hav dat somebug current version has linked to my prblm.

  But all in vain.

  Basic necessity is to make Skype calls. Have checked the Skype settings also. Nothings dere too.

  The only thing I can think to add to my previous comment is to try another microphone. Unfortunately, there is not a dedicated diagnostic tool that can distinguish between a material and a firmware problem, so all you can do is try everything remove options when you try to diagnose such problems.

  Have you been able to solve the problem with the error code ox803C010A.  Too, I have a problem with one of my internal speakers not working not not and tried to access Microsoft fixit software to identify the problem until this error code appeared and put an end to everything.   My pc is a few years older than a year and works very well in all respects with Visa 32 bit. the sound card is a Sound Blaster X - fi 5.1 speakers, 2 GB memory and four hearts. I shrunk the drive to create a partition, etc. and installed windows 7 in the new partition (installed this while in Vista and not a boot sequence.  Boot from the DVD attached to the blue screen with no option to continue).  In any case, the installation went well and boots into windows without any problem. except the sound card is not detected.  using the original diskette does NOT update anything, that is pointing to it while in the driver update mode.  Installing the drive is not the part installation on 15 pilots or if the DLL.  after which, in the sound section, it now says no audio device is installed.  Before the installation, there was an article in this section, an icon of spdif. There is however no noise even if this point was present.  BTW, onboard sound is disabled in the bios.  Start in the form of Vista the screen option and everything works fine.  Any ideas would be welcome.  I have another small problem when I try to run a game (EQ) online, he throws an error message saying cannot access the memory to 0 x 00000044 and promptly closes when the user clicks on the ok box.  Ohter than I like Windows 7.

  This really sounds like a driver issue, have you guys installed the updated driver for your cards?  They are Windows 7 compatible drivers?

  If there is not Windows 7 compatible driver, another option would be to try to install the Vista drivers to see if there is no change.

  You can also contact the manufacturer to see if there is a compatibility problem known between the sound card / driver and the game you are trying to make it work.

  You must contact the Asus technical support to get the updated BIOS updated. Once that is done, try to install the necessary drivers and check the status.

  Note: Changing the BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.
