speakers not detected on the laptop after relacing hard drive

I am running windows 7 ultimate, my computer is a HPdv4-1427, my hard drive has been replaced by a computer repair technician, before repair speakers worked well, I had to reload my OS after replacing my hard drive.

There is probably a multitude of hardware drivers you need to install, including the drivers for your audio hardware. You can check this in the Device Manager (start-run, type devmgmt.msc and press enter). You will probably see a bunch of "Other devices" and/or devices listed with an exclamation point (!).

Research on the HP site which leads me to suspect that you have mistyped the model number of your CV. But if you visit the HP website for your region, you should be able to see a "Support and drivers" link near the top of the page. Choose your model and search for the drivers. Install drivers chipset first, then the other missing drivers afterwards.

For more assistance, please check the model number and advise us.

Try to connect the external HARD drive to the computer via the USB port and try to copy all content from the internal HARD disk external HARD drive. Then you could try to insert the external HARD drive in the laptop.
But I've never tried this procedure and don t know if it will work.

  • SSD not detected in the Bios after stopping

    Hello

I bought a SanDisk SSD II specially 2 days.

I plugged it in the first my motherboard SATA port and a SATA power cable. Then I started up my computer and installed Windows 7 Pro without any problem on the SSD, but after I shut down the PC, the SSD is not longer detected in the bios.

The thing is that if I enter the BIOS, the SSD is not detected the first time, but if I restart the computer it will be detected on the next launch.

Identically, Windows, if I do a "reboot", everything works fine, but if I make a stop, then SSD will not be detected the next time I start the computer.

Do you think I should return the SSD?

    Thanks in advance

I fixed it by choosing the AHCI mode (instead of IDE).

FYI, my motherboard is an Asus P7P55D.

  • Computer does not start if the 150 GB Toshiba HARD drive is connected

Hi, I bought an external hard drive of 150 GB PX1220E of pc world a few days ago. When I start my PC it sticks on the splash screen, and I have to unplug the usb cable and restart the pc, then connect the drive again to use it.

Is this an error with the drive?

    Hello

I googled a bit and it seems that it is really a Toshiba HDD.
However, for me, this is NOT a malfunction.
The external HARD disk is connected before starting. So I think that the computer is trying to boot from the external HARD drive and so it freezes.

You should check the boot order in the BIOS and connect the HARD drive after you start the procedure.

  • How can I keep windows genuine in my laptop after formatting hard drive?

    Hello
I have a dell laptop l502 with a premium windows home instlled in hard drive 7. now I need to format the hard drive, but how can I keep my windows 7? is it possible to save or I loss my windows genuine?

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is available for the most popular brands

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

This will allow that you reinstall Windows 7 while maintaining a true.

Make sure that you back up your data before reinstalling:

  • Lightroom will not start with the catalogue of external hard drive

Switching computers (Mac), I've updated Lightroom 6 4. He opened with an old catalog that won't only up until 2013, which is on an external drive. I tried to revive with my current catalog, and I get a message: Lightroom catalog cannot be used because the parent folder "/Volumes/ (name) / (name) of the hand catalog / (name) of the hand catalog" does not allow the files it contains. El Capitan has more patch file permissions in disk utility and, in addition, this catalog is on the same drive as the oldest catalogue is on. Any ideas?

Sharing and permissions of the older cases seems to be a problem with El Capitan.  I tried to copy a folder to an external drive. This file was created and copied using the Mavericks.  It would not copy. Said, I have no privileges, I think that the message. It was all in Finder NOT lightroom.

So, I clicked on the folder parent in question;  and then did you read the information.  In the result pane, I changed the permissions to "everyone".  It worked.  Then once it has been copied, I changed it back!  It takes a few minutes to update and warns that it can not be cancelled?  Don't know what it means until I am able to change permissions back.

In any case; Save then try this. I said back first?  Yes.  YMMV.

  • HARD drive not detected in the BIOS on Satellite A215

    Hi all

I could use to solve this problem: bought this laptop computer without a disk of the auction. Installed again 2.5 inches HDD SATA 250 GB, which was not detected in BIOS and also not detected when using a MS Vista installation disc. When trying to install Vista, get a message no drive seen HARD and demand for pilots.
I flashed the BIOS with version (2.0) of lates without problem through the CD drive, but still no detection of HARD drive.

The drive partitioned and formatted NTFS without problem by using another computer and USB SATA adapter using the command line method. Just for additional verification, I went on the new HARD drive to an extra 2.5 "SATA HDD used for backups, but that the HARD drive has also not been detected.

It is not a "compatibility" option in CMOS to select SATA or Auto, etc..
There is not a second HDD, so this isn't a question of slave/primary. There are no jumpers on the new HARD drive.
Set the CMOS settings 'by default' does not solve the problem.

The SATA connectors on the HARD drive and laptop computer are in perfect condition.
Also, the drive is not detected on the laptop connected via USB to SATA Adapter, but of course there is no OS installed to support this connection.

In any case, I just can't come up with any more ideas to try.
Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

    Best,
    Glenn

    Hello

The BIOS should recognize the HARD disk even if the SATA mode would be compatible or AHCI. This should not affect the recognition of the HARD drive.

You said that you have tested the condition of the HARD drive and it's ok, so I guess that it s no disc HARD question.
Hmm, you could try to format the HARD drive once more and then connect the portable computer HARD drive.

Another idea: Remove/Disconnect the CD/DVD drive and then connect the HARD drive to the SATA connector.
If it does not, then I recommend to test another HARD drive, otherwise if the new HARD drive would not work, then a SATA controller may be defective.

Try opening the iPhone before connecting to Windows. If the film is not empty, then the device should be listed in Windows Explorer. If it still does not show try to restart the computer and the device, and then try again. If it does not show more in iTunes then try iOS device is not showing in iTunes for Windows.

It may depend on your OS of the computer. What computer OS do you use? The latest version of iTunes works with some versions of OS X. either way, you can see this support document. If iTunes does not your iPad, iPhone or iPod - Apple Support
