Firefox starts on the computer, but will not be displayed on the screen
Firefox is loaded on a dell Windows XP computer; It works fine one day. The next day I had cleaned up cookies and temporary files when I clicked on the icon, it acted like it was running, but would never appear on the screen. Follow these methods.
Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .
Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
Method 2: Follow these steps:
Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.
Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode with networking, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 3 from the link to start the computer to a Normal startupmode.

HP Officejet 6500 Paper Out status on the computer but the paper loaded and test page prints
We have a HP 6500 CB815A, which works well for almost a year. As of today, we get "Paper Out" status on the computer, but there is paper loaded in the tray... the same high quality paper as we always use. The test printer utility reports the same status. However, the printer can print a test page and fax without printing problem status.
I unplugged for 30 seconds to reset, but we get the same status.
Someone has had this same problem and solved?

If you have not tried to reboot your PC, I would. If this does not clear the issue, I would follow the following steps:
- Click Start-> Control Panel
- Select uninstall a program (it's the heading programs)
- Find your driver HP software; Select it by clicking on it once, then select Edit. If the change is not available, select uninstall/change.
- Select repair and then follow the prompts for your software repairs itself.
- If your software does not have the repair option, it may be advisable to download the latest drivers from support.hp.com site. Uninstall the drivers for your printer, and then reinstall them using.
If these steps do not work, please post and I can continue further with troubleshooting.

1. If it is the domain controller, you cannot change the name of the computer by selecting network ID and this is normal.
2. If it is a member of the computer in domain or workgroup, you don't have permission to change the name of the computer.

Can someone help me, I can't reformat a laptop compact with a windows vista Business edition OS. I was wondering if I could use the recovery partition or do I have to use an installation CD. Formatting/reinstalling is overkill. A bit like buying a new car because you have a flat tire.
To reinstall, you can use either the volume of recovery or the recovery disc, both should work pretty much the same. In general, the product key is located on the system like a sticker (on laptops usually on the bottom). If you can't find yours, you should contact the provider or your network administrator (and in fact, if there is a working system, you should contact them before doing anything).
Before you do this right, you can try this: click Start and type CMD. Right click on the menu entry that appears and choose "Run as Administrator". Click on continue in the UAC prompt. From the command line, run:
ipconfig/release
ipconfig/flushdns
ipconfig / renew
Allow everyone to finish (return to the command line) before proceeding to the next. When you are finished, close the command prompt. See if that helps with your problems of connection.

HP Officejet Pro 8500 a Premium does not print the docs of the computer, but will display a test page. I constantly get a message that the computer cannot communicate with the printer. Not only it will be not be printed docs, it will not print web pages using 11 IE or Google Chrome.

Addendum: can I scan with the HP printer help. I open the HP printer assistant, he "gets" the printer information, then I select "scan a document or photo" and the printer answers. I have no problem with the sweep.
