Special the mouse cursor on the area

I am trying to create a training for a pretty advanced piece of software. This software uses several different cursors to indicate the different actions in certain areas: for example a helping hand, a triangle and two arrows.

My question: is it possible in Captivate 1 to simulate it? So can I specify a specific cursor for a given region (mouse over)?

And if not, what would be the best way to get around this?

Thank you!

Hi Dutk,

FYI (for your information) 'HTH' is not my name - Larry Walther is my name, and "CatBandit" is my screen name. 'HTH' is simply a shortcut for "hope this helps. Not much, but didn't want you to treat me like HTH for the next five years.

Sorry, but the mouse cursor can not be changed Mid-slide. In other words, there may be two mouse cursors (the same image or other) in a chronological slide. If you want to view cursors of evolution, you will need to either go to full-motion-check or split the action in several slides, and then change the slider to change the blade.

Sorry I can't help more with this.

  • The mouse cursor disappears when iTunes movie go full screen

This isn't a question... actually I found a hack solution to this bug and I wanted to share it with other people having the same problem.

Since the upgrade of the OS X El Capitan, I'm having a problem with my cursor disappears randomly. It is very repetitive if I start a video in iTunes with the enlarged screen and the cursor disappears. Indeed, after entering mode full-screen, iTunes mask the cursor of the mouse that is predictable. The problem is that iTunes may not reappear there again once, for example, when I go to another office for a temporary job.

Move the mouse does nothing, escaping mode full screen does not come back. It is very annoying. Like I had never had such a frustrating experience prior to a new installation of El Capitan 10.11.3 and update iTunes to 12.3.3, I thought that this is due to the update to iTunes. So, I made another new facility of El Capitan, this time without updating iTunes. But the problem still exists. It is interesting that I had this problem on my MacBook Pro 17 "end 2011 and not with my iMac 21.5" mid-2009!

After a little research, I found that this bug is not because of El Capitan, and happened randomly in the other years dating back to Tiger and maybe before.

Only new change I had made in my MBP Preferences system , was in the part of accessibility, and it was related to Zoom. I had always used this feature, but I put the Zoom Style 'full-screen'. This time (after the new installation of El Capitan), I had changed to 'Picture-in-Picture'.

I changed the Style of zoom "full screen" even once, and the problem resolved.

If this does not work for you, can be debilitating, other options, such as 'Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom' or 'Use of scrolling with keys of change to zoom movements,' can solve the problem.

We all know that it is a bug, and he has been there for a long time. I found that many people had reported it to Apple, but the problem persists.

For those of you who want to use the zoom "Picture-in-Picture" style, or set the zoom style full screen does not solve the problem of their mouse disappears, I will mention a few ways to recover the mouse cursor. The following solutions are applied to a mouse cursor disappeared after entering the movie to iTunes (or any other application) full screen.

    1. Move the mouse until the switching Office brings back the cursor. Now, you can switch the desktop computer and do whatever you want. (It's easier work, at least for me).
    2. Use Alt - Tab to switch to another program; This will bring the mouse cursor.
    3. Press Ctrl + F2 to activate the Apple menu. (You can also move your cursor away to top left and click to activate the menu.)
    4. Press Ctrl + up arrow (or swipe up with 4 fingers on the touchpad) to activate the control of the Mission.

You can also find other ways to retrieve the cursor of your mouse.

Hope this can help you with the mouse pointer disappears.

In MBP El Capitan the pointer of the mouse is where you assign to ' picture in picture ' or 'full screen '.

If you miss your mouse pointer, accessibility-> display "Shake mouse to locate" check to find your mouse pointer. It should be there.

  • How to control the mouse cursor using EEG signals

    Hello world

I am doing a project of cursor control using EEG signals. The idea is to find a way to all signals in a specific period of time in order to find the signal Ridge. Then, the highlight will be a parameter to control the position of a cursor.

Can someone tell me the function that allows you to control the mouse cursor?

I also found an old topic asking about it (http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Moving-Mouse-using-Labview/td-p/1285842) and I run an example of this link ( smercurio_fc) program. My cursor is stuck in the upper left corner of the screen, I can't control it again. Can you tell me how to run this program and to use the windows API?

    Thank you in advance.

Sorry, but I can't do it for you.

As I advised, you should take the free online tutorials. You clearly lacks the basic concepts of LabVIEW, as data flow.

Things more: in your real applicaton does not use DAQ Assistant, screw Express are generally not optimal for data acquisition. It is safer and better use good DAQmx live. What is the equipment you use? Sampling rate, etc.?

Why do you need to read data files? For testing? I thought that you will acquire data active, right? In your VI generate you some signals and write in a data file. Is this also for testing?

There are several constructs in your VI which simply don't make sense.

So again, I really suggest to go through online Core1-2 teaching material, which is accessible if you are a student, or if you have shared services provider license... It will really help.

  • Laptop screen stays black with the mouse cursor only after that comes the HP and Windows logo

    Hi all

No, my laptop model is HP Pavilion dv6 1337tx. My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit. So, today, I shut my laptop down by force by pressing the power button because it did not at this time. Then the next time I turned it the wrong problem started. Whenever I'm on the HP logo sometimes and then the Windows logo comes also. But then the screen stays black and the mouse cursor appears. So, what can be the cause of this problem? I also tried to open with 'safe mode' and 'safe mode with command prompt', but they did not help either.

Note - I tried the method of discharge after taking off the battery and holding down the power button. He could not help. All LEDS are working properly. I have no extra monitor, so I can't check the display elsewhere. Also, I ran the memory test which shows that everything is fine. Please suggest what I can do now as I can not enter the laptop now. What can be the reason?

  • The mouse cursor/pointer is a dotted line

I have a very strange problem that I can't seem to understand.  My mouse cursor (arrow) is essentially an image of an arrow dotted and is VERY difficult to see.  I tried to change the pointer to another through the mouse control panel, but it does not help.  Even more strange, I tried to screen capture the cursor so I could provide an image here, but it seems very well in perforated Cap!  My profession is in it and I'm completely stumped!

I use a HP laptop with Synaptics touchpad.  I tried to reinstall the driver, but that did not help either.

The slider looks exactly like it's supposed to look like when you type if you have the option Hide under this condition.  I checked for stuck keys and have rebooted several times.

    Hi golfercor,

Thank you for using Vista answers Forum.

"The only way I can get it to look normal is turn on pointer trails."  Then, for some strange reason, the pointer/cursor lines become completely solid, even when the pointer is at rest! »

This really looks like a video card driver problem.

When you updated the video card driver did you get it on the manufacturer's website?
    Is this a Vista 32-bit or 64-bit?

Variable monitor refresh rate are common enough, according to the material.

    Impatience back on your part.

  • Screen turns off after the opening of the session. The mouse cursor only appears

Don't know where to post this, but here's my problem.

I have a Dell laptop with VISTA professional who has worked perfect for 8-9 months. Since the beginning of December I started having this problem haunting log-in where to provide the user name and password, the screen turns white (black) and I see is a mouse cursor. Nothing else appears. I can get to the hostel Monsignor task by doing a Ctrl-Alt-Delete, but a stop or restart is not the problem. I tried the safe mode or VGA mode without result. The only thing that seems to work is time. If I leave the system at the prompt to logon for 5-10 minutes, I can then connect you ok but this delay is unacceptable. It's as if there is a service that needs timeout? Any ideas on what may cause this behavior?

The behavior is also described by others here and here but none of the suggestions have solved the problem for me.

    Appreciate any help. Thank you!

    -Jetland

You wanted to let you know the final outcome of this problem. I spent two good months of fighting through this problem and try all of the advice given. The problems have persisted. Beyond the suggestions here, there are pages on Google pages on this topic is delicate balancing sifting through the "answers".  So far, no one, including Microsoft, has been able to identify the problem or to locate a formal resolution. After having satisfied this during a road trip in 2 weeks, I have downgraded to Windows XP and wait anxiously for the release of Windows 7.

Try the following methods and check the status of the issue.

    Method 1:

  • Windows Vista starts with empty office and the mouse cursor, then restarts

I have trouble getting Vista to start on an Acer laptop.  The laptop is an Acer Aspire 6920 G with Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit on it.

The PC will start in an empty office with stop mouse cursor on this screen for about a 1 min and then it restarts and you go through the same process again.  I tried the safe mode and last good configuration to know but get the same results.  I have also tried to run the Startup Repair tool and get the same screen.  I can launch Startup Repair to boot from a DVD of Vista Home Premium 32-bit and I can run but it makes no different.  When you restart, you get the same problem.

    Does anyone have an idea?

No it isn't the trunk upwards with the black screen and the mouse.

    Hi KevinBricknall,

    1. have you made a recent software or hardware changes to the system?

Since you are unable to run start up repair boot from the Vista disc, you can try to perform a system restore start from the disc and see if it helps.

For more information, you can consult the following article:
