Speech recognition / speech recognition training

Earn 8.1 How can I do this?

Hello kcduffer0428,

The procedure for speech recognition is exactly the same as it was in Windows 8 and earlier versions of Windows.

1. right click on the Start button

2. from the menu select Control Panel

3. in Control Panel, click the speech recognition

4. in the window of speech recognition, click on the "your computer to better understand train you." Alternatively, you can click the Start speech recognition option to start the process from scratch.

  • victory of RT "Refresh" loses learned speech recognition training

I was nervous on the rt windows update to see if some bugs I found would be fixed... and I found the first drawback to refresh if you already formed win rt for speech recognition.

You lose speech when you refresh and you have to redo the training training.

Fix this Microsoft. Training should not have to do it again. Has what capacity of speech recognition lost? I don't know how much he actually learns...

Refresh means knocking out everything except the apps. It cannot be selective. This is supposed to be one of these stations last to solve problems.

  • Qosmio X 500 does not hear me using speech recognition / microphone

    Hello!

I often use the voice recognition feature Win7 Ultimate.
However, since a few days, the computer does what I say more.

Now, the built-in microphone is very insensitive: I have to get as close as in 10-15cm from the microphone in order to get acceptable results. I don't know what has changed... never had problems before.

When I try to do speech recognition, training my computer just can't hear me (at least it seems that Yes)...

I don't know what to do...

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello

I think you should check the volume level of the microphone.
Go to control panel of-> sound-> recording tab

Here you can see the Microphone device.
Now, check it and click on the properties button
Now new window pops up and here you have to choose the 3nd tab
Here, you can increase the volume of the microphone.

  • Windows speech recognition keeps closing

    Hi all

I have implemented recognition voice Windows last night and everything was working fine. I installed Windows speech recognition which worked well as Macros. Naturally, I was stopped for the night and went to bed.
Today, when I turned on my computer, I noticed that speech recognition have upward haven't started with him as he was supposed to.
Long story short, after trying to get it to bot, I noticed that the process was starting when I started WSR but it was only 12 seconds and then stop.
I restarted my computer several times for nothing doesn't. I checked the event log and found nothing in the speech of search terms or sapisvr (WSR process). I can run the tutorial and that works very well. I can also run speech recognition Training(I have actually completed it a few times just to see what would happen).  I also connected as long as another user on my computer to do the test and it worked on this user (again, so set it up).
Anyone have any ideas? I'm fresh out.
    Kind regards

    Hi all:

A few days ago, I thought about it and had an epiphony.
Because making a repair reveals exactly what the question here is, why not just create another user profile (since it works too), and copy my stuff. It takes less time, that's for sure.
I created a new profile and all my old files copied to it and set up speech recognition again. I reinstalled the program macro (what a wonderful idea it was) and restarted several times to confirm that speech recognition will continue to work. It's been a few days now and I have not had problems yet. (Good call on this JohnD)
Brent, if this question once again, I'll try the upgrade on site. This time I'll remember to bring my vista install disk with me so I don't have to wait however long again to solve the problem.
I'm really curious to know why this problem occurred again. I guess that's probably something unique to my case where a file has been corrupted or something similar. Well.
Thank you for all your help. I'll post here if the question should arise again. That is is not the case, I would say that this issue is resolved. Thanks again to all.
    Kind regards
    Aaron Ball

  • How can I get speech recognition to work with text to train my voice, the way which the tutorial done?

The tutorial of speech recognition to train my voice is not large enough for the engine get good recognition of my voice. I want to put in place a couple random pages of text (like a novel, etc.), and that I dictate the words in the program he would coordinate the words I read with the text I was reading from and type what I read to show how he got trained.

Here is the translation of the above using the voice recognition program.

If this tutorial from speech recognition to train my voice is not a large enough for the motor get a good and recognition of my voice.  I want to put in place a couple random pages of text (like a novel) which does not run and I dictate the words in the program that he would coordinate the words I read the text I was reading types of what I read, that the show has done which forms

The foregoing would take a lot of editing, which I already did a large part of. Also if you change the type of microphone that you are using, you could start any training.

I'd be cool if (with headphones), you might get feedback that the program thought you said so that you wouldn't be constantly replay to see if it came out correctly.

  • Speech recognition does not recognize dictated.

Recognization of speech is dictated not recognized as dictation, includes only orders. It is a novelty because when I started using it it worked fine. The microphone is very good because he always hears commands and responds correctly. Any ideas? Please, I beg you.

    Hi Mlee,

Control Panel-> speech-> speech options Advance open pick and choose the language (English in the United States). Try the word by far.

There are several ways to correct mistakes made during dictation. You can say "correct that" to correct the last thing you said. To correct a single word, say "correct" followed by the word that you want to correct. If the word appears several times, all instances are highlighted and you can choose the one you want to correct. You can also add words that are often misunderstood or not recognized by using the speech dictionary.

To use the alternates Panel dialog box

    1. Click to open Windows speech recognition.

    2. Say "start listening" or click the Microphone button to start the listening mode.

    3. Do one of the following:

      • To correct the last thing you said, say "correct that."

      • To correct a single word, say "correct" followed by the word that you want to correct.

    4. In the Group of alternates dialog box, say the number next to the item you want, and then on "OK".

      Note

      • To change a selection, in the Group of alternates dialog box, say "Spell" followed by the number of the item you want to change, click 'OK '.

    Use the speech dictionary

    1. Click to open Windows speech recognition.

    2. Say "start listening" or click the Microphone button to start the listening mode.

    3. Say "open Speech Dictionary."

    4. Do one of the following:

      • To add a Word to the dictionary, click or say add a new Word, and then follow the instructions in the wizard.

      • To prevent a specific word of dictation, click or say prevent a Word from dictation and then follow the instructions in the wizard.

      • To correct or delete a word that is already in the dictionary, click or say change existing words, and then follow the instructions in the wizard.

A speech profile has not been created. You can train your computer to better understand you by creating a voice profile that your computer uses to recognize voice commands.

        To create a voice profile

        1. Click to open speech recognition.

        2. Click Train your computer to better understand you, and then follow the instructions

  • speech recognition - "this command is not available now"...

I have windows 7 with office 2010 and when I try to say commands, such as select Word or correct the word or ordering another new paragraph I receive a message of this command is not available now... when it will be available? also, when dictating a sentence, if I stop it capitalizes the next word in mid-sentence... How can I fix that? and don't forget that I can't use the exact word or select Word... it took me twice as long to make this letter with speech recognition, of the type just... I read on these forums, I googled to death and please please please do not direct me to another forum... I set up my micro I did the tutorial and additional training, I looked over the options and others and I can not understand how to fix... the exact same question was asked and the person who answered just said set up the microphone, the tutorial and the additional training and as many links to forums... I clicked and traveled all the links and the answer may seem not available as to why my speech recognition accepts not my orders... Please answer and if you don't know, don't send me on a forum's wild-goose chase...

The solution to your problem is to click the speech recognition microphone, first before you open Word.  Once the speech recognition is started, right-click it, click options, select Notepad of dictation and then open Word.  If you do it in this order, everything should work correctly in Word.  Notepad will not come to the top.  The command everything will work directly in Word itself.  If you open Word first before the speech recognition and do not have Notepad - "command not available" will come.  I hope this helps.

  • Impossible to get speech recognition to start

    Hello
I have gone through the tutorials and training of the voice, but could not get my voice recognition to work.  I put it to run at startup, but when I go into Word and say "start listening" or any other command, nothing happens.  Also, when I go in speech recognition and click Start speech recognition, nothing happens.  Can you help me?  THX.  :)

I had the same problem.  I went to the Task Manager and found the process of speech. I finished the process of speech, then I returned to the page startup and restarted the program of the word - sort of the equivalent of software to unplug and plug.  Everything is OK.  Hope that helps.

  • WAV files as input for speech recognition?

Is it possible to use a wav (or mp3) file as input in the Vista speech recognition program and convert it to text?  It doesn't have to be perfect, just enough close conversion.

I'm no expert on the subject, so I could be off here, but here are my thoughts for what they are worth.

Even if you could place the speaker output in front of a microphone with no impedance or your comments I don't think that what you ask would work in technology current todays.

The voice on the audio file will have to go through the training recognition speech engine voices.  If she has a few guitars and drums on it plays loudly in the background, you could see smoke coming out of the computer.  As it is, vocal training has to be in a quiet environment.  It would be better if you were to get a copy of the audio voice and type it yourself, or read into a microphone and let the speech engine to write it.

You don't say what version of Windows you are using or which device (computer, tablet or phone)? Not knowing, trying to go to the control panel. Click speech recognition. In the window that opens, on the left side, click Advanced speech options. Make sure that the language corresponds to your language and Windows keyboard. The illustration below shows US English.

If the language is correct, try changing the language to something else in the list and click on apply. Restart the computer. Then return to your language, apply and restart.

If the above still does not help, try creating and training a new user profile with a different name than your original profile.

One of the characteristics of WSRToolkit V3 is the Transcription of a. WAV file. However, it is intended to be used with a trained user of one person speaking profile. For the greatest accuracy, who talks needs to be clear, speak in sentences and punctuation such as comma, question mark, period, etc.

  • Speech recognition working if I'm talking about orders

My Vista speech recognition will always "assume" I'm dictate if I Word or Wordpad
Open.  For example if I say "Show Numbers" will be just as in my document.
I made the tutorial completely about 6 times, I did additional training about 5 times
hoping that this will refine all the problems she may have. I have a high quality microphone headset.

If I say "File", it won't add to my text in the document that is to say accept as my dictation...
If I say 'Save' it will simply add file save my document if one is open and active
    otherwise, that nothing will happen

If I did not open a program such as Word or Wordpad,
then nothing happen for example if I say "start" or
    "Open..." Open Internet Explorer...

If I say "Show numbers" nothing ever happens
except if I have a document open will be added "show numbers" the text of the document...

    Dictation works when I dictate.
but it's my gratitude speech going to dictate.

    Hi myra2001,

Sorry for the delay getting back to you.  Sounds like you have quite a problem here.  I've been looking around and saw something, you might want to check.
Please take a look at this Web site guide to speech recognition Windwos

  • I am trying to set up my computer, so I can send emails and letters with the Microsoft speech recognition

Salvation in Ottawa Canada.  I am using the above in my laptop.  I was given Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 running Micro cover and the disc that comes with it.  Disk would not properly charge during installation.  I went to the Microsoft website and tried to download this product, and I got the same results.  Sometimes I plug my head game, and it works for a long time.

I am trying to set up my computer, so I can send emails, write letters nothing complicated.  I use speech RECOGNITION Microsoft,.
instructions.  My first questions.  Do you actually have a program, in order to activate speech recognition?

I'd appreciate any help, advice, etc.

    Hi Bryan,.

You can use your voice to control your computer. You can say commands that the computer responds to, and you can dictate text to your computer. Before you start using Windows speech recognition, you must have a microphone attached to your computer.

I suggest you to see the links and check if it helps.

    Hello

I suggest you check with the Windows Compatibility Center, to check what digital voice recorder is compatible with Windows 7 and Windows Vista, since the following links and you can use these digital voice recorders.

  • Speech recognition Profile Import Export problem

I have problems to import a profile that I put in place.  I'm upgrading my hard drives often, so I'm always import and export of different profiles.  I have run the little program "Speech Profile Manager" and I export my profile (by default and only one), but when I go on the new computer, same version of vista and everything, I get huge errors and it does not matter.  This is how it goes down:

I have not a single program open, just after a clean boot:

    1. I run the speech profile manager

    2. I click on "Import", I find the file to import and say OPEN.

    3. it is said so "do you wish the profile imported by default?"  I click Yes

    Image here: http://tagr.org/images/Default_Profile.jpg

    4. He said to them 'the microphone settings must be granted before use... You want to now? "I click Yes.

Speech at startup and then switch to sleep mode and that this error pops up:

WARNING: Engine target () of the profile is not available.

Profile data has been imported, but won't work for the missing engine.  If you install the engine at a later date, please fun the microphone Wizard.

And then 1 million errors is the first:

"ERROR: cannot create (Files\1033\L1033.tpc) key in the registry." Please make sure that the speech is installed and that no programs that use speech (for example) are open, and then try again.

    Image here: http://tagr.org/images/Yes_To_Mic_Wizard.jpg

If I say no the Microphone Wizard, I get an another huge list of errors, but a different number:

"ERROR: cannot create the key (Files\TrainingAudio-0409-10C902C1-A71A1D60) in the registry." Please make sure that the speech is installed and that no programs that use speech (for example) are open, and then try again.

    Image here: http://tagr.org/images/No_To_Mic_Wizard.jpg

I don't even have office on this computer.  Profile is certainly not the profile, I spent months tweaking. It's a blank profile.

I tried Yes and no on each option, micro USB plugged out, jack mic 1/8 '' plugged in, I tired it work on 3 different Installations of Vista. I tried to re - export profile several times. I get a similar set of mistakes every time.

    Help!

The software that you are using was built in fact older versions of Windows and is not listed as compatible with Windows Vista. I apologize because I was under the impression that you imported files to an old Windows XP system running the Tablet PC edition or Office 2003 because the error indicating "target engine () of the profile is not available." and the use of the older tool. Resource: speech recognition Profile Manager tool

Speech recognition Profile Manager tool is now obsolete, because vocal training files can now be migrated using the Easy Transfer Wizard. The wizard is available for Windows XP via download and integrated in all Installations of Windows Vista.

To transfer voice (including the training files) user profile settings, please perform the following steps:

-Click on the ORB start and type EASY in the search bar, click Windows Easy Transfer icon that appears - this will launch the wizard:

-Click Next - select start a new transfer
    -Choose my old computer
-Choose to use a CD, DVD, or other removable media (even to memorize the settings on the local hard disk)
-Select the external hard drive or to a network location (even memorize settings on the local hard disk)

-Under Choose a network location, you can use the parameter to copy the files to your local hard drive by default:

-Choose any user account or my user account
-If you make a transfer from one account to another on the same computer or on a single account on another computer, then you choose the my account of yser option

-Choose advanced options will give you the choice to transfer only specific items in your account
-You can use this for example to transfer only files sounds and speech recognition and clear all other check boxes
-Once your choice, click on the wizard checks to see what items are able to transfer
-At this point, you will notice that all the items that are selected to be transferred, by default all data application, Documents, items of office and preferences, Internet Explorer, and Windows settings are selected whose sounds and speech recognition:

-Here you can choose again customize to select specific items you would like to be transferred after clicking on the transfer of your objects will be stored at the selected location

-To import all items to another profile on the same computer or on another computer, you will need to re-run the wizard and select a current transfer and a new computer, and then point to the location of the files previously exported.
