  • Accident of Win7 where format disc 4TB on MSI MS-7613

    Hello
I own a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-030sc system. This one got the card mother MSI MS-7613 with Intel P55 Express Chipset.
The OS is Windows 7 64 bit.

I want to change the data (the second disc) with a new Seagate 4 hard disk to disk. Original 2 drives 750 GB inside there. The initial startup disk from there, so no problem with the BIOS.

What works: boots very well. DiskPart - clear - GPT - add a primary partition - Yes got my 4 TB partition.
What dose does not work: format drive (NTFS)

When I run format, it runs for a while (5-10 minutes), the PC restarts. Sometimes it gives a blue screen for 2 seconds.
I tried to format it using disk management and DiskPart. Also start in Safe Mode, and the fact the format, but same problem.

    Please help me...

I'm on the latest official version of the BIOS for this system.
But there is a firmware update for the SATA controller?
Who will be part of the P55 chipset, right?

    Best regards, Georg

I found a solution to this problem.

Go to intel.com and download a new "driver intel rapid storage".

I didn't get the last worm. 13 xxxx

Read on some wiki that my chipset is not supportet.

So just go for the 12.9.0.1001 version.

Wupti, all 4 GB was there and format quict took little time as expected.

The WRONG answer, you give me and point at the MS site, is if the disk should be the startup disk.
But please read my Q. I want it to be at DataDisk only. And Win7 fully support this. Then, when when juice the operating system is started, there is no councern on BIOS.

    / George

I'm looking for the proper chipset drivers, or compatible drivers, for the card mother MSI-7184. The chipset is ATI RS482 & ATI SB400. Specifically, I'm looking for the following drivers:

PCI express filter driver - currently using Catalyst 8.3 ATI PCI Express (3GIO) Filter Driver

I'm looking for drivers because my CPU usage is constantly at 45-60% usage. My processor is an AMD Athlon 64 X 2 4200 +. Devices and drivers of Thease are what Vista has recognized and loaded. I don't think that is correct. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Sean

OK, I found the appropriate drivers!

    ATI drivers:

Drivers of North Bridge: catalyst 8-12_vista32-64_sb_72277

SMBus, & IDE drivers: catalyst 8-12_vista32-64_72274 - run the program so it extracted all files in c:/ATI do get out. Then manually install two IDE controllers and SMBus drivers by using Device Manager.

Also, I solved the problem with the hardware interupts. The on-board USB controller and suport Legacy interfere with the video card. To fix this go into the BIOS and under Advanced, disable Legacy support. Then in Device Manager disable all three usb controllers. These controllers have been disabled as soon as the missing of interruptions. I'll get a PCI usb so I can still have USB ports.

  • List of the USB pins map mother MSI MS-7778 Jasmine

    Hello

Simple question, but I can't find a sure answer: I need the list of pins for two connectors USB 2.0 "front" on the card mother MSI MS-7778 Jasmine in my desktop Pavilion P7-1539, marked F_USB1 and F_USB2. I guess this is the "classic" configuration, but I would like to be sure before I try to plug them. Thank you!

USB2 has 2 rows of 5 pins with 1 missing. The USB3 has 2 rows of 10, with 1 missing. Here are the cables.

    This might help you.

  • Card mother Iona-GL8E MS - 7613 and internal driver SATA compatibility

    I have a 1 TB internal hard drive (SATA2) ST31000528AS and I would add another either a 1 TB ST31000524AS (SATA 3) or 2 to ST2000DL003 (SATA3).

The 3 SATA would work on this motherboard? I do not fear speed SATA 3 (6 gb/s) being the speed of SATA 2(3gb/sec) as long as they work.

I'm leaning towards the 2 TB as the cost of the options is mininal compared to the 1 TB.

    Hello

You have a newer PC, so I don't foresee a problem using a 2 GB hard drive.

  • Pavilion Elite 300Z: identification of card mother sata socket

My card mother Aloe-GL8E has 6 sockets SATA of different colors - black, white, blue, yellow, red. What the colors mean on this forum, as I think they are all 3 GB/s? I want to add a second HDD - does matter which plug it goes in?

The plugs are numbered from 1 to 6.  The boot order will follow in succession.

I found a reference.  Can you check the color and number?

    Dark blue - disc 1

    White - disc 2

    Light blue - Disc 3

    Yellow - disc 4

    Red - disc 5

    Black - disc 6

    Hi all.

I have a simple question: is this compatible with the standard ram card mother MS-7613?

    http://www.Corsair.com/en/CMX8GX3M2A1333C9

How did you select the Corsair ram?   I can't find a link suggesting its compatibility with your exact computer. I found three different modules 4 GB here who are recdommended.   Found an example of it on Amazon.

  • How many ports of SATA drive on the card mother m8407c

    Hello

It shouldn't be a problem with the addition of a hard drive to an empty SATA port.

The mother Bencia port sata card layout is shown below.

I log in general optical drives to SATA ports numbered higher but I don't see a problem with leaving your connections intact. I had this same mother in another PC of HP.

After installing new hard drives, boot into the bios and make sure that the new hard drives are recognized. See the image below.

  • ESXi 3.5 does not start after the failure of the card mother SATA port 0.

I have a DELL PE1800 with ESXi 3.5 U3 Server installed on HD1. The card mother port SATA 0 failed. I bought a new sata, Rosewill RC-218 controller card. Installed and attached hard drives. Configured the BIOS to disable the integrated and restarted sata controller. Now ESXi 3.5 will not start.

My old configuration has two hd with ESXi 3.5 U3 on disk 1 and my VM on disc 2. Now no drives are seen by ESXi 3.5. Yet see bios of them.

    Todd L.

Another thing you could try is to install ESXi on a USB key. http://www.yellow-bricks.com/2008/07/29/ESXi-35-update-2-on-a-USB-memory-key/

Plug your storage space on good sata port. I have an eye for a sata controller from dell PERC 5 can be had quite cheaply on ebay and others.

  • The card mother MS-7184 (AmethystM) in my old HP PC takes in AHCI mode?

First of all, thank you for taking the time to read my post!

I recently bought an OCZ Aligity 4 256 GB SSD drive. I want to use the SSD as drive replacing the original hard drive in my old HP Pavilion Media Center TV m7334n desktop PC. Here is the link to my pc:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=us&LC=en&DLC=en&product=1821850

I know that the motherboard identified on the Web site above for this model of PC is A8AE-(AmberineM), but the motherboard I have is MS-7184 (AmethystM), the specifications of the motherboard is here:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00378480

I updated the BIOS with the latest version (3.47, 03/03/2006) I can found on the HP website. In the BIOS, I can't find any info on the AHCI support. My questions are:

1 - is the card mother MS-7184 (AmethystM) in my old HP Pavilion Media Center TV m7334n Desktop PC support AHCI mode?

    2. how to configure CMOS when I use the SSD as my main drive on the old HP computer?

Note Please that I have aleady copy drive hard whole orginal on the new SSD and I started my computer on the new SSD. This works. I have another post questions on the recovery of the system on the SSD, the post is here:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/desktop-operating-systems-e-g/system-recovery-doesn-t-work-on-cloned-SS...

    Thank you!

    You are the very welcome.

I leave these settings at their default values.

You have the SSD connected to sata port, and it must operate to the maximum 150 Mbps transfer speed, 133 or 100 no matter what readings are displayed, as would an IDE drive.

The problem is that since there is no AHCI setting, the drive cannot enjoy the native command files or TOPPING.

Aside from that, an SSD should be better that a standard SATA I mechanical drive or IDE hard drive.

Even subjectively, you should 'see' a difference in sensitivity of disc, not you?

Improved time, faster startup time for research, for example.

  • HP P6 2120t: possible cards for the card mother Pegatron IPISB-CU on a computer of 2120t HP P6

So, I'm looking to upgrade my graphics recently. Over the months, I've been looking around and find out a lot about how work cards graphics, and I need to find one. However, what I don't know much about is the compatibility of graphics cards with card mother Pegatron IPISB-CU. I checked and I'm running on FRIEND 7.19 BIOS update 02/04/2012. It seems that I need to look for graphics cards that can work with "Legacy" BIOS. However, it's not not clear that even if I bought one it would work. I was hoping so to ask HP and the community if there was in fact a strong graphics card that would be 100% some works with my motherboard/BIOS card.

To archive the many discussions of forums, it seems the MSI 750ti ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127783 & cm_re=msi_750-_-14-127-783-_-Product ) is my best bet because it is said to have a switch making it compatible Legacy Boot. However, read the description of the product, I have not found this mentioned in the features. What scares me.

If someone could shed some light on what I'm working with. I would be extremely grateful. I'm ready for the possibility that there is no viable option other than buying a new motherboard and the OS, but if I can get away with upgrading my current system I would be very grateful.

Thanks to all who take the time to read/answer

    Drew

At the company MSI Web page in the master record for this MSI cardunfortunately didn't even State if power 6-pin PCIe connectors are needed. Also, it does not specify that there a dual BIOS or the old BIOS support. I wouldn't consider this one for your motherboard.

You may need to upgrade the PSU as your installed PSU doesn't have 6 - pin PCIe connectors with power cable to power the card video update.

EVGA and Gigabyte are also PCIe x 16 graphics cards with dual BIOS allowing a choice of inheritance or the EFI.

    Cards with BIOS double EVGA

    http://www.EVGA.com/articles/00767/

I'd take a peek at the r7 of Sapphire Radeon 260 and higher and r9 in the 300 series Radeon cards. In fact, they have a physical switch on the map.

    Sapphire video card specifications

    http://www.sapphiretech.com/catapage_pd.asp?cataid=271 & lang = eng

What is 100% certainty in the work with your motherboard, you upgrade a ready to use PC or a system as you put as well as components custom, studied and chosen by yourself.

I suggest you buy your video card with your credit card. If this does not work with your motherboard you can return. Which takes an element of risk fomr away the attempt.
