• I need to backup my emails so I can replace my hard drive.

  I read the response "I NEED TO BACKUP the FILES of mail ELECTRONICS, WHO CAN ALWAYS BE READ LATER". but who was referring to the IMAP and I use pop. I expect that the procedure is the same, but that is the problem. I have a lot of files to attachments. The answer does not expressly say that bindings and / or embedded images will be included with the saved emails. I expect that most people take for granted, but it's the first time I'm trying to back up the files. Several years ago I 'save page as' with a few pages in Firefox and when I opened the once again the pages were nothing like the original. I think the only thing that saved were the links to images that have been on it, and they were no longer on the net. Since then, I've been nervous about back ups and import / export. My hard drive is a failure so I have to replace the drive, reload TB, and bring back the files. If anyone can give me some advice, I would be very happy. Dave

  Thanks I didn't loose all attachments, but I saved attachments to files on disk. So I thought that this could be considered an extraction. I am running Spinrite on the disc right now, but I'm going to busy with the links you sent me. Can I mark this resolved and ask a question if something happens? Thanks again, Dave

• Satellite 2430-402: 437 Application error during recovery

  Right, I've got a Toshiba Satellite 2430-402 (purchased new) for at least 3 years. I have formated several times before and re-loaded windows back on with no problems until now.

  The problem only started two days ago, when I noticed my CD drive was not recognized. So I decided to format etc, came out the disk Recovery Utility that came only with the computer to install everything, and it will not go beyond 12%. I'm greeted by * Application error 437
  Can not read the file.

  I left really stuck and cannot load anything. I fdisc / formatted /spinrite / kill the hard disk, just in case where there is something nasty on here and can still get nowhere. This is the first time I'm really stuck.

  This could be the engraver of CD or would it be the hard drive or basically the computer is nakered. I inspected the recovery disk, and they are all clean!

  Maybe your allowed some ghost image parameters that are not supported by satellite Pro A100 or missing some drivers SATA or IDE!

• Satellite 1900-303 Wont Boot up black screen only - help!

  I have a major problem. My Toshiba Satellite 1900, Windows XP Home edition, P4, 2.0 Ghz, 256 MB of RAM (not SP2 updated) won't boot to the top.

  At this point, I'm stumped. I got a job on the laptop (Excel files) that I need to access. Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.

Sometimes (perhaps 50%), you can try to replace the circuit board with the exact same model Platinum (even if you buy the same model of car, they may have different circuit boards).  The problem is that newer readers have a flash memory chip that stores the settings for each specific access accurate and speed reader. If the exact same Platinum turns the drive, but can't read well, he have to unsolder the flash chip and move it to the new circuit board. Then, the chances improve for recovery. If the new Platinum will not turn the engine, the engine is bad. • revealing errors of IO HD?

  with super duper or carbon copy I get I/O chess with my drive main clone process, to a variety of readers of destination. I tried testing large and repetitive drive with Warrior drive, disk utility, the test drive of Blackmagic application, and it consistently passes all tests. Are there any utility with which I can call and reveal mistakes of e/s on a failure potentially lead to check, or are these utilities clone the only option to have revealed these problems? Thank you

• After upgrade to El Capitan Time Machine does not automatically

  Recently, I upgraded my Macbook Pro and iMac 24 to El Capitan.  Time Machine does not automatically work on the iMac.   I now use the backup to get a backup to run.  MacBook Pro is very well.

  Sounds like a failing hard drive. If you have access to a PC, you can remove the drive from the laptop and connect it to the PC with standard SATA power and data cables to save as much of your personal data as possible. An external USB box will do the same job.

  If you fit a new drive, you will need an Acer recovery disc to use the existing OEM license key because it will not accept a Windows disk at retail. Not a problem with Linux of course. The recovery disk will not restore the hidden restore partition. It won't help if the failure is on the Commission to control the player, but if the problem is caused by errors in sector, you might be able to connect the player temporarily using Spinrite https://www.grc.com/sr/spinrite.htm although it is a costly gamble to $89.

  The program attempts to move the data from the damaged sectors. If he succeeds, the drive works normally again but it's just an opportunity to use an imaging program like Acronis True Image, Norton Ghost etc to clone all the partitions on another drive.   Today, after Church, I came back with a FD & performed a running MemTest + (4.1) one pass, now 6 SpinRite is testing the drive.

  The computer is a HP Pavilion with a 2.2 GHz Dual core Intel, 4 GB DDR2, 500 GB HD (about 25 GB used, a normal installation with another recovery - 15 or 20 GB partition as I remember) I could see with EBCD & Hiran) and a M/B IPIBL-LB.  She put it in a network with a new HP Pavilion (a1640n).  I don't know which box did its accounting data on it - or if the two don't.  (I has not implemented its network, I'm just helping low-cost when his computer gives its problems the weekend & his ordinary man will then come).

• Hard drive shows in the Bios and Device Manager but not in disk management.

  I recently had a hard drive fail because of the excessive heat in the computer case (he also took a memory too). When I plug the drive as a secondary drive in any computer it will appear in the Bios and the Manager of devices, but not in disk management, nor can it be considered be as ZAR and Spinrite disk utility.
