Spread juice on MacBook Air 13 "2014

I have juice spill on my MacBook Air 13 "model 2014 A1466. MacBook works fine, but when I want to watch YouTube videos it starts to use Paste (but laptop is not hot) and Macbook starts to slow down. Kernel_task is also at this time in the 300 surveillance system. What should I do?

Unfortunately, Mac is not waterproof. You're lucky if it still works after contact with your favorite juice. Usually the devices and water don't mix and water damage are not covered by the warranty. Corrosion has already begun.  You must schedule an appointment of genius at the Apple Store to evaluate the level of damages. They will offer you the best solution.

  • Help on MacBook Air early 2014

    On my Mac:

Running: OS X Version of Yosemite 10.10.5

    Processor: 1.7 GHz Intel Core i &

    Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

    Storage capacity: 120,14 GB

Hey guys so recently my mac received a message saying that the startup disk is almost full.

The problem is my apps, movies, photos, audio and backups add up to about 18 GB while the other has 97,58 GB I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of the things in the other with them mess up my computer. Because before you have a mac, I got a laptop Acer Windows 7 that when I went to reset the factory messed up and it had to be repaired. If I'm slightly hesitant to do a Factory Reset / Hard Reset on my mac.

First of all understand what OTHER includes:

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT202867

Then download OmniDiskSweeper and Grand Perspective (both free) Internet and open them. They will show all your files and respective sizes. Transfer to an external HARD disk or remove files, that you no longer want on your MBP.

Don't forget to empty the trash. Then only the space is allocated for the new data.

  • MacBook Air (early 2014) El Capitan impossible to install Windows using Boot Camp Assistant 10

The ISO image has been downloaded from Microsoft.

I was using a 8 GB USB (although not a brand new, but erased and formatted by disk utility).

When the State of the task of the Assistant Boot Camp completed "Windows Backup Software Support", Mac restarted.

As we see from the videos of YouTube, the Mac should start in a configuration of Windows but my screen as usual!

Still, he resumed the partition (in my case 40GB) but it is empty!

Can even suggest what is the problem here?

You can try a different USB2 flash drive? What brand is the current USB?

  • Tap to click and three fingers slide no longer work after El Capitan update - MACBOOK AIR early 2014

Things no longer work after the update are:

    1. TAP to click (I checked it on SYS PREF > TRACKPAD > tap-to-click)

    2 finger three windows

3 Thre finger of several files and text selection.

I have selected three fingers slide accessibility and options of the trackpad iv done 4 fingers to mision statement and app expose, but the problem is that these feature mission statement and the rest three fingers still work. :@

It was just beautiful in yosemite please give a solution.

Please read this message before doing anything.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

    Step 1

The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is localized to your user account.

Select the feedback connections* and log in as a guest. Do not use the Safari connection only 'user comments' created by 'find my Mac '.

While signed in as a guest, you will have access to your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you use them for the first time. Do not be alarmed by this behavior; It's normal. If you need any password or other personal information in order to complete the test, save, print, or write them before you start.

Test while signed in as a guest. You have to re-create your trackpad settings. Same problem?

After testing, log on to the guest account and in your own account, disable it if you wish. The files that you created in the guest account will be automatically deleted when you log out of it.

    * Note: If you have enabled 'find my Mac' or FileVault, then you cannot activate the guest account. The login 'User comments' created by 'Find my Mac' is not the same. Create a new account to test and delete it, including his home folder, after testing.

    Step 2

The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is caused by changes in the system of third party that load automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.

Please take this step regardless of the results of step 1.

Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

The login screen is displayed even if you normally connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

Test in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of steps 1 and 2.

  • 2014 Macbook Air check cable signal with Samsung Syncmaster 2494lw

I already posted this in the wrong thread. I have a Samsung Syncmaster 2494lw monitor that I am trying to connect my MacBook Air to 2014 el capitan running. I use a bolt of lightning to the adapter HDMI from Belkin to connect on the screen, then a DVI adapter to HDMI on the screen. When I plug in the computer, I get the "check signal cable"; However, connect other computers to the monitor works fine, including another mac. Does anyone have a solution to this?

    Thank you!

  • Pass an audition CS5.5 works don't not on 2014 MacBook Air

    Greetings!

Just upgraded computers (on a 2008 MacBook) to a 2014 of MacBook Air (13, early 2014).  I had Audition CS5.5 on my old Mac, so I disabled it, installed on the new Air and activated.  Everything seemed to install smoothly, but when I open the program and open an audio file, it simply doesn't work, plain and simple.  I touched the game and nothing happens. I try with the space bar and nothing happens.  The play button lights up but nothing plays.  I can add effects to titles and see that changes are in the waveforms, but can not hear back.  Even after changing, I can't save these changes.

    The specifics:

    13 "MacBook Air (early 2014)

    1.4 GHz Intel Core i5

    DDR3 4 GB 1600 MHz

Running OSX Yosemite (10.10.3, even my old MacBook with no problems)

With respect to the hearing, it is CS5.5.  There do not appear to be updates available.  I know that I can go to CS6 and I have no problem to pay for upgrade, but it will only do it if I know for a fact that the issue will be resolved.  And honestly, unless there are updates that are earth-shattering, I'm perfectly happy with 5.5.

So there.  Anyone has any ideas what could be the problem?  I did some research, but can't seem to find someone with I'm having exactly the problem.  Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

This means generally that the hearing cannot connect to the audio interface. You will need to check the settings in the Audio hardware / preferences of the hearing. You may also check the Mac audio and Midi to make sure that your audio interface is configured correctly. You have the correct audio drivers installed for your audio interface?

  • MacBook air water damage recovery of data flash storage of air from macbook to macbook pro retina

Last week, I spilled water on my macbook air that extinguishes immediately after that.
It's been a week that I let it dry without attempting to start.

Unfortunetaly, I did have a backup for 2 weeks, (of course bad luck should come at the wrong time), and I really need to get my data from the flash ssd drive.

I thought to transfer the player of Flash ssd of the macbook air to a macbook pro retina and retrieve the data since the macbook pro retina by making a backup. Would this work? This would not damage the macbook pro retina?

I have a macbook air early 2014, the macbook pro retina is also the same year.

Thank you very much for your answers.

    Best regards.

You'd better using an external enclosure of the MacBook Air SSD rather than MacBook Pro.

  • Mid-14 MacBook air won't turn on

    Big trouble in China little...

My MacBook air of 2014 lights.  When I plug it to the Magsafe, light amber, as if he were in charge - but I guess that's not.

The story is a bit complex. My husband and I are cycling through China, and we are weeks to be in a city with an Apple store.  We took the quick train to Hong Kong for the weekend, a couple of weeks and I plugged my computer to load.  Later this weekend, when the battery was dead, I plugged in to charge, and he left a little.  That's when he started... Or stop from where appropriate.

I took it to the Apple store in Hong Kong and they said it was probably the logic board.  For reasons of time, we have sent to a friend in Beijing who took it to an authorized service provider that works without problem, cleaned, charged for diagnosis, and they sent back.

I'll be just my computer a few hours ago.  Press the power button to make sure that things would turn out, he did, so I jumped on the charger it and we went to dinner.  When we arrived back, he would not turn back on... and that is where we are.  I did everything that Apple said to do, including resetting the SMC.

    Thoughts? Questions? Advice?

I would test with another charger if available.

    Ciao.

Depending on the monitor inputs, you would need an adapter VGA or a DVI adapter.

  • How many times should I stop my MacBook Air

I have a MacBook Air (early 2014), with a processor i5 and 4 GB of RAM. It will be 2 years from November 2016. Summer's going hard for me for a while now and works very well without any problems. I use applications like Final Cut, Motion 5 and Xcode and I am satisfied with the performance of such a light machine.

Apart from the information on my Mac, I have a question about proper use to optimize the performance and life of it. How many times have I stopped him? I use my Mac a day should I allow to sleep when I do not use as it has little effect on the battery and allows me to pick up where I left off. Should I only stopped when loading or is it okay to sleep by loading too? Should I stopped him every month or so or just during the software updates as I prefer to leave is majority of sleep of the time it won't have a long amount of time without me using it.

    Thank you.

If you do not meet the pigs of RAM, there is really no reason to close it. If you don't see the warnings of memory, a simple reboot menu Apple fade issue.

  • MacBook Air battery does not load after resetting SMC

Hi all, hope you can help me with this. My model of Macbook Air early 2014 seems to have some problems with its battery. The battery status says "do not load" and it is stuck at 74%. My charger light is still red and I tried to check the status of the battery, it is said to be normal; also I have reset the SMC and all that stuff that is suggested on the discussion Forum, but still it is of no use. Someone had a similar problem before?

Try resetting the SMC two times more.

If this does not help, please contact Apple support.
