SQL developer found bat file?

I installed the new Oracle 11.2.0.1 64-bit in windows 2008 sp2 64-bit, the sqldeveloper does not.

D:\app\serv_hyperion\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\SQLDEVELOPER\SQLDEVELOPER\BIN\sqldeveloper.bat
In fact, I can't find this .bat file, it's strange. I have to refer to the file sqldeveloper.exe and he's looking for a java and I send back them to a Java jre or a jdk, but stilll occurs. What is going on? why I can't find the sqldeveloper.bat file?

Hello

If you run this:

start > all programs > Oracle11g Home > Development ... > sqldeveloper

It will ask you the path to java.exe .

You can select and normally, you can use Oracle SQL Developer.

But, as the oradba displayed, it is better to download the latest version of Oracle SQL Developer * 2.1.1.64.45 * and you can choose to download the corresponding JAVA thus:

http://www.Oracle.com/technology/software/products/SQL/index.html

It is very easy to install (just unzip it) and use.

Hope this helps.

  • In SQL Developer Table CSV file import

    Hi all - I'm trying to use SQL Developer to import data into a CSV file in one of my paintings. (I'm trying to see if I can get out without using SQL Loader). Among the data elements must be cut before it will be insert in the database column, but I see no way to do it in the Import Wizard SQL Developer (step 3 of 4). I wonder if there is a way to do it.

    Thank you.

    I saw all the options on the CSV import, which will allow for the manipulation of file before importing.

  • Running a package in SQL Developer

    Hello

    When I introduce a new package in a database and the package is given bz *.pkg file, what is the difference between the opening of the packing of files in SQL Developer (via 'Open '->' file') and then run the package and just copy paste the code Pl/SQL package in an editor.

    I plead the cause I did the following experiment, which I've posted it here:

    Faraz' Oracle DBA Blog: error opening a PL/SQL package as a file in Oracle SQL Developer

    Run the file that has your ddl inside package and execution of the package itself - two different things.

    When you open a file in SQL Developer, according to the file extension, you will get either a SQL worksheet or a PL/SQL Editor.

    I'm assuming that your package file has made two database objects, the package specification and package body. If this is the scenario, you need to open it in a SQL worksheet, set your connection details, and then run with F5.

    If your file contains only a spec or body in pkg, you can and should open in the procedure Editor. There, you will see your highlight syntax errors in the code itself.

    I speak a little of that here, with some screenshots so I hope it's easier to understand.

  • SQL Developer, wrong file name registration

    Hello

    I use generation SQL Developer 4.0.2.15 15.21 on Windows7 Enterprise 64-bit. Recently, I found that when I save the contents of the pane out of the Script (by clicking on the floppy disk icon) and use the select a file to replace dialog box, SQL Developer is overwhelming in fact another file in the same directory.

    I already tried to restart SQL Developer, restart Windows and rename the properties - preferences.xml to force SQL Developer for the re - create (in case it has been altered in some way), but I still see the same behavior.

    My current workaround is to manually type the name of the existing file in the dialog "Save" to save a new copy.

    Anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem or how I could try to fix this? I searched the usual sources (google, this forum and My Oracle Support) but have not found anything similar with the exception of "

  • Oracle SQL Developer - File, Open, file name do not accept UNC path shape

    In Oracle SQL Developer, at least the file, open (dialogue), the name of the file (if not all the files / directory name) text box (s) is (are) not accepting, at least for me, the UNC form folders on network servers. The same UNC path (or UNC paths in general) work in the file / directory from all other Windows application name text box, I tried (from Windows 95 to Windows 7). Is there a way to do this? If not, it was intentional and where can I suggest this as a fix / development?

    I use Windows XP with SP3.

    Hi 906421-

    SQLDeveloper is written in java and runs on several operating systems. He uses (a derivative of) the standard java file picker. That said, I can see where it would be useful to add support for the UNC.

    You can add this to the Feature Requests to the SQL Developer Exchange. This is not only ensures we remember, but gives other users the chance to bring their vote for the feature and provides a forum for you (the user base) reflect on how you prefer it works.

    They don't have to teach you how to use this program?
    I suggest you go through the tutorials within sqldev first aid.
    Basically, you can just open them via file - open, or through Windows Explorer. Then, assign him the login in the upper right and run the Script (F5).

    Have fun

  • How can I change where SQL Developer search files?

    I bring scripts to create a database schema. The installation script looks like this
    @run_install_1.sql
    @run_install_2.sql
    @run_install_3.sql
    Some of these scripts themselves called files.

    I was running quite happily in SQL Developer for a few weeks now (well except for [url http://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=3616772#3616772] another this bug). However, now I am trying to get my colleagues to run scripts but they fail. The output of the script says
    Unable to open file "@My documents/run_install_1.sql" (or whatever).
    Basically SqlD is pick up their default directory instead on research in the same directory as the file calling.

    Of course, I managed to change this behavior, but for the life of me I don't know how. It doesn't seem to be an obvious preference to put this.

    Cheers, APC

    OK, well I guess it's a bad news good news story. It is important that you set the directory explicitly in SQL Developer. The good news is that the scripts are now both worked. The bad news is that they don't seem to work when you tried before (can concede typo perhaps?) Also that the @ is not such as you wish. So we have an ER to open a session on this.

    I am sure that we all have in the product of the areas that are important and it's one I use a lot, because I'm always rebuilding my test environment, so when my scripts fail, I'm not happy. ;-)

    In the settings of this directory setting, if indeed you run into inconsistencies. Let us know.

  • Saving files in SQL Developer

    2 questions related to saving files in SQL Developer, using the function "save under":

    -Is it possible to implement (by default) the last directory used, rather than raise the user's home directory?
    -Is it possible to define or implement default extensions for different types of files IE pkb/pks of packets, tpb/GST for types instead of .sql for everything?

    Thanks :)

    N ° more useful option, is that it records recent directories in the list shortcut on the left to save in the dialog box.
    Asked often before. Interestingly, the dialog box open the default file is the last used directory in session even if you start at HOME after each reboot.

    No once again. I don't know if this has been requested, but it is something I would find useful. You can ask in Exchange. http://Apex.Oracle.com/pls/OTN/f?p=42626:37:289830270605633

  • Oracle SQL Developer 1.5.5 cannot save the file

    I change the contents of a column in a table, I get this trying to save the changes:

    Failed to save TABLE... ("Failed save the changes").

    This error will disappear when I do the same task in Oracle SQL Developer 1.1.3.
    Please help me!

    You can avoid the prompt variable substitution with 'set scan off' at the top of your script. Who does not have the problem that the generated update is not updated all the records because of the clause last ORA_ROWSCN. This can happen if someone else updates the row that you questioned it before you have saved your update, but there were other problems with the clause ORA_ROWSCN generated from memory.

    In addition, the reason why you couldn't see the new value when querying after the update was that developer SQL has replaced the bit '& cc' of the string with the contents of what you typed in the field of variable substitution. If it wasn't, then the value would have been the same after the update.

  • SQL Developer debugger does not start

    I found a strange behaviour, while debugging PL/SQL stored procedures using SQL Developer version 4.1.0.19 on Ubunto 12.04 LTS. The debugger works fine for all the bases of my company, except one. When I start a debugging session in this database, the debbuger let go forever and never debug dialog box open. When I use another IDE, for example, PL/SQL Developer of AllroundAutomations on Windows 7, the debugger works very well. I used the same user database with all necessary Preobrajensky. First I thought it was a bad configuration of the database, but as I could start with another IDE debugging sessions, I think that this is not the case. So, I would like to know if someone could help me understand what is happening.

    Captura de tela de 2015-05-12 17:09:15.png

    We opened a request for support at Oracle and they offer us to turn on an earlier version of the debugger to work around the problem:

    Add at the end of the file line-by-line ide.properties:

    DatabaseDebuggerDisableJDWP=true

    The ide.properties file can be found here (on Windows XP):

    C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\SQL Developer\system${VERSION} \o.sqldeveloper${SYSTEM_VERSION}

    or here (on Windows 7):

    C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\SQL Developer\system${VERSION} \o.sqldeveloper.${SYSTEM_VERSION}

    for Linux users:

    $HOME/.sqldeveloper/system${VERSION}/o.sqldeveloper.${SYSTEM_VERSION}/ide.properties

    It works!

  • Help with MS Access SQL Developer Import (problem of DateTime field)

    So here's my dilemma...

    I am currently trying to import from MS Access to SQL Developer, by exporting MS Access to MS Excel and then import in my table of the exporting Excel sheet. What happens is that when I import the excel sheet, it is does not keep the format of date/time / I tried several different formats, but everyone seems to exclude the time and the date.

    My field of date/time is currently set up like this on SQL Developer:

    DD/RRRR/MM HH: MM: SS AM/PM

    And the Excel sheet, I'm importing the field corresponding, defined as follows:

    mm/dd/yyyy/hh/mm/ss AM/PM

    The answer (s) I'm importing is as follows:

    Date/time physical_cpu server_id

    01/11/2013-12:01:23 AM scc415 6.03999996

    When the record is imported, it eliminates the time, so the imported data are:

    Date/time physical_cpu server_id

    01/11/2013 6.03999996 scc415

    Any idea on how to get this timestamp to import properly? Many appreciate the ideas in advance!

    Looks like I have found the solution. For some reason, export to leave access to Excel first and then open and save the file as a .csv instead of a .xlsx, date/time information are maintained. This problem has been resolved.

    Found the solution on the following link for anyone interested.

    Import from excel using SQLDeveloper date/time field

  • My folder of sql developer

    Hello

    I used to have the ".exe" to "sql develoepr" file in the folder "sqldeveloper - 4.0.2.15.21 - No. - jre.

    I tried to copy the ".exe" on the desktop, I did and it doesn't work when I clicked it, so I deleted it.

    After that, I opened the folder "sqldeveloper - 4.0.2.15.21 - No. - jre" and I saw that the "develoepr.exe sql" file does not exist.

    but I found these files (sdcli, sdcli64, sqldeveloper, sqldeveloper64, sqldeveloper64W and sqldeveloperW) in this way "sqldeveloper - 4.0.2.15.21 - No. - jre > develoepr sql > sql develoepr.

    and there are more or can be opens the program.

    I don't know how it happened?

    can I change the situation to what it was?

    Thank you

    The copy was probably a gesture (by default drag / file on the same disk are a gesture on windows), if you have deleted your only copy.

    Is can be in the Recycle Bin, restore it to the desktop and then bring it back in the folder of the sql developer.

    If it is not in the reccycle sandbox, you must reinstall (or at least unzip the installer somewhere else and copy the sqldevelop.exe).

    You can also run the oher sqldeveloper*.exe files directly.

    In general, you cannot move the executable files because they often use relative paths to find their other components.  Use a shortcut.

    Right-click on the copy of the executable, select.

    Right click on the destination, select Paste shortcut
