Failed to start Remote Access Connection Manager Service. Get the 20 error: the system cannot find the specified device.

This seems to have started with the last batch of updates of Windows 7 (including SP1).
I can't connect using dial-up.  Get the message:
Cannot load the Remote Access Connection Manager service
Error 711: The operation could not complete because it could not start the remote access connection manager service
in time.  Please try the operation again.

When I try to start the Remote Access Connection Manager service manually, I get the message:
Windows could not start the service on Local computer remote access connection manager.
20 error: the system cannot find the specified device.

My phone displays the modem works properly, and telephony and the Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol service started.

I don't know what else might have changed.

I try to resolve the status of the remote access connection manager to "on the road", but the error message invites up to said "Windows could not start the service on local computer remote access connection manager. Error 1068: the dependency service or group could start. "I find the dependencies are Remote Access Auto Connection Manager, routing and remote access, Sharing (ICS) to connect Internet. You can try the folliwng steps and see if it helps.

    Step 1:

You can try to scan the file system [SFC] checker on the computer that will replace missing or corrupt files & check if the problem persists.

For more information, you can consult the following link.

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    Step 2:

  • HP connection manager: Fatal Error, HP Connection Manager Service has stopped responding.

    Hey there,

I have a very big problem with HP Connection Manager 4 on several Windows 7 laptops. The program is installed on about 250 laptop computers and some of them drive me crazy. Everything was fine until some point (I'm not quite sure, that could be after the installation of SP1, Win7), the connection manager has decided to stop working on some machines. Whenever I try to start it, it takes a long time to load until the following message is displayed:

    "HPConnectionManager.exe - fatal error '.

HP Connection Manager service has stopped responding. Quit and restart the application.

A fatal error occurred, check the HP connection manager in the event viewer for more details.

I tried the following on one of these books:

-Start the service manually: "Error 1067: the process terminated unexpectedly."

-Msconfig: Removed any connection associated with Autostart Manager

    -Reinstall the HP connection manager

    -Repair HP Connection Manager

    -Reinstall .NET 3.5

    -Changed some regkeys

-Install Microsoft Hotfix KB2519740 which is part of the system essential updates for Microsoft Windows 7 (that I can't download because there is a server error)

The only thing that really works is to reinstall the laptop with the image with which we install all of them. HP connection manager is installed as a software later so I don't understand why a reinstall is successful.

I'm really tired of this problem, and I have a few unhappy customers on my back, so if you have any suggestions for me, please help.

    Thanks in advance!

Step 2: Perform the clean boot

A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. The article below describes how to solve problems in Windows 7 by performing a clean boot. This article also describes how to start the Windows Installer service and how to reset the computer so that it starts as usual. To configure your computer to clean boot see the following link.

Is that error on this post code, IE something deleted, probably your antivirus or you.

    Explorer

Explorer (explorer.exe) is the program that is the start menu and taskbar, windows folder and the office (which is a folder window).

To see if a fix is available

In Control Panel (and select Classic discovered in the left pane) select reports on the problems and Solutions (problem of type in the START search box), go to historical problem, right-click of your error and choose check for the Solution.

You can also right-click and choose Details for more information. Post these details here. The name of the Module fault is important information.

If the problem affects Panel press the Windows key + R and type wercon (or type it at a command prompt).

Close the browser and start a command prompt

    • Close Windows Explorer
    • Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator.
    • Click Start. Ctrl + Shift + Right-click on an empty spot (just above the power of buttons is one place) then Exit Explorer.
    • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete then Task Manager.

    Hello

    1. you are using a Dell computer?
    2. What is the model number of your computer?
    3. don't you make changes to your computer before the problem?

BCM42RLY is a broadcom driver. I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the drivers.
