SSL connection problem

Hi, I tried to connect to a server (Openfire) XMPP set up on my machine of. I'm an EOFException at the opening of the connection:

SecureConnection secureConnection = (SecureConnection) Connector.open("ssl://10.14.1.94:5222;deviceside=true", Connector.READ_WRITE);

I tried pointing to another server XMPP (talk.google.com) and instead, I had a TLSIOException.

What is a certificate problem? The Openfire Server uses a self-signed certificate.

Thank you!

OK I found the solution and it's a little embarrassing, I was using port 5222, but the server was listening on port 5223 ssl...

  • Connection problem SSL QuickVPN for RV042 only through ISP specific

    Hello

    I noticed a frequent problem using QuickVPN to connect via a RV042.  With an access provider specific (Rogers cable) occasionally for a particular location internet to the Canada QuickVPN stop to be able to connect in my work VPN (although a RV042), even if it had been fine connection before (and can often connect through the same ISP somewhere else).  Although the RV042 is reached and a TCP connection is formed, the SSL connection fails and the problem persists indefinitely.  If I connect to the computer (a laptop Windows Vista) to another ISP, I am able to connect properly.  Restart the cable modem/router do not solve the problem.  I saw once a occurring in similar problem with another ISP (DSP from Bell internet to the Canada), but in this case restart the modem/router DSL has solved the problem.

    I suspect that the edge router in the ISP meets certain problems related to the delivery of SSL connection.

    If anyone has experienced this problem or knows a resolution?

    Thank you
    Mark

    The only configuration for PPTP is to activate the feature, specify the subnet, the router assigns to the logged-in user, then make a PPTP user. It is about as fast as QVPN and uses the built-in MS client.

  • Between R2 2012 Windows and IBM Http Server SSL connection failed periodically.

    Hi, I have a problem recently. I found that my windows server 2012 R2 has sometimes failed to connect with IBM Http Server ssl. Here it is the information of the two servers:

    1 windows 2012 R2

    -Already activate TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.0

    -Already the latest version of windows update and restart

    IIS - 8.5

    2 IBM Http Server

    -Apache 2.2.31

    -using OpenSSL 1.0.2f

    -Allow TLS1.2 and TLS 1.0

    I also captured network traffic when the two server. If the ssl connection has managed to create. Traffic will be like the following screen:

    If the ssl connection was impossible to create, network traffic was like the below:

    You will see that the ssl connection failed when the version of the TLS protocol was passed to TLSv1. And returned access denied.  The details of the access denied was like the below:

    As the captured screen reproduced above, you will see that the SSL for Client Hello was TLSv1.2 but running on the recording layer TLSv1. this Hello customer was sent by the server r2 windows 2012. I don't know why the ssl connection has been passed to TLSv1 suddenly.

    I found that Microsoft has released an update on January 12, 2016. This fix is the resumption of SSL. Update ID was 3109853 , but I have already applied this update on my server. I tried to do the with the other type of server ssl connection, the ssl connection is possible in a stable condition and has happened the problem I mentioned. Is there someone met this case and resolve it finally?

  • Tunnel to establish an SSL connection inside a SSL connection

    I have an application that establishes a SSL30Connection with a web proxy server. This connection is opened using the ConnectionFactory. To enable HTTPS through proxy web, trying to create an SSL connection to a website (for example google.com) that uses the proxy server of SSL connection as its "subConnection" (see javadocs for SSL30Connection). When I try to do, I find myself with an EOFException or a ConnectionClosedException.

    I am aware of the workaround described here and have tried to use it, but still, the SSL connection to the remote server does not.

    Does anyone know if this kind of functionality is supported by the BB? Is there a 3rd party API that could achieve this?

    I open a topic in the RIM developer Issue Tracker as well:

    https://www.BlackBerry.com/jira/browse/JAVAAPI-2179

    Thank you.

    It turns out that several things went wrong.

    (1) the proxy has been close the connection after I read the response HTTP CONNECT. The fix for this consisted of two parts:

    ++ By adding a "Proxy-Connection: keep-alive" header.

    + Changing the way I read the answer. Before, I read the inputStream in 256 b pieces until Ihit-1. I changed it to simply read until I touched a line return character as the CONNECTION response is onlyone linelong.

    After you make these changes, I was able to make a socket: / / connection to the proxy and then do a ssl: / / to the remote server with the proxy as subConnection of ssl connection. However, when I tried to do a ssl: / / connection to the server, I always got the EOFException at the opening of the ssl: / / connection to the remote server. Then, like Santa himself immersed in to give me a Christmas gift at the beginning... I remembered that I had met problems with ssl: / / connections before; specifically, to write data to an ssl: / / OutputStream of connection REQUIRES a call to OutputStream.flush (). If you don't flush, data is never written (or the buffer is really big... anyway, adding that a function flush() suits). Remember this problem led me to the last part of the solution to this problem.

    (2) I wrapped the proxy ssl connection and its already open input and output stream in a class that looks like this:

    public class ProxyStreamConnectionWrapper implements StreamConnection {

        private StreamConnection stream;
        private DataInputStream inputStream;
        private DataOutputStream outputStream;

        public ProxyStreamConnectionWrapper(StreamConnection stream, DataInputStream dataInputStream, DataOutputStream dataOutputStream) {

            this.stream = stream;
            this.inputStream = dataInputStream;
            this.outputStream = dataOutputStream;
        }

        public DataInputStream openDataInputStream() throws IOException {

            return inputStream;
        }

        public InputStream openInputStream() throws IOException {

            return inputStream;
        }

        public void close() throws IOException {

            stream.close();
        }

        public DataOutputStream openDataOutputStream() throws IOException {

            return new DataOutputStream( openOutputStream() );
        }

        public OutputStream openOutputStream() throws IOException {

            return new OutputStream() {

                public void write( byte[] b, int off, int len ) throws IOException {

                    outputStream.write( b, off, len );
                    outputStream.flush();
                }

                public void write( byte[] b ) throws IOException {

                    outputStream.write( b );
                    outputStream.flush();
                }

                public void write( int b ) throws IOException {

                    outputStream.write( b );
                    outputStream.flush();
                }
            };
    }

    I got the idea of this wrapper from a previous post I already linked to above. The solution is in the openOutputStream() method. Adding the function flush() after each write the ssl handshake forces given the connection to the remote server ssl proxy server offline.

    Merry Christmas!

  • Windows live mail send error "the server does not support an SSL connection. Server error 250.

    Original title: Windows live mail error send

    Cannot send mail to Windows Live Mail.  Error message... The server does not support an SSL connection. Server error 250. Server - * address email is removed from the privacy *. Windows Live Mail error ID - 0x800CCC7D. SMTP Protocol.  Port 25.

    It's better, thank you. This message is not from the BT Server; It comes from your Avast antivirus which is intercepting your mail. You would be well advised to turn off the Avast Mail shield; It does not add any additional security if you don't by attention elsewhere, and can cause problems.

    I see that it is the record of mail in bulk that because of the problems in this case. Connect to the Web e-mail account and clear the items junk and deleted records.

    BT is recommended to use SSL, but your original question indicated that SSL was not taken in charge for SMTP on port 25. I think we'd better go on all your settings. Recommendations of BT are on this page: BT email: what are the settings for outgoing and incoming mail servers?, but they only work if you disable Avast scanning mail.

    Right-click on the account name in the folders pane, and then select Properties.

    • Under the servers tab, make sure that my server requires authentication is selected.
      Select connect with authentication in clear text.
    • On the Advanced tab, select this server requires a secure connection (SSL) for both servers.
      Make sure that the incoming (IMAP) port is 993 and port for outgoing (SMTP) is 465.

    When you've made all these changes, close Windows Live mail and wait five minutes for the program do its cleaning and save the modified settings. Then, restart the computer and make sure that the Mail of Avast shield is always off.

    Launch Windows Live Mail, then dial a new test message and send it to yourself. Post a new message in your response.

    FYI - Action in the error code - BEA-290071 said: "the demand should be RFC 1867 compliant."

    How to solve this problem?
    How can I apply the RFC 1867 compliant when the actual query is not created by me?

    The deploy command is improper; lack of some configuration settings?

    The solution is to assign to the property system - Dweblogic.deploy.UploadLargeFile = true when starting the client WLST. Then, any size file gets uploaded to the server even with the SSL connection.

    I confirmed this problem and solution on two different weblogic configurations and it worked. If anyone knows a similar problem, they can try it.

  • Failure of the conversion due to SSL certificate problems - can work around this problem?

    I began the process of migration of a collection of virtual machines in an environment of KVM to an existing cluster of vSphere and try to use the converter (5.5) do a dynamic conversion/migration of a Ubuntu box, but it does not reason create the virtual disk on one of the hosts because of the SSL certificate, and I found no other messages or articles specifically on this (looks like most associated with SSL include improving speed)

    In the worker newspaper, I can see that:

    • The converter is able to successfully create the target VM
    • The attempt to create the virtual disk is defective for the certificate SSL is not invalid (all systems in the cluster appear to be using default certificates from VMware).  In the log file of the worker:

    2014-08 - 07T 09: 35:13.947 - 07:00 [warning 06620 'Default'] [, 0] SSL_IsVerifyEnabled: failed to read the registry value. Falling back to the default behavior: verification on. LastError = 0

    • The goal of the virtual machine is removed.

    Is it possible to simply disable the validation of certificate for this process?  In the newspaper, it looks like a registry key that it would control, but I have not found any information on this subject (or guessed correctly).  Or can I import this certificate on the local Windows system running converter to get around it (I could not with this approach, but either)

    It's really not clear to me which system validation.  While the worker log shows it connect to the vSphere host, there is no such line indicating it connects to the host where the target VM is located, and it looks like this is the host with the certificate which is considered not valid.   Validation occurs not on my local system running the converter? (the parameters of the vCenter server shows that the box 'vCenter requires a verification of certificates SSL host' is unchecked already)

    Thank you

    Scott

    You might want to take a look at Re: an error occurred when opening a virtual disk. Make sure that the converter server and source running machines have network access to the ESX/ESXi hosts source and destination and let me know if it works for you.

  • SSL connection downloading error

    I recently uninstalled Flash Player and now you want to re - install.  Whenever I click on the download button I get msg error SSL connection.

    You are using a proxy server?

    It is very probably the installer online that you use, because it is an installer of shim which downloads and installs Flash Player silently in the background.  The screenshot could confirm this.  I would go log files get to Setup online to give the installer online team to solve this further.  In addition to the screenshot of the error, follow these steps:

    1. In Windows Explorer, go to your TEMP directory, usually C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp\ unless it has been changed
    2. Create a file named ADM.traceempty text.  The file extension itself is .trace, not .txt or anything else.
      1. To create the empty text file, navigate to the %Temp% directory, right-click in an empty area, and select new > text Document
      2. Rename the new file in ADM.trace
    3. Download again the Setup get.adobe.com/flashplayer online and run it until it returns the error.  Close the installation program
    4. In Windows Explorer, go to your TEMP directory and navigate to the Adobe_ADMLogs directory (C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp\Adobe_ADMLogs)
    5. Download the two files, Adobe_ADM.log and Adobe_GDE.log, by following the instructions that the specified item was not found.
    6. After the URL for files downloaded in your response.

    You should be able to install using the installer in offline mode, posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows page in the section "problems".  Please provide the log files because this will help you to resolve the error.

    Thank you.
